These players, whose day jobs provide protection for the people of our community, practice in the cold mornings, put up with the aches and pains of getting into “football” shape in hopes that the public turns out for this fantastic event and raise money for local non profits.Longest running charity football game in the US. Only 8 years shorter than the Super Bowl. The Sacramento Pig Bowl Association has raised over 1.6 million dollars to local charities. The Firefighters Burn Institute, Sac Sheriff's Toy Project and Make A Wish Central California are this year’s charities.The Pig Bowl takes place on Saturday, January 25th - Kids Safety Fair 11 AM to 1 pm / Pregame Show 12 pm / Kick Off 1 pm - Tickets $10 each – Children 5 & under are free.
