Cincinnati has a new interim city manager. Paula Boggs Muething, who has been city solicitor since 2014, stepped into the role vacated by Patrick Duhaney in June. Muething takes the helm after the city faced its largest budget deficit in its history brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. At time of nationwide protests and calls for police reform, Cincinnati is also facing a spike in homicides.

Now that the holidays are done, football ushers us into the new year with plenty to go around.   In the NFL, He's baaaack!  Jon Gruden is finally coming out of the broadcast booth to resume his NFL head coaching career as he is set to accept a 10-year, 100 million dollar offer from the Oakland Raiders.  Why now?  Why 10 years?   Road teams ruled 2018 NFL Wildcard Saturday as both the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons scored road victories against the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams, respectively.  We'll break down how each team won, then preview 2018 NFL Wildcard Sunday as the Buffalo Bills, returning to the playoffs for the first time since 1999, face the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are returning to the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 2008.  In the NFC, Can the New Orleans Saints defeat the Carolina Panthers for the 3rd time this season?   We'll also predict the Super Bowl LII matchup as well as the all-SEC matchup in the 2018 College Football Playoff between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs. Can Kirby Smart do what no other former Nick Saban assistant has done and that's beat his former boss?   Co-host Patrick Duhaney will give his MMA/Boxing report that will focus on Holly Holm, and her matchup with Cris Cyborg.  If there's time, we'll get into the NBA and the Los Angeles Lakers recent nosedive.  Can they turn it around to make this season of hope somewhat respectable? In what was the craziest week in sports this year, college football was right  in the middle of it as Chip Kelly was hired by UCLA; Jimbo Fisher was hired by Texas A&M;Scott Frost was hired by Nebraska; and Dan Mullen was hired by Florida.  Which university won the coaching carousel sweepstakes?  We'll also examine and discuss the ongoing debacle in terms of University of Tennessee hiring a coach and how they made the bed they must now sleep in.  Speaking of college football, we have pure chaos on our hands coming out of college football championship Saturday as 2 of the top 4 College Football Playoff teams lost.  Should the committee give that final slot to 1-loss Alabama or to 2-loss the Ohio State. who won the Big 10 outright?   Eli Manning and his time with the New York Giants may be numbered at this point as his consecutive games started streak is coming to an end this week in favor of Geno Smith.  Did the Giants make the right move?  Did Eli deserve better?  If the Los Angeles Lakers continue to falter, should they make a move in-season to acquire Paul George?  We'll discuss.  We'll bring back our mancrush and knucklehead of the week segment for your entertainment.  We'll preview week 13 of the NFL.   Show co-host, Patrick Duhaney, we'll have his boxing/ MMA report.  This show is the gift that keeps on giving during this festive holiday season.  Happy holidays, diehards.
