In the next week, legislation that would help create a single-payer health plan in California will face a key test. The bill must pass out of the Assembly by January 31 or it's dead. The effort is being led by the state's nurses union, but opposed by the largest association of doctors. Guest: Dr. Micah Johnson, co-author of the book Medicare for All: A Citizen's Guide Legislation introduced by State Senator Richard Pan would eliminate a personal belief exemption in school-based COVID-19 vaccination requirements. The proposal is expected to face strong pushback from those who have fought vaccine mandates. The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will renew their rivalry Sunday at SoFi Stadium, with a berth in the Super Bowl on the line. The Rams are hoping their fans show up more than they did in the regular season finale between the two teams.

The Los Angeles Rams are advancing to the NFC Championship. In the process, they've ended Tom Brady's season, and have presented themselves with an opportunity to host the team that has given them nightmares over the past three seasons. Regardless, this episode was focused on what the Rams were able to accomplish during the most relentless weekend of football the world has ever seen. Not only was Matthew Stafford, Sean McVay, and the Rams' offense prolific (when they weren't coughing the ball up), but the Rams' defensive front (primary Von Miller and Aaron Donald), left Tom Brady with a bloody lip and a ton to think about this offseason. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in possibly the best NFL game ever. It took overtime and the Chiefs didn't allow the Bills to get the ball as they march down the field and scored with ease. The Los Angeles Rams took down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady on a last-second field goal. The Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a huge upset over Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. On today's episode, Jason gets the party started with a deep dive into arguably the greatest Divisional Playoff game in NFL history. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes put on an offensive show, but it was the Kansas City Chiefs who came out victorious over the Buffalo Bills. The only bad thing you can say about that game is that the NFL overtime rules need to change; After what we saw in regulation, it's a shame that Allen never got a chance to answer in overtime. And as for those who think that Bills head coach Sean McDermott cost his team the victory by refusing to squib in the final seconds of regulation, just stop- McDermott did the right thing. Unfortunately for Buffalo, Mahomes is just that special. On the flip side, one coach who absolutely, unequivocally did not to the right thing on Sunday was Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. The day after Bowles interviewed for a head coaching gig, he watched Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams run an offensive clinic against the Bucs defense. Tampa Bay was woefully unprepared for that game, and were it not for some bizarre Rams blunders and conservative play calling late by Sean McVay, this game would've been a blowout. Finally, Jason and Producer Rob G close the show by discussing which Super Bowl matchup they believe is most desirable. We can all agree that America wants to see Mahomes and the Chiefs on the biggest stage, but is the better storyline a Super Bowl rematch with the San Francisco 49ers or an encore of the greatest regular season game of all-time against the Rams? Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler announced his retirement, but the Steelers are looking at Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. What does this mean for Teryl Austin? Mike Tomlin has called the defense, but could he be looking for a new coordinator who can call those plays? Or does he want Austin or Graham to be similar to Butler in how they prepared the defense each week for him to call during the game? Also, what a wild weekend in the NFL with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs outlasting the Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, along with the Los Angeles Rams surviving Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while Joe Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals over the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers ousted Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. But with all those games featuring big quarterback names and huge arms, does that mean the Steelers are doomed for the foreseeable future without finding its own superstar quarterback? Not necessarily, and Chris Carter explains why their plan doesn't necessarily need the team to sell the farm for one of those quarterbacks ... this season. On today's episode, Jason kicks things off a few thoughts on the reports that Frank Vogel could be coaching for his job these days with the Los Angeles Lakers. That is absolutely stunning. Anthony Davis is still hurt and Russell Westbrook has been mostly terrible all season, so its should come as no surprise that the Lakers are struggling these days. If anyone has to go in Los Angeles, it should be Westbrook, not Vogel. Later, Jason does a deep dive into all of the NFL Divisional round playoff games from a sports gambling perspective. The Cincinnati Bengals are the postseason upstarts, but can they compete with a suddenly healthy Tennessee Titans squad? We're betting on Derrick Henry, AJ Brown and Ryan Tannehill in this one. The advanced statistics say that the San Francisco 49ers are actually a better team than the Green Bay Packers, but it's really hard to bet on a banged-up Jimmy G at Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers should win this one. Moving over to the Sunday games, most folks agree that it's easier to trust Tom Brady in a big spot over Matthew Stafford, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the side in this game. Not only will the Los Angeles Rams cover the spread, but they're going to win this one outright. Finally, Josh Allen versus Patrick Mahomes should easily be the game of the weekend. But, that doesn't necessarily mean Kansas City won't cover the spread; Put your money on the Chiefs. Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, is joined by Jenna Harner of WPXI-TV. The Pittsburgh Steelers have both Ahkello Withersoon and Joe Haden as unrestricted free agents and desperately need a top cornerback to be on the roster in 2022. Which of their own players should they re-sign to bring back in free agency, or should Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin try to go big and get J.C. Jackson in free agency? Also, Steelers punter Pressley Harvin III revealed his mental health struggles during the season as he lost both his father and grandmother in the span of two weeks. Were the Steelers right in giving him another chance in the playoffs after having a tough rookie season? And, picking all divisional round playoff games. Will the Tennessee Titans get back Derrick Henry and hold off the Cincinnati Bengals? Can Aaron Rodgers get his first playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers for the Green Bay Packers?
