Iv'e recently noticed an interesting pattern in my sleep. Those days where I'm strictly low carb-high protein, I tend to wake up at 4 am regardless of what time I go to sleep. I usually go to bed at 10, but even when I went to bed at 12 - same thing happened! It's always the same time - betwwen 4 to 4:30 and from then until wake-up time I'm drowsing on and off! The other days when I'm adding carb throughout the day, my sleep is amazing! I've tried adding a little carb at night on my low carb days, sometimes a banana, sometimes even a piece of cake, but to no sucess. I take vitamin D every day both from the sun (when available) and from supplements (10000 UI). I'm 30 years old and I work out 3-4 days a week bodybuilding style. Oh and I fall asleep quite fast at night, but it's the waking up that bothers me. Hope you can help me, and waiting for your kosher certification on your LMNT's. Israel from Brooklyn   Brother's horrific fibro post op kidney transplant Longest time listener, first time caller, My brother (28 years old) suddenly went into kidney failure for no reason anyone has provided a good explanation for on Christmas Day 2019. He was on hemodialysis and then peritoneal dialysis until July of 2022. He underwent a kidney transplant from the best human among us. ‘Phase II' of his transplant included (was supposed to include) receiving stem cells from his donor post operatively, with emerging data showing reduction of anti-rejection meds with treatment. The trial was cancelled 10 days before he was supposed to participate, and who knows what happened to these stem cells. He is currently experiencing excruciating full body pains and has been diagnosed with medication induced fibromyalgia. He eats SQUEAKY clean, 5'10/160lbs but has poor tolerance to exercise because getting hot or sweating makes him itch excessively. He is nearing hopelessness due to the severity of symptoms and since his clinical trial was cancelled, will never receive those already harvested/cultured stem cells. I can't watch him suffer anymore and gratefully ask for any suggestions or referrals you could provide. You guys rock - found you guys in 2013 and it changed everything for me. Sincerely, Concerned sister   TRT Matt: Hi Robb I know you've brought up this subject in the past and chronically you experience with clomid. Today's "BOMBSHELL" episode of Two Mikes's podcast was both our " LONGEST” and among one of our most informative. Our guest was Dr. Lee Merritt, who has been with us several times previously. As listeners will remember, Dr. Merritt has been valiantly opposing the death-shot for several years, and has been slandered -- probably libeled -- by some of her fellow doctors and some medical associations for telling the truth about the vaccine fraud and its murderous impact on millions. Dr. Merritt gave us an update of the status of the battle against the medical-government-Big Pharma effort to use vaccines that are useless for anything except causing sudden death, wide-spread miscarriages, sterility, crippling's, and enormous population reductions. We also found out today that Dr, Merritt is well versed in Russian history and literature, speaks and reads Russian, and has assessed 5-G transmissions as a threat to human well-being. Dr. Merritt said that we are all lucky that Putin is Russia's president as, at the moment, he seems to be the only adult in the room, and was reacting understandably to the U.S., NATO, and The EU reneging on their written pledges not to move NATO closer to Russia's Western border and not to make Ukraine a member of the NATO or the EU. She also said that it is more than likely the West's relentless hatred for, as well as its aching for war with Putin and Russia, is due to the rapid post-Soviet recovery and still growing strength of the Russian Orthodox Church In regard to possible lethal danger of 5-G transmissions, Dr. Merritt explained, again in language that even The Two Mikes could understand, that 5-G is yet another tool that the globalists can use to reduce the world's population via premeditated murder. Finally, Dr. Merritt presented a detailed explanation of why the Khazarians -- AKA: the Khazarian mafia -- are the main and most-hateful leaders of the Globalists' lethal and diabolical operations, all of which are designed to slaughter most of the world's population. Again, this episode is one of our longest and so listeners might want to take in several goes. “Listening to Two Mikes will make you smarter!” - Gov Robert L. Gary Shaughnessy: From Parkinson's diagnosis to completing the world's hardest triathlon - and breaking the record for the longest distance ever run three-legged in 24 hours

