The Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor mill is firing on all cylinders. Alleged leaks suggest GTA 6 could make players actually refuel their cars, because apparently escaping the cops and committing fictional felonies wasn't immersive enough. Now we may get the authentic experience of realizing the tank is on E at the absolute worst possible moment.Would stolen cars come with random amounts of gas? Could you abandon one because the tank is empty? Would GTA Costco memberships get you cheaper fuel? These are the important questions being asked by this comedy podcast while the rest of society presumably does something productive. Then we discover—or rediscover, depending on how damaged everyone's memory is—the 1985 cinematic achievement known as Gymkata. The premise is magnificently stupid: take gymnastics, combine it with karate and create an unstoppable martial art. That's it. That's the movie. Olympic gymnast Kurt Thomas is sent on a dangerous mission where his greatest weapon is himself…and the conveniently placed gymnastics equipment that somehow keeps appearing whenever dozens of bad guys need to be kicked in the face.Moon reveals that Gymkata has been living rent-free in his subconscious since childhood, including scenes that still randomly appear in his dreams. This launches the crew into an extremely important celebration of the ridiculous action and sports movies of the '80s: Rad, No Retreat, No Surrender, Best of the Best, No Holds Barred, Bloodsport and the glorious era when movie executives could apparently greenlight anything as long as somebody knew karate.Naturally, Jean-Claude Van Damme doing the splits leads Lern to ask questions about male anatomy that nobody was emotionally prepared to answer. Suddenly we're discussing whether men have a “seam,” whether God is responsible for said seam, and why absolutely none of this information was included in health class. And then Steven Seagal arrives. The crew finds audio of Seagal telling a story about being in Kazakhstan before stopping to ask, “How do you say in English…” despite being born in Lansing, Michigan. What follows is a forensic investigation into Steven Seagal's increasingly mysterious relationship with the English language, fake accents, international travel and whether spending enough time somewhere can legitimately change how you talk. From there, Crap on Celebrities turns surprisingly philosophical when Dr. Dre and Billy Corgan land on opposite sides of the AI music debate. Dre sees artificial intelligence as another creative tool, while Corgan wants absolutely nothing to do with it. Moon breaks down how producers already use loops, samples and pre-built musical elements, leading to a bigger question: where exactly does using technology stop being a tool and start becoming “cheating”?This comedy podcast also gets into Bret Michaels recovering from kidney stone surgery while apparently refusing to surrender his hat under any circumstances, Kacey Musgraves performing while floating on giant disco-ball truck nuts, Dolly Parton exploring avatar performances, Bonnaroo taking a year off, and St. Louis artist Slater covering Hole's “Violet.”Plus, the CW dumps Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, DC apparently decides Gorilla Grodd needs a true-crime mockumentary, National Treasure 3 inches closer to becoming a real movie, and Lern takes everyone on an unsolicited but surprisingly enjoyable Whitesnake journey. Then we wrap things up with celebrity birthdays—including Dave Chappelle, Cal Ripken Jr., Steve Guttenberg and Vince McMahon—before heading toward relationship fun facts and the mysterious 7-7-7 rule. It's GTA rumors, '80s movie nostalgia, celebrity news, music industry arguments, St. Louis chaos and several conversations that should've ended three sentences earlier. In other words: a comedy podcast.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the funny show where every perfectly reasonable conversation eventually gets dragged into an alley and beaten senseless by five people with microphones. We're coming off our takeover of The Fast Lane, and apparently not everyone received the memo. The ESPN audience showed up expecting sports talk and instead got us, leading to confused texts, angry sports fans and the crew slowly realizing that sports-radio listeners chirp hosts the same way they chirp players from the stands. Honestly, we respect the commitment. Moon even dared to discuss soccer in St. Louis, which naturally went over calmly and rationally with everyone.Obviously.With that historic broadcasting achievement behind us, we immediately announce record ratings, retire undefeated and turn our attention to the Savannah Bananas coming to Busch Stadium. And this is