With Grand Theft Auto VI finally launching this November, we've been left without a key piece of information: Its price. Conjecture and prognostication has run rampant, but now we have confirmation that GTA6's base cost is $80 in the United States, with a $100 version offering players some perks and unlocks. With our long-awaited trip down to Leonida drawing closer on the horizon, we've much to discuss, including our hype level, whether we'll buy the base or special edition, the lack of a real physical version, and -- perhaps most intriguingly -- no new trailer or gameplay videos to help sell a product that (let's be honest) probably doesn't need much help to begin with. Other news this week includes significant layoffs at Sony-owned Bungie, indications that God of War: Laufey may launch as early as Q1 2027, more delisted shovelware tripe removed from PlayStation Store, executive-level issues at FromSoft, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What's with Steam Machine's absurd price? Should Sony look to invest in any of Xbox's distressed assets? Why did PlayStation even bother publishing Midnight Murder Club if they were only going to ignore it? Will Chris and Colin one day have their shared ex-psychiatrist on the show to discuss our many mental ailments? Send us Fan MailBrandon Holtz won the 2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Troon Country Club in Arizona last September. Along with lifting the Robert T. Jones Jr. Trophy, that victory also earned Holtz the opportunity to compete at The Masters and The US Open in 2026. Like the Amateur champions before him, Brandon was a division 1 student-athlete, just not in golf. The Bloomington, IL native played college basketball at Illinois State University on a Redbird squad that posted multiple 20+ win seasons and nearly punched their ticket to the big dance. What makes Brandon's story even more compelling is he graduated from ISU in 2009. How did a 39 year old former college basketball player make it to The Masters and U.S. Open? Click play to find out.
Ken and Lima react to Vincent Goodwill's controversial claim that the Larry O'Brien Trophy has become a participation trophy due to lack of dynasties. Ken Carman and Anthony Lima rip into ESPN's Vincent Goodwill for calling the NBA championship a "participation trophy" given how many different teams have won it lately, with Carman calling the comment asinine and pushing back hard on the idea that parity cheapens a title. The two dig into why the NBA gets treated so differently than football and baseball when it comes to judging stars who haven't won it all, name-checking Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Victor Wembanyama along the way. They also touch on the Cavs' surprising place in the championship conversation despite the recent fan pessimism. Then the conversation pivots hard into the Guardians' rough start to a crucial stretch, with the offense suddenly without two of its top power sources.

What are you giving your life to—and will it still matter years from now? This week on The Breakdown Podcast, Matthew Rhoads sat down with Pastor James to break down the message "The Trophy Lied To You," rooted in John 13, John 13:34–35, and 1 John 4:10–11, 19. Their conversation explores the pursuit of success, recognition, and achievement, and why so many of the things people spend their lives chasing fail to deliver lasting significance. Looking at Jesus washing His disciples' feet, they discuss how love is more than an emotion—it is a decision to move toward people. They also unpack what it means to live for something that outlasts accomplishments, awards, and personal success. If you've ever wondered whether you're investing your life in what truly matters, this conversation will challenge you to rethink success and embrace the kind of love Jesus modeled. Ken and Lima debate whether celebrities like Timothy Chalamet and Ben Stiller belong in the Knicks' championship locker room, with Ken drawing a hard line about never touching a trophy he didn't earn. The bit spirals into Ken refusing to go near the Lombardi Trophy before a Browns Super Bowl, partly out of superstition after Lima keeps blaming Ken's son for jinxing Jose Ramirez with a pregame photo. The guys keep the joke alive while making clear the jinx bit isn't landing the way Lima hoped.
Why does Ben Stiller need top hold The Larry? Why is Timothee Chalamet celebrating with the Knicks in the locker room?

Coach Redman is deeply thankful for the tremendous local support for the city's upstart team, and he's already making plans to chase a second title for the Kings. There'll be a Louisville celebration for the Louisville Kings soon. Listen for details.
