Detroit Lions Facing a Real Test in Philadelphia The Detroit Lions go into this week with a very different vibe than they had seven days ago. A week after sleepwalking through a sloppy loss to the Minnesota Vikings at home, Detroit walked into Washington and punched the Washington Commanders right in the mouth. It was physical, it was controlled, and it looked a lot more like the version of this team that believes it belongs at the very top of the NFL. Now comes the real measuring stick: a Sunday showdown on the road with the Philadelphia Eagles. Dan Campbell, Playcalling, and an Offense That Finally Looked Like It Meant It The biggest story out of Washington was not just that the Lions won, it was how they did it. Dan Campbell took over offensive play calling and the difference was obvious. There was no easing into the game, no waiting until the fourth quarter to hit the gas. Detroit went for two early after a penalty on the extra point, turned a routine kick into a statement, and immediately changed the math for the Commanders. That is Campbell in a nutshell – aggressive, intentional, and unapologetic. For Jared Goff, it looked like a weight came off his shoulders. Protection was not perfect, but it was worlds better than what we saw against the Vikings. The offensive line, hammered all week for the Minnesota performance, responded with a tone setting effort. Penei Sewell mauled people, Taylor Decker was downfield hunting on screens and runs, and Christian Mahogany's absence was softened by strong work from Kayode Awosika and Tate Ratledge inside. This is what the Lions need if they are going to survive a front that includes Jalen Carter, Hassan Reddick and the rest of the Eagles' pass rush. Campbell and Goff will have to marry protection, timing and aggression to keep the offense out of third and forever and avoid the screen heavy panic we saw two weeks ago. From Washington to Philadelphia: Kelvin Shepherd's Defense and the Next Step It was easy to forget in the frustration after the Minnesota loss that this defense had been playing at a high level for most of the year. In Washington, Kelvin Shepherd reminded everyone why he got the job. The Lions mixed pressures, disguised coverages and tackled well in space. The Commanders never found a rhythm. Detroit never let them breathe. That formula has to travel. The Philadelphia Eagles still have one of the most talented offensive cores in the NFL. Jalen Hurts can extend plays, AJ Brown can take over drives, and DeVonta Smith can hurt you in the blink of an eye. The Lions do not have to shut them out, but they do have to keep Hurts in the pocket, limit the explosives, and make Philadelphia earn every yard. So are the Detroit Lions true contenders or just a tough out. This week will not decide the season, but it will tell us how close they really are. Beat the Eagles in their building and the conversation changes from “nice story” to “NFC favorite.” Lose, and it is another lesson in what it takes to get where they want to go. Either way, Sunday in Philadelphia is exactly what this team has been building toward: a real test, on a real stage, with everything still in front of them. #CampbellPlaycalling #GoffResponds #LionsRebound #ShepherdDefense #BeatPhillyMission #LionsOLWatch #LionsInTheHunt #PhillyTestAhead #FordFieldFallout #NextManUpDetroit Learn more about your ad choices. The Philadelphia Phillies are in the midst of their offseason, and there are questions about how this team will look in 2026. What might happen with talent in the outfield? Might the Phillies front office spend big again to keep the team's postseason hopes alive? This week, Tim Kelly from OnPattison.com joined the pod and dove into what we can expect from the Phillies during this offseason and what the future holds for this team. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys dove into some Eagles storylines as this team is 7-2 and atop the NFC. The impact of Jaelan Phillips in his first game as an Eagle, A.J. Brown's recent comments and what he means to this team, Jaire Alexander decides to retire, and an offense that continues to sputter. (Approx. 5:00)From there, they got into their biggest surprises of this Flyers season. (Approx. 18:40)Then they discussed how the Philadelphia Union took care of business against the Chicago Fire in the MLS postseason, and what this team needs to do to beat New York City FC in the Conference Semifinals. (Approx. 25:50)The guys also dove into the gambling scandal that has rocked the baseball world and Cleveland Guardians. (Approx. 33:10)What they threw down on the Table this week was a great conversation with Tim Kelly from On Pattison about how this Phillies offseason may go. Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season delivered thrilling upsets, game-winning drives, and record-breaking performances that dramatically altered playoff races and power rankings across the AFC and NFC, and the Korner Booth podcast crew breaks down all the biggest highlights, stats, and takeaways from this action-packed Sunday of professional football! Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns in Week 10, including an 8-yard game-winning touchdown in overtime as the Colts defeated the Atlanta Falcons 31-25 in the NFL's international game in Berlin, Germany—Taylor's 83-yard touchdown run in regulation marked the longest rushing touchdown of the 2025 NFL season. The New England Patriots extended their winning streak to seven consecutive games with a 28-23 road victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by standout rookie performances from TreVeyon Henderson and Kyle Williams, while Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams delivered his fourth game-winning drive of the season in the Bears' 24-20 comeback win over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. In the biggest upset of NFL Week 10, the Miami Dolphins stunned the Buffalo Bills 30-13 as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdown passes and running back De'Von Achane recorded 225 total yards from scrimmage in a dominant AFC East divisional matchup. The late afternoon NFL games and primetime matchups brought more playoff implications and historic quarterback milestones. The Detroit Lions dominated the Washington Commanders to stay competitive in the NFC North division race and avenge their 2024 NFL playoff loss, while the Seattle Seahawks rolled past the Arizona Cardinals in NFC West action. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford made NFL history, becoming the ninth quarterback ever to reach 400 career passing touchdowns while leading the Rams to victory over the San Francisco 49ers—Stafford's remarkable streak now includes 20 touchdown passes and zero interceptions over his last six games, one of the best QB performances in recent NFL history. The Los Angeles Chargers dominated Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers 25-10 on Sunday Night Football, with the Chargers' elite defense holding the Steelers to just 2-of-11 on third-down conversions and forcing two crucial interceptions. With NFL playoff positioning tightening, division races heating up, and multiple Super Bowl contenders making major statements in Week 10, this weekend proved once again why every single game matters during the crucial final stretch of the 2025 NFL regular season.

They debate whether Fernando Mendoza or Julian Sayin should be the Heisman frontrunner and break down the Indiana–Ohio State matchup and other key games from the weekend.