where baseball gets weird. We break down Banana Ball rules, including no bunting, batters potentially stealing first, sprinting after ball four, the Golden Batter, bizarre tiebreakers and the glorious rule where a fan catching a foul ball can actually record an out. Finally, buying a glove as a grown adult has consequences beyond your friends making fun of you. That sends us directly into Steve Bartman history, because why stay on topic? We revisit the infamous Cubs foul ball, discover what eventually happened to the baseball and learn that people detonated the thing before incorporating its essence into pasta sauce.Sports are healthy. Then there's Skate Laborious. Three years after the fire, organizers are fighting to preserve the remaining church structure and transform it into an open-air skate park. Naturally, our contribution to the discussion is deciding this sounds like an '80s movie where a group of lovable misfits has to save the rec center from The Man.Cue the rollerblades. That somehow leads to Rad, Gleaming the Cube, BMX dancing, Lori Loughlin, Christian Slater and the realization that the '80s could turn literally any recreational activity into a feature film.Rizz is also heading toward Arkansas and preparing for another major milestone: his first trip to Buc-ee's. This launches the important Buc-ee's vs. Wally's debate, recommendations involving Beaver Nuggets and brisket, and a surprisingly heated discussion about whether you can leave your vehicle sitting at a gas pump while wandering around a convenience store the size of Rhode Island.Meanwhile, the Gathering of the Juggalos is happening in Missouri, which brings us one of the least surprising headlines in human history: a massive drug bust involving a gentleman known as Blunt Man.Yes. Blunt Man.A man allegedly associated with a “One Stop Shop” supplying the festival had even received a promotional shout-out from Violent J. Somehow subtlety did not prevail. The ensuing discussion includes an enormous list of seized drugs, plans for a possible Rizz Show expedition to the Gathering and the very sensible conclusion that nobody should attempt this without a qualified Juggalo Sherpa. From there, this funny show tackles another subject where everyone believes they're correct: speeding. How far over the limit is acceptable? Is ten over basically the unofficial speed limit? Why do tiny towns suddenly drop from highway speeds to 35 mph directly in front of what appears to be their entire police department? Lern admits that aggressive drivers can activate her own personal highway-vigilante mode, while everyone shares speeding-ticket stories and their individual theories about what cops will actually tolerate. It's sports, St. Louis stories, weird news, nostalgia, road rage and several conversations that should have ended much sooner than they did. In other words, exactly what you came for from a funny show that continues proving nobody should give us this much microphone time.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The 1980's were RAD but also kind of F'd up. We talk about 10 things from the 80's that made you say "What The F**K"
Otevřeně mluví i o fungování ministerstva obrany.

It is 386 BCE (maybe?) in Ancient Rome and once more Livy is providing our underlying narrative for events. The timeline is pretty confusing in this decade. All Hail Camillus! Whilst the tribune of the plebs were still agitating for control of the Pomptine territory, there was remarkable harmony between the patricians who were appointed as military tribunes with consular power. Camillus had been voted into power, and the rest of his colleagues decided to fall in line and follow his lead, especially once it became clear that war was on the horizon. The Romans would have liked to teach their former allies, the Latins and Hernici, a lesson. The Etruscans also seemed to be up to something. However, it would end up being the Volscians who attracted Rome's attention. According to some “fugitives” who showed up in Rome, problems were arising in Antium, a very important Volscian coastal town. It was time for Camillus to get down to business. The Romans were not ignoring warnings any more after everything that had happened with the Gauls! Lesson learned. All Systems Are Go Camillus went into war preparation mode, organising three forces under his fellow military tribunes. One section of the army would serve under Camillus himself and his sidekick Valerius, one would keep a lookout for any attacks from the Etruscans, and the final section, made up of the men who were too old or decrepit to serve anywhere else, would guard the city itself. The Senate and the Roman people were filled with positivity, not only because Camillus was an angel sent