Last weekend was a busy one for the US. On the sporting side alone, you had the kick-off of the 2026 Fifa World Cup, the decades-ending wait for a New York Knicks championship victory, and the small matter of MMA fighters bruising up the White House lawn. On the geopolitical front, there was the much-welcomed agreement of a peace deal between the US and Iran, three-and-a-half months after that conflict began. At the centre of it all, in one way or another, stood president Donald J Trump. Trump had his own personal milestone to celebrate on Sunday as he turned 80 years old. Performing any high-pressure job at the age of 80 is challenging enough, but Trump is the leader of the free world. Recent on-camera sightings might suggest that Trump is visibly withering, despite fiery pushback from his spokespeople and glowing medical reports from his medical team. We're only midway through Trump 2.0, but is he still up to the job? And for those looking to travel to the US for short- or long-term stays, are Irish visitors still as welcome as Trump's travel tsar so enthusiastically insists we are? From 06/15 Hour 2: Mike Maher recaps his crazy experience at UFC Freedom 250.
The people's house is being rented out for a pay-per-view cage match. On his own birthday, Donald Trump is staging a UFC event at the White House — with security and overhead costs that will run American taxpayers an estimated ten to twelve million dollars, on top of a sixty million dollar production tab. This isn't a charity fundraiser. It isn't on broadcast TV. It's a corporate hype machine behind a Paramount paywall while American families wrestle with gas prices, grocery bills, and a brutal summer economy. Paul Rieckhoff — a longtime MMA fan who trained in mixed martial arts in the military — breaks down why even die-hard UFC supporters are recoiling from this one. The deeper story is corruption, and history has a warning. What ultimately toppled Viktor Orbán in Hungary wasn't ideology — it was the rot. The sense that the leader and his family were getting rich while everyone else was suffering. Sound familiar? This episode connects the UFC spectacle to the broader pattern: the president's name on the arch, on Mount Rushmore pitches, on commemorative coins, on a wing of the White House being torn down. The exponential wealth gains for Trump and his children. The foreign money flowing into family funds. This is a no-BS briefing for the Angry Middle on what happens when a head of state confuses the public trust with a personal brand — and why good Republicans, independents, and Democrats alike need to meet in the middle and call it what it is. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Visit Kalshi and trade on anything. -Join Noble Mobile today and get a $100 bonus when you stay a member for 2 months! -Join IVA and stand up to Trump's Forever Wars. -Learn more about Paul's work to elect a new generation of independent leaders with Independent Veterans of America. -Learn more about American Veterans for Ukraine here. -Remember Independent is an Attitude. -Learn more about The Headstrong Project for Veterans, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), and Department of Veterans Affairs resources in your area. Josh opens the show by breaking down the latest reports surrounding a potential Iran deal. What do we actually know, what remains unclear, and why hasn't the public seen the text of the agreement? Josh examines the information being released by Iran, raises concerns about what may be included in the deal, and explains why Americans should be demanding more transparency before celebrating any diplomatic breakthrough. Later, Josh is joined by Rebeccah Heinrichs, Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, to discuss what she's hearing about the proposed agreement and why caution is warranted as negotiations appear to be moving forward. Heinrichs shares her analysis of the strategic implications for the United States, Iran, and the broader Middle East. Josh also takes on the Left's latest attempt at counter-programming following last night's MMA event at the White House. He explains why he believes the effort fell flat, failed to connect with everyday Americans, and serves as another example of Democrats misunderstanding the issues and cultural moments that resonate with voters.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Billi breaks down the headline bouts from tonight's UFC Freedom 250 main card. Donald Trump is of course expected to be in attendance for the event as the White House hosts a sporting event for the first time ever. The card will feature a lightweight fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, while Alex Pereira is also set to take on Ciryl Gane in a heavyweight interim bout. This will all take place outside in an arena that was built specifically for this event.