Remember that trophy in that one box in the attic? What was it for? Do you remember? In "The Trophy Lied To You," Pastor James encourages us to consider not giving our lives to things that someone will one day say, "What was this all about?" We want our lives to count, to ache for something more, and Jesus demonstrates in John 13 that love is the decision to move towards people, not merely an emotion. Host Brent Wheat is joined by Suzi Huntington to discuss her incredibly successful bear hunt in Northern Alberta. After tagging out on two massive bears in just two hours using a Ruger American .308, Susie returned home to a wave of online backlash from old friends and keyboard warriors. We dive into the science of spring bear meat (and why even coyotes won't eat it), the reality of conservation funding, and why you need to stop putting off your bucket-list adventures. Key Takeaways: ● Spring bear meat is poor quality because the animals have been living off fat reserves during hibernation and carry a high risk of trichinosis. ● Hunters and anglers fund the vast majority of state and provincial wildlife conservation, not animal rights activists. ● Stop waiting for the 'perfect time' to take your dream adventure; life is short and tomorrow is never guaranteed. --- Have a topic idea or a guest you'd like to see in a future episode? Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, and Peter Crouch between them have won Champions League titles, Premier League medals, over 200 England caps. And yet not one of them ever lifted a major trophy for their country. In this roundtable, three men who were inside the 'Golden Generation' dressing room finally say what went wrong. The media that made players scared to perform. The manager who wouldn't listen. The moment the England coach was asking Beckham for a signed shirt. And why, for most of them, playing for England never felt free. But this isn't just a post-mortem. It's highlights what culture, leadership, and environment actually do to elite performers — and why getting those things wrong can waste a golden generation of talent. Thanks to our partners on this episode:Postcode Lottery
The Cleveland Guardians take on the New York Yankees this week in what could be a potential postseason matchup. The two franchises have a storied history of meeting in the playoffs and producing memorable games. However, this week's series feels like it could be more important to one side than the other when it comes to potentially raising the Commissioner's Trophy at the end of the season. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jordan Shusterman is joined by special guest Zack Meisel of The Athletic to discuss whether the Guardians are a serious threat to the Yankees' pursuit of their 28th championship in franchise history. Led by a potential future Hall of Famer in José Ramírez and promising rookie Travis Bazzana, is Cleveland ready to power past every other team in the postseason? They also discuss what a potential injury to Aaron Judge could mean for the long-term outlook of the Bronx Bombers. Later, Jordan welcomes Yahoo Sports reporter Cassandra Negley to preview the Women's College World Series, including who might be the favorite between Texas Tech and Texas as they face off in a rematch of last year's classic. Jordan and Zack then take an early look at what the MLB trade deadline could look like for some American League teams and why a potential lockout next year could affect how teams conduct business. 0:59 – José Ramírez keeps losing his helmet 8:56 – The Opener: Guardians a threat to Yankees 29:16 – Kind of a Big Deal: Aaron Judge is hurt 34:14 – Women's College World Series preview 54:58 – WCWS predictions 1:00:42 – Around the League: Trade deadline preview Subscribe to Baseball Bar-B-Cast on your favorite podcast app:

