GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! THRIVE in 2026 - Women's Event: https://www.youaremore.comHey friends — today's episode is one of those messages that I pray meets you right where you are. Whether this season feels joyful, overwhelming, heavy, or a mix of all three… I want to remind you of something powerful:You carry the ability to shift any atmosphere you walk into. Not because you're strong enough on your own — but because Christ in you, the hope of glory, lives inside you.In today's conversation, I share a story from my real estate world where a family was facing absolute impossibility — upside down on their home, job loss, a marriage in trouble… the whole thing felt hopeless. On the drive over, I kept thinking, “Lord, what am I even walking into? What am I supposed to say?”But right there in my car, God reminded me:“You carry the blessing. You carry the change agent. You carry My wisdom.”And from that moment on, everything shifted. Strategy flowed. Peace filled the room. And within days their situation completely turned around — not because I'm a miracle worker, but because God gives us supernatural downloads when we ask.In this episode, we talk about:✨ How to stop living like a “mere human” and tap into the supernatural ability inside you✨ Why your words, expectation, and anticipation literally activate the blessing✨ How God gives strategy, peace, and answers when we invite Him into the situation✨ What it looks like to sit quietly and release God into a specific problem✨ Why the holiday season can trigger pain — and how to draw on heaven's hope✨ How being the light in dark places gives others permission to shine too✨ The importance of community when the enemy wants to isolate youThis one is part teaching, part encouragement, part reminder of who you really are. As you head into Christmas and the new year, you don't walk in rooms alone — you walk in carrying the greater One.So listen in… and then go be the light.
It's Week 14 in the NFL, and for some teams, it definitely felt more “weak” than “week.” Ryan and Dustin brave snowy upstate New York to break down the best, worst, and most surprising moments from around the league, including Packers-Bears and Bengals-Bills as their top games. The guys dive deep into the biggest upsets, disappointments, and peak performers—including some love for running backs and defensive standouts—and debate what's gone wrong for the Eagles' offense. Plus, they update the Cut the Brakes Pick ‘Em Challenge, look ahead to key NFC South matchups, discuss jaw-dropping stats from the Jets' historically bad defense, and name their favorite athletes to ever wear the number 90. You can find writings by Matthew, and by Michael Gerson, at TTF.org. You can also find the full YouTube video of the evening there. Odds were presented as very unlikely for either Merab Dvalishvili or Alexandre Pantoja to leave UFC 323 without their world titles, but very, very few could've predicted both would lose their championships on Saturday night. After their sizable reigns came to an end after losses to Petr Yan and Joshua Van, will they both come back to immediate rematches? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss what's next for Yan and Dvalishvili after the eye-opening upset win for Yan to capture the bantamweight title for the second time. Additionally, they discuss where Van and Pantoja go after the unfortunate ending to their co-main event matchup where Van became the first UFC champ born in the 2000's, along with future matchups for fellow main card winners Tatsuro Taira following his stoppage win over Brandon Moreno, Payton Talbott after retiring Henry Cejudo, and more. Every year, Pennsylvanian collector Mike De Stefano hosts Sithmas, a weekend event that celebrates Star Wars and the holidays. The weekend kicks off with a Friday night meal, followed by Saturday's main event. The day is packed with festivities - from a White Bantha gift exchange to a special dinner together, to tours of Mike's three incredible Star Wars collection rooms. This year, approximately 80 Star Wars collectors from EIGHT regional clubs - Seattle, Ontario, New York, the Northeast, Pennsylvania, D.C/Virginia, Ohio and Indiana - will travel to the Lancaster area to celebrate Sithmas with Mike at his home. Top Stories for December 6th Publish Date: December 6th PRE-ROLL: SUGAR HILL ICE SKATING From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Saturday, December 6th and Happy Birthday to Peter Buck from REM I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by Gwinnett KIA Mall of Georgia. Gwinnett Chamber Foundation honors small business leaders at inaugural Power of Impact Gala Lawmakers seek Lottery money for need-based college scholarships Applications for Jackson EMC Washington Youth Tour now open All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: Kia Mall of Georgia STORY 1: Gwinnett Chamber Foundation honors small business leaders at inaugural Power of Impact Gala The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation held its first-ever Power of Impact Gala on Dec. 3 at Bear’s Best Suwanee, bringing together over 130 business leaders to celebrate small business growth and mentorship. Award winners included Dr. William “Bill” Russell (Legacy Business Leader), Alicia Cole of Lillies Boutique (Certification Cohort Member), and Berthine Crèvecoeur West of Westbridge Solutions (Accelerator Cohort Member). The event also celebrated the 2025 Small Business Impact Institute graduates, seven of whom earned supply-chain certifications. STORY 2: Lawmakers seek Lottery money for need-based college scholarships Georgia’s public colleges hit record enrollment this fall, with over 382,000 students, but a bipartisan Senate committee