Darrach Ó Duibh has such an interesting story, and I wanted to speak with him to discuss his incredible life journey and the profound, unexpected insights he gained while translating the Book of Mormon into the Irish language longhand. He's an ancient language researcher, polyglot, and textual critic based in Ireland. Having previously worked as a bibliographic researcher for FARMS (now the Maxwell Institute) under the legendary LDS scholar Hugh Nibley, Darrach started this translation project 20 years ago while bedridden after a honeymoon car crash. Adding another dimension to his life, Darrach is also a well-respected professional mixed martial arts (MMA) referee. We explore his unique personal interactions with Hugh Nibley, his background growing up with a father in military intelligence, and the powerful textual evidence for multiple, distinct prophetic voices that only becomes visible when translating the Book of Mormon text word by word. Some highlights from this episode include:Working with Hugh Nibley: Darrach shares first hand stories from his time sitting across the desk from Hugh Nibley at BYU, including Nibley's shocking command of ancient languages, his quiet patience with students, and a legendary family story involving a moving train in Utah.Growing Up in Military Intelligence: From learning languages at six years old to witnessing his father barter with guards in Russian at Checkpoint Charlie, Darrach explains how his childhood in Germany unlocked his lifelong love for language. The Ancient Egyptian Pattern in the Text: A fascinating deep dive into the very first verses of First Nephi, Enos, Omni, Mormon, and Moroni, revealing a complex, authentic ancient narrative pattern known as the narrative infinitive or "stacking" that Joseph Smith could not have easily fabricated.Hearing Distinct Voices: Darrach details how his translation work forced him to recognize completely different linguistic registers, vocabulary, and tones between Nephi, Jacob, and Mormon, providing stunning textual evidence for the book's authenticity.Faith, Revelation, and Suspension: A discussion on why the Lord purposely keeps archaeological and metaphysical proof in a state of suspension, allowing spiritual knowledge and true faith to flourish rather than letting it become dormant. You can find Darrach's Irish translation of the Book of Mormon at the following link:Amazon: An Leabhar Mhórmoin: Fianaise eile ar Íosa Críost (Irish Edition) https://www.amazon.com/Leabhar-Mh%C3%B3rmoin-Fianaise-Cr%C3%ADost-Irish/dp/B0H2W35RW4/Follow For All The Saints on social media for updates and inspiring content:www.instagram.com/forallthesaintspodhttps://www.facebook.com/forallthesaintspod/For All The Saints episodes are released every Monday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVDUQg_qZIU&list=UULFFf7vzrJ2LNWmp1Kl-c6K9Qhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3j64txm9qbGVVZOM48P4HS?si=bb31d048e05141f2https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/for-all-the-saints/id1703815271If you have feedback or any suggestions for topics or guests, connect with Ben & Sean via hello@forallthesaints.org or DM on InstagramConversations to Refresh Your Faith. For All The Saints podcast was established in 2023 by Ben Hancock to express his passion and desire for more dialogue around faith, religious belief, and believers' perspectives on the topics of our day. PWTorch editor Wade Keller is joined by PWTorch's Javier Machado to review WWE Smackdown with live chat and caller interactions throughout starting with thoughts on Jey Uso advancing to the King of the Ring semi-final and how KOTR could play out from here. A lot of talk about the dynamic with the Bloodline and Bloodline-adjacent wrestlers interacting in ambiguous, intriguing ways and whether it will pay off or end up softening fan passion for a certain outcome. Also, a lot of praise for the Sami Zayn-Cody Rhodes dynamic, the messy and convoluted women's match (and the ridiculous "This is awesome!" chant from the crowd), LA Knight's hot streak on the mic (with a couple misspeaks tonight), Jade Cargill's preoccupation with her wig coming loose, Royce Keys-Solo Sikoa intrigue, and more.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wade-keller-pro-wrestling-post-shows--3275545/support.

A 29-point lead in the NBA Finals should be a safe place to breathe. Then the Knicks erase it anyway, and we are left staring at the wreckage asking the only question that matters: did New York win this game, or did San Antonio give it away? I'm joined by Matt Wilcox to break down the Spurs' meltdown, the Knicks' grit, and why this comeback felt less like a highlight reel and more like watching inevitability take over in real time.We dig into Victor Wembanyama's rough stretch, what fatigue does to shooting and free throws, and why modern NBA offenses keep talking themselves into bad threes when the simple answer is clock control. We also argue about coaching adjustments, late-game decision making, and how Finals basketball changes the standard for physical play and whistle culture. Along the way, we hit the weird energy around Knicks fandom and the Madison Square Garden “mecca of basketball” myth, while still giving real credit to Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns for keeping their team calm. Then we pivot to MMA and the looming return of Conor McGregor, because sports nostalgia is powerful until reality shows up. We talk through what it feels like to outgrow a hero, explain civil vs criminal burden of proof in plain language, and zoom out on UFC politics, fighter pay, and Dana White's influence on the product. If you care about the NBA Finals, the UFC, and the psychology of fandom, this one goes straight at the uncomfortable parts.