There was no team with higher expectations entering 2025-26 than the Colorado Avalanche. However, by late May, no club had suffered greater disappointment. The Presidents' Trophy winners wired the field from the outset of the regular season but, after disposing the Kings and Wild in just nine games to start the playoffs, the Avalanche crashed in getting swept in the Western Final by the Vegas Golden Knights.Despite being the oldest team in the NHL, the Avs should remain formidable for the immediate future. However, with no picks until the fourth round of the Draft and other high picks having been dealt away to win now, Joe Sakic has work different from any other GM to keep the team among the NHL's elite.X: https://twitter.com/NHLWraparoundNeil Smith: https://twitter.com/NYCNeilVic Morren: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vic-morren-7038737/NHL Wraparound Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nhlwraparound/#NHLWraparound #NHLWraparound.com #ShortShifts #NYCentric #CelebritySeries #HallofFameEdition #StanleyCupdate #SummerCoolers #Smith'sPix #NeilSmith #VicMorren #BZZR #NHL #SummerCoolers #ColoradoAvalanche #CarolinaHurricanes #LosAngelesKings #MinnesotaWild #VegasGoldenKnights ##QuebecNordiques #NewYorkIslanders #St.LouisBlues #SanJoseSharks #WashingtonCapitals #OttawaSenators #ChicagoBlackhawks #NewYorkRangers #PittsburghPenguins #Presidents'Trophy #JaredBednar #ChrisMacFarland #NathanMacKinnon #CaleMakar #ScottWedgewood #BrandonDuhaime #MackenzieBlackwood #MartinNecas #BrockNelson #MatsZuccarello #GabrielLandeskog #NazemKadri #DevonToews #PatrickRoy #MartinBrodeur #DarcyKuemper #AdinHill #BraydenSchenn #AlexandarGeorgiev #KevinMandolese #JackDrury #MikkoRantanen #TaylorHall #JoelKiviranta #BrentBurns #BrettKulak #JackAchan #NickBlankenberg #ZakarBardakov #HartTrophy #NorrisTrophy
Musa and Ryan begin with a quick mention of Arne Slot's Liverpool departure, which will take the focus on Thursday's show before getting onto the men's Champions League final (04:04), which saw PSG retain the trophy after their penalty shootout win in Budapest. There's chat about Arsenal's impressive start, how PSG struggled to create too many clear looks and the narrow margins that played out for the rest of the two hours of normal and extra-time. There's a load of praise for Luis Enrique, plus multiple players on both teams.Ryan was one of the many hundreds of thousands at the parade in London on Sunday, so there's a bit on that (38:20), how it was exactly what Arsenal needed following the disappointment of Saturday's result and the joy that was on show. Finally, there's a shoutout for Manchester City's women doing the domestic double (48:53), José Mourinho returning to Real Madrid and James Milner retiring.Check out Musa's interview with Zohran Mamdani for GQ here. Tickets for our July live show, with Nish Kumar at the Southbank Centre, are available here. Also, make sure you check out Kickback, who are currently doing country by country previews on their First Touch ‘26 Country Pods. Musa was on a recent one, chatting about DR Congo, so go check it here or wherever you get your podcasts and he and Ryan will be on an episode this week. For more podcasts, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, you can become a Stadio member by signing up at patreon.com/stadio. With the Final between the Hurricanes and Golden Knights set to kick off Tuesday, who better to join Neil and Vic than a current NHL head coach who has seen both teams up close.Jim Montgomery, current coach with the St. Louis Blues, has gotten familiar with Vegas over the past two seasons in the Western Conference. Before that, he saw what the Hurricanes were about while leading Boston. We'll talk about the Final but also discuss the heaviness of what the Presidents' Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche are experiencing having himself fall short with his record-setting Bruins in 2022-23.The conversation wraps with what's ahead for his Blues heading into 2026-27 with a new GM and captain joining Monty on the leadership team.IN THIS EPISODE:[01:50] - Blues head coach Jim Montgomery is welcomed to the show and offers his take on the Bruce Cassidy situation, the latter still waiting to be freed up from his contract with Vegas.[03:43] - Montgomery weighs in on his thoughts about the 2026 playoffs.[05:33] - While Jim has seen changes in play trends during this year's playoffs, one trend staying intact is the struggle of Presidents' Trophy winners making the Final since 2013 - something Montgomery can relate to with Colorado Avalanche.