Running Tales

Gary Shaughnessy has done a lot in the world of running, from completing 40 marathons to raising thousands of pounds for charity. But perhaps his greatest achievement came in finishing the Arch to Arc Triathlon, dubbed the hardest triathlon in the world. Starting at Marble Arch in London and heading to the heart of Paris and the Arc de Triomphe, the event consists of an 87-mile run, swimming the English Channel (Gary swapped in a gruelling row for the swim) and 181-miles of cycling. What makes Gary's success even more remarkable is that it came after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2015. The triathlon was one of a series of incredible challenges, including several marathons and ultra, that Gary has carried out in aid of Parkinson's UK, a charity of which he is the Chair of the Board of Trustees. In between he even found time to set a new world record for the longest distance ever run three-legged in 24 hours. He's not intending to stop yet though, with a host of events booked for 2023, including marathons in Newport, Paris and Madrid, cycling from Liverpool to Ukraine, swimming from St Kitts to Nevis, and a team cycle ride from Dover to Barcelona to attend the World Parkinson's Coalition. In a wide-ranging conversation, Running Tales spoke to Gary about everything from health and wellbeing to his role at England Athletics, where he is the Chair of the Board...   ---------------------------------- You can sponsor Gary Shaughnessy for his 2023 events at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gary-shaughnessy2 and find more information at https://www.garyschallenges.com/ Subscribe to our Substack newsletter at https://runningtales.substack.com If you like this episode please consider donating to help us keep going: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/stepforward

This episode is brought to you by Rupa Health, Athletic Greens, Joovv, and BiOptimizers. We can't avoid getting older, but we can reduce biological aging—the internal process that creates all the symptoms of the disease we've come to call aging. That means we can be one age chronologically, and another internally. I'm happy to use myself as an example of what we can do to our biology when we take out negative inputs and embrace positive ones: I'm 63 years old but my biological age is 43. We are living in a pivotal time for reframing the intersection of age and health. My passion for this topic combined with the incredible tools I've discovered led me to write my new book, Young Forever, so that I could share this life-changing information with others. Today on the podcast, I'm so excited to sit down with my friend and business partner Dhru Purohit to talk about some of the key highlights from my research on longevity. Dhru and I dive into the best way to determine your biological age so that you can begin your own journey of aging backward with measurable data. Functional Medicine provides us with the perfect framework to prevent and heal dis-ease, with the exciting side effect of reduced aging. My guest today is someone who has been leading a global health revolution around using food as medicine to support longevity, energy, mental clarity and happiness. Dr Mark Hyman has been a practicing medical doctor for several decades, he is the Head of Strategy and Innovation at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and the author of an incredible 18 books. His latest one, Young Forever: The Secrets To Living Your Longest, Healthiest Life, challenges us to reimagine our biology and the entire process of ageing. In our conversation, Mark walks us through the 10 hallmarks of ageing, and explains what we can all practically do to influence them. He talks about the difference between our chronological age and our biological age and wants to reframe the idea that growing older means becoming frail, weak and less independent. In fact, Mark believes that as a society we have normalised what he calls ‘abnormal ageing'. We talk in detail about food and how our daily choices influence the speed at which we will age. Mark explains how all the chronic diseases of modern life – heart disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes and dementia – are in some way related to disturbances in how we regulate blood sugar. And he details the ‘wildfire of downstream effects' this can lead to - things like inflammation, increased belly fat and an increase in stress hormones. Mark also shares powerful research showing that we can reverse our biological age by up to three years in just eight weeks. We also cover the controversial topic of protein, the crucial need for resistance training as we get older, and what exactly Mark learned from visiting the Blue Zones – places around the world where the population naturally thrives into old age. Their default culture, he says, is a diet rich in whole foods and phyto-chemicals, a naturally active lifestyle, being socially connected and a strong sense of meaning. People who live well into old age, it seems, live close to the earth and each other. How's that for a health goal worth aspiring to?Support the podcast and enjoy Ad-Free episodes.
