"God chooses the ordinary in order to accomplish the extraordinary to the praise of his glory." Pastor Dave Bertolini
Sermon Audio from December 14, 2025 (Third Sunday in Advent) on Matthew 11:2-15
From the preaching of a sermon to the teaching of Sunday school, Coro is blessed to have many individuals capable of teaching and preaching among us. They each have the ability to speak God's word and guide others in maturity and wisdom. Wouldn't it be wonderful if even more people became teachers and preachers both within and outside of Coro? I think it would be... but before we start tapping shoulders and filling rosters, James gives us a warning. While teaching is a noble role, it is not to be given to just anyone. Instead, it should be reserved for those whose speech reflects a heart transformed into Christlikeness, evident in their self-control and consistency. For teachers of the word are judged more strictly than others because, by their words, they wield great power—capable of both building up and destroying the lives of those who listen. Let us take James' instructions to heart and be wary of those whom we listen to and place in positions of power in our lives. Not just those at Coro, but those we give ear to on YouTube, SermonAudio, podcasts and more.

Discover the remarkable journey of how SermonAudio began with a young boy in the 1980s who fell asleep each night listening to cassette tapes of preaching—a simple beginning that would, by God's providence, grow into a global platform reaching millions. This film captures the vision, challenges, and moments of faith that shaped the mission: the preservation and propagation of preaching. Along the way came many trials and turning points, closed doors that became new directions, cyberattacks that threatened to undo the work, and seasons of deep discouragement met by unmistakable provision. From unexpected gifts that made The Vault possible to the surprising arrival of advanced hardware and expertise at just the right time, the story is filled with evidence of divine help at every step. This is not the story of a website but of a work far greater. The story is a testimony to the faithfulness of God who has ensured that the voice of preaching will not be silenced, and that its witness will reach the nations until the end of the age. We have officially launched Global Sermons with 46 languages—an entirely new service for our broadcasters on SermonAudio that facilitates translating sermons from any language into any other language using the latest in Artificial Intelligence technology. In this video, we take a very high-level overview of how Global Sermons works and the kind of safeguards we have implemented to achieve the highest levels of quality control in translation. The real beauty of Global Sermons is that translations can go from any language to any language. So that a sermon preached in Spanish could be enjoyed by a man in China, or a sermon preached in Telugu could be enjoyed by a man in France. It's an incredible time to be alive. This week in our Advent series Between Two Advents, we turn to Isaiah 11 and the sharp words of John the Baptist. Scripture shows us a world cut down like a stump and a people tempted to trust in false security. But Jesus calls us back to Himself, the true Branch who gives life. As we stay connected to Him, He produces fruit in us and fills us with the hope of the peaceable Kingdom He will bring in full at His return. Join us as we explore what it means to remain in Christ while we wait for His coming. Isaiah 11:1–10 Romans 15:4–13 Matthew 3:1–12

This week we begin our Advent series, Between Two Worlds, by stepping into Paul's words from 1 Corinthians 1:1–9. Advent is a season of waiting for Jesus' arrival. We look back to His birth in Bethlehem and look ahead to His final return. But Paul reminds us we don't wait empty-handed. God has already poured out every gift we need in Jesus. He sustains us. He equips us. And He sends us into the world to reflect His light. Join us as we explore what it means to wait with purpose and to use the gifts God has placed in each of us for the good of His Kingdom. Isaiah 2:1–5 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 Matthew 21:1–11