[07:06] - Having seen both the Hurricanes and Golden Knights from behind the bench this season, Monty shares what characteristics these teams provide headaches for opposition head coaches.[09:20] - The goaltending in the Final. A veteran who has finally broken through after years of later-round struggles against a first-timer to the post-season.[11:15] - Carolina's line of Jackson Blake, Logan Stankoven and Taylor Hall has emerged as the 'Canes top line of the post-season.[12:35] - Given the coaching skill on both sides, adjustments are always key when things go amiss. Montgomery sees neither Rod Brind'Amour or John Tortorella having any problem going with the flow.[13:33] - Some Blues talk with a new GM and a potential new captain for 2026-27.[15:15] - After so much prior success yet missing the playoffs in 2026, might the approach to training camp differ from years past?[17:05] - Some comments on two players - Colton Parayko and Alexandre Texier. One decided against a trade to a contender while the other couldn't cut it in St. Louis but has managed to do so in Montreal.[23:58] - World Championship update and great news for the Florida Panthers courtesy of Champion Team Finland.[25:27] - A champion was also crowned at the Memorial Cup where a legendary franchise authored an historic run.X: https://twitter.com/NHLWraparoundNeil Smith: https://twitter.com/NYCNeilVic Morren: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vic-morren-7038737/NHL Wraparound Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nhlwraparound/#NHLWraparound #NHLWraparound.com #ShortShifts #NYCentric #CelebritySeries #HallofFameEdition #StanleyCupdate #SummerCoolers #Smith'sPix #NeilSmith #VicMorren #NHL #SummerCoolers #AnaheimDucks # #BostonBruins #BuffaloSabres #CalgaryFlames #CarolinaHurricanes #ChicagoBlackhawks #ColoradoAvalanche #ColumbusBlueJackets #DallasStars #DetroitRedWings #EdmontonOilers #FloridaPanthers #LosAngelesKings #MinnesotaWild #MontrealCanadiens #NashvillePredators #NewJerseyDevils #NewYorkIslanders #NewYorkRangers #OttawaSenators #PhiladelphiaFlyers #PittsburghPenguins #StLouisBlues #SanJoseSharks #SeattleKraken #TampaBayLightning #TorontoMapleLeafs #UtahMammoth #VancouverCanucks #VegasGoldenKnights #WashingtonCapitals #WinnipegJets #JimMontgomery #RodBrind'Amour #JohnTortorella #BruceCassidy #OskarSundqvist #AlexSteen #IvanBarbashev #JaredBednar #JohnStevens #CraigButton #TSN #FrederikAndersen #CarterHart #JacksonBlake #LoganStankoven #TaylorHall #SethJarvis #SebastianAho #AndreiSvechnikov #DougArmstrong #BraydenSchenn #ColtonParayko #AnexandreTexier #JakeDeBrusk #LouieDeBrusk #MarkMessier #WorldChampionships #KonstaHelenius #JustusAnnunen #AleksanderBarkov #BillZito #MemorialCup #KitchenerRangers #EverettSilvertips #CHL #OHL #WHL #SamO'Reilly #JussiAhokas #GuelphMadHatters #EugeneGeorge #JackPridham

Dan and Shawn are joined by NHL.com columnist Nick Cotsonika for his perspective on the postseason dominance by the Vegas Golden Knights, as Vegas stuns the NHL with a sweep of Presidents' Trophy winner Colorado to reach their third Stanley Cup Final in the franchise's nine-year history, and the influence of VGK's late-season hiring of head coach John Tortorella on the team's current run. The guys open the show with reaction to Wednesday's dominant 4-0 win by the Carolina Hurricanes, as the Canes take a 3-1 lead on the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference Final, and wrap the show with discussion about Colorado's future after their postseason exit.

Join Matt, Tricky, Alex and Yield as they discuss, among other things, Saros, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Gothic 1 Remake, and Pragmata. Can you say, “Wolverine”? Adamantium! And if you think that’s all, then you’ve got another thing coming! We hit the high notes, and we hit the low notes, but we’ll always bring the banter. What are you waiting for? Dive in! As always, the opinions fly fast and heavy! Look out for this super-sized show, as the seemingly smallest conversation veers off into a multiverse of chit-chat. Sounds cool, huh? That’s the fancy way of saying “derailment.” And there’s plenty of that to go around! Let’s dance, Heroes of the XMB!
