Arsenal's season raises an uncomfortable question: can you chase everything without losing something? In Episode 154, the lads debate whether Arsenal should sacrifice a competition to protect the Premier League title push, following the Carabao Cup semi-final draw and growing concerns around injuries and squad load. Is trophy greed a strength — or a trap? There's a deep discussion around priorities, risk management, and Arteta's approach to rotation as Arsenal juggle four competitions with a big squad and notable injury list. The panel disagrees sharply on whether letting one trophy go is pragmatic — or a mindset Arsenal can't afford. We also dig into Arsenal's baffling obsession with long throws: why they slow the game down, increase injury risk, and feel completely at odds with how this team should control matches. Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/855B Duane Hada joins Chad Johnson for a thoughtful conversation on what actually creates trophy trout fisheries—and why stocking alone isn't the answer. Duane breaks down the importance of catch-and-release regulations, managing pressure, and letting fish live long enough to reach their full potential. Drawing from rivers like the White River and the San Juan, he explains how conservation-first thinking shapes not only fish size, but the long-term health of entire fisheries. Beyond fishing, Duane opens up about his life as an artist and how creativity, patience, and observation carry over from the studio to the river. He talks about seeing fisheries as living "gardens," the influence of Dave Whitlock on both his conservation mindset and artistic outlook, and why mentorship—on the water and off—matters just as much as catching fish. This episode is about legacy, restraint, and approaching both art and angling with intention. Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/855B

With a lull between Ohio State games, we look at all the various trophies and awards Buckeye players piled up with their performances throughout the 2025 season. We dive into the various All-Big Ten teams as well. Who was deserving? Who got snubbed? How the hell did Julian Sayin end up fourth on the Heisman list with numbers comparable to or better than the winner (even in the head-to-head meeting)? And furthermore, how did a receiver win the Biletnikoff Award without even winning the award for being the best receiver in his conference? That's another snub for Jeremiah Smith (and an egregious one — I didn't see Makai Lemon's name in the top 10 in Heisman Trophy voting). Following our walk through the postseason awards, we turned our attention to the coaching carousel. Former Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles only worked at Penn State for one season and is now headed to Tennessee. It's a bit ironic that his last outing before being hired by Tennessee was to give up 500+ yards to Greg Schiano's Rutgers Scarlet Knights. After all, Schiano was supposed to become the Vols' head coach until the fanbase pushed back hard against the choice.Mike Jacobs, who played for Ohio State on the offensive line in the late 1990s and early 2000s is the new head coach at Toledo. I can honestly say I don't remember him as a Buckeye, but now he's back in the Buckeye State and has a solid job in the MAC.Finally, we discussed the bizarre case of Sherrone Moore and the ongoing issues at Michigan. While Moore's wife and kids never asked to be put in this position, here they are. It may not be fair to them, but it will probably be some time before this matter is put to rest. The University of Michigan is investigating its athletic department's response to previous school scandals, and there doesn't seem to be a way for Warde Manuel to keep his job (nor should there be). We discuss the matter without getting into the salacious details or diving into reports and speculation, and perhaps the best plan forward for Ohio State's rival is to cut all ties with the Jim Harbaugh era and start fresh. We're taking next week off, but we'll be back on Dec. 30 to preview Ohio State's next opponent in the College Football Playoff. We'll be watching the Miami-Texas A&M game with great interest. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email at silverbulletspod@gmail.com. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod.As always, thanks for listening!0:20 - Some Buckeyes won some awards, but some of those Buckeyes didn't win some of the awards that they should have. Also, some Buckeyes may have been honored in ways that didn't quite make sense.20:26 - Knowles moves on to Rocky Top and Mike Jacobs returns home to northwest Ohio.28:05 - The Sherrone Moore saga is odd and fascinating and sad. Michigan needs a reset.

The policy was made in 2018 and the line is drawn at information gained. People are arguing that Ken allowing the spell to resolve is information gained. It isn't. Look at the boardstate and importantly look at Ken's decklist (which is open information). Ken has {U/G}{G.B} and Cavern. His decklist has Bitter Triumph (non-relevant spell to the situation) and Urgent Necropsy (which he can't cast). He already cycled his 1 copy of Webstrike Elite earlier. The funny thing is, this takeback is allowed because it is the World Championship. This is a rare time where decklists are open and public. So Seth Manfield knows Ken has no responses because he has seen the decklist. So Ken saying something resolves is not information gained. If you allow that it resolves as being information if the player has no potential plays, players are incentivized to say "it resolves" as fast as possible to close the takeback window. That makes the tournament environment much worse. The rules for takebacks are part of the tournament rules. The tournament rules are the same whether you are at a local FNM or the World Championship. If you want little timmy at FNM to have takebacks, you must allow the world champions to have some as well. Consistency is key especially when writing policy.
