Goodwood Revival Meeting 7th - 9th September 2018

A MAGICAL STEP BACK IN TIME The Goodwood Revival really is a magical step back in time, a unique chance to revel in the glamour and allure of motor racing in the romantic time capsule of the world’s most authentic motor circuit. Leave the ‘Modern World’ Behind The Revival is the world’s most popular historic motor race meeting and the only event of its kind to be staged entirely in the nostalgic time capsule of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. It is the biggest and best historic motor racing party of the year. The Revival offers visitors the opportunity to leave the ‘modern world’ behind and join motor sport luminaries including Sir Stirling Moss, Richard Attwood, John Surtees and Derek Bell in an unabashed celebration of flat-out, wheel-to-wheel racing around a classic racetrack, untouched by the modern world. Revival First-timers to Compete in Half-century Racers at the Sell-out 2013 Goodwood Revival Two famous names from the world of competitive cycling and motor racing will be taking to the Goodwood track in anger for the very first time at this year’s sell-out Revival (13-15 September) in two cars marking a combined century of motor sport. Celebrated cycling champion and Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy will be taking to the wheel of a Mini Cooper S for his inaugural race at Goodwood in the popular and hard-fought St Mary’s Trophy race for saloon cars. Challenging him for the chequered flag will be ex-Formula 1 driver and TV pundit Mark Blundell, who will also be competing at Goodwood for the first time, in a Lotus Cortina. Both the Mini Cooper S and Ford Lotus Cortina share their 50th anniversaries this year, so it seems only fitting that these two popular and fast-paced British saloon cars will be raced by two very rapid British racers, even if they are both new to the Goodwood Revival!