from heaven, but because of this amazing display of teamwork. Why can't elite dudes always be this selfless? With that sorted, Camillus and Valerius were off to Satricum, where some of the troublemakers from Antium were gathering up some Volscian forces and also a large number of ‘volunteers' from the Latins and Hernici. Ouch! The Romans were devastated to see that their former allies would do them dirty like that! Throwing the Standard Camillus knew these sad sacks in front of him were not going to be able to secure victory - not unless they had one of the best pep talks in HISTORY! Jumping on his horse, Camillus delivered immortal words: “Everything is awesome, everything is cool when you're part of this team!” But he could not stop with mere words. Actions are what count. Camillus ended his speech by leading the charge himself, either dragging the nearest standard-bearer with him into the fray or throwing the standard into the enemy forces. Baller move, Camillus! Well, the Romans could not allow the standards to fall into Volscian hands. Suitably inspired, a furious battle ensued. Even with passion on their side, the Romans were still vastly outnumbered. Would they secure another triumph for Camillus? And would he then be able to finally turn his attention to the root of the problem, Antium? Join us to learn all about Camillus' history, and a bit about Rome too. Things to Look Out For: Sad, sensitive little Roman soldiers A remarkably easy siege Betrayal upon betrayal!Dr G's jet lag - she's a trooper! Alicia Graf Mack is only the fourth ever director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. It's a company with a huge significance for dance history – and especially for Black America. Alicia danced with them from 2005-14, and was mentored by Ailey's own star dancer, Judith Jamison. Previously a principal ballerina at Dance Theatre of Harlem, more recently she was Dean & Director of Dance at Juilliard School. She is one RAD woman. A term from our collective youth, Mel Wilson is the personification of being rad. Being rad is radical - cool, awesome, great. Yes, she is all those things and more. Mel imparted some serious wisdom during our conversation, like: there's power in owning your thoughts and they are something no one can ever take away from you. And, our worth is not tied to our results so own your worth. Those are just the beginning. I left the conversation feeling full, satisfied and with a deep sense of admiration for all Mel had to say. She is definitely unapologetic for who she is. Yes, more of that please for all of us.Mel is our guest this week in our series What's with All the Coaches and Why you Might Want One. What's up, dudes? It's the greatest store ever to an ‘80s kid! Yes, it's Toys “R” Us, the category killer! Today we're talking the Toys “R” Us Christmas Dream Book 1986!Toys “R” Us goes all the way back to 1948, when Charles Lazarus opened a little Washington, D.C. shop called Children's Bargain Town, selling baby furniture. Eventually he pivoted from cribs and strollers to playthings. In 1957, Lazarus opened the first store under the Toys “R” Us name, built like a supermarket for toys—long aisles, stacked shelves, self-service shopping, and wall-to-wall kids' stuff. This book provides a huge variety of toys. From ThunderCats to Cabbage Patch Kids, there's something for everyone. The Milton Bradley games provided hours of fun, and Cats Lair gave the ThunderCats a base and place of respite in between fighting mutants and berserkers. Of course, Robotech 3 3/4in figures were great to incorporate on your Joe team!Electronic Battleship? Check. Lazer Tag? Rad! The Hart Family? Only if it's a surprise party playset! So grab your ThunderCats figures, throw them in your Sling ‘Em Fling ‘Em Wrestling Ring, and circle your favorites in this Toys “R” Us Christmas Dream Book 1986!Give us a buzz!

It's not a beer, it's not a wine, it's not a cocktail – it's a podcast episode! On this episode of That's Rad, a podcast presented by the Littleton Food Co-op, Auspicious Brew co-founder Helen Leavitt joins the chat to talk about kombucha, community, and the intersections between them. While Helen is no stranger to fermentation, New Hampshire is still getting to know kombucha, making Auspicious Brew the first licensed kombucha brewery for the state. Along the way, Auspicious Brew's headquarters in Dover, NH has come to be a community hub, particularly for those defining themselves outside the lines, thus mirroring the same ineffable, category-breaking drink they sip there. Helen and host Anastasia discuss if there was intentionality behind this decision, how no trip to the brewery yields the same results, and the auspicious future that lies ahead for the business.