says too many are still being left behind. The HOPE Scholarship, funded by the state lottery, has helped over 2 million students since 1993, but it’s merit-based—requiring a 3.0 GPA—and doesn’t account for financial need. For low-income students juggling work and school, losing HOPE often means dropping out entirely. The committee is pushing for a $126 million need-based aid program, funded by the lottery’s $1.7 billion reserves. But not everyone’s on board. Critics argue need-based aid feels like “social welfare,” despite warnings of a growing “brain drain” as students leave Georgia for better financial aid elsewhere. Gov. Brian Kemp praised HOPE’s legacy this week, but advocates say Georgia must do more to keep talented students in-state. STORY 3: Applications for Jackson EMC Washington Youth Tour now open Jackson EMC is now accepting applications for the 2026 Washington Youth Tour—a once-in-a-lifetime, all-expenses-paid trip to D.C. from June 12-19. Four lucky high school sophomores or juniors from the Jackson EMC service area will be selected for this leadership experience. Who’s eligible? Students with strong grades, a passion for community service, and an interest in building connections. You can apply online at jacksonemc.com/wyt or be nominated by a teacher or counselor. Applications close Jan. 31, 2026. Finalists will interview on Feb. 16 with a panel of leaders. The trip includes visits to monuments, Smithsonian museums, Arlington Cemetery, and even a chance to meet Georgia’s congressional delegation. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets - DTL HOLIDAY STORY 4: Walmart launches drone delivery service in Georgia — including Loganville No, drones won’t be squeezing down your chimney, but if you live near one of six Walmart Supercenters around Atlanta, they might just drop a package on your lawn in time for Christmas. Walmart, teaming up with Wing, announced Wednesday that drone deliveries are now a thing in metro Atlanta—just in time for last-minute shoppers. Need wrapping paper? Holiday meal ingredients? A stocking stuffer you forgot? These 12-pound drones, zipping along at 60 mph, can deliver in five minutes if you’re within six miles. For now, Georgia’s drone-enabled Walmarts are in Conyers, Dallas, Hiram, Loganville, McDonough, and Woodstock. And while this is Atlanta’s first legal drone delivery service, drones have already been making, uh, less festive deliveries—state officials recently flagged them as a growing problem for smuggling contraband into prisons. Still, for holiday procrastinators, this tech could be a game-changer. Fewer delivery trucks on the road? That’s a win for everyone. STORY 5: ‘TIS THE SEASON: Your 2025 Guide To Tree Lightings And Holiday Celebrations In And Around Gwinnett County The holidays are in full swing, and there’s no shortage of festive fun around Gwinnett County. Here’s a quick rundown: **Suwanee’s Jolly Holly Days** (Dec. 8–9): Two days of crafts, live music, a pet parade, and Santa’s grand arrival. **Lilburn Holiday Parade** (Dec. 9): Floats, bands, and Christmas characters galore. **Duluth’s Deck the Hall** (Dec. 9): Snow slides, crafts, and Santa pics. For more, check city websites! Break 3: GCPS HIRING STORY 6: Dr. Carla Price joins Northeast Georgia Physicians Group in Dacula For over 20 years, Dr. Carla Price has been a familiar face in northeast Georgia, caring for families and building relationships that last. Now, she’s bringing her expertise—and her heart—to Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Hamilton Mill. Her journey started on a farm in Fairmont, West Virginia, where she helped her grandfather care for sick cows. That early love of healing led her to West Virginia University for med school, then Savannah for residency, and eventually to Winder in 2002. Now, when she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her on her 8-acre horse farm in Jefferson, raising chickens, riding horses, or tending to her bees. She’s also a beach lover, often escaping with her fiancé and three daughters. NGPG Hamilton Mill, located at 3575 Braselton Highway in Dacula, is open seven days a week. Call 770-848-5300 or visit ngpg.org/price to book an appointment. STORY 7: Rainbow Village marks 12th year as Subaru of Gwinnett's hometown charity Rainbow Village, a Duluth nonprofit helping families overcome homelessness, has once again been named Subaru of Gwinnett’s Hometown Charity for the 2025 Subaru Share the Love® Event. This marks 12 years of partnership, with donations from car sales and service appointments supporting Rainbow Village’s mission of “Help, Hope, Housing, and Healing.” For a nonprofit that relies on private funding for 90% of its budget, relationships like this are a lifeline. Last year’s event raised $51,475. This year? They’re aiming even higher. We’ll have closing comments after this Break 4: THE SUGAR HILL HOLIDAY Signoff – Thanks again for hanging out with us on today’s Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. What's the secret to making a great event come together? Today I'm chatting with my friend and event co-host Anita Guerini. Together, we hosted The Pink Skirt Project event in 2025 with over 300 women in attendance. It was a magnetic experience that changed lives, and we can't wait to do it again. In this conversation, we're sharing how we shattered the blueprint for running an event like this for the first time, and how we're going even bigger and bolder next year. In this episode, you will learn about: Why we decided to go big with our first event, and how it paid off. What actually made our event a sold-out success. Why I hid my true self for so long in business (and the moment that liberated me). How opening up a safe space for vulnerability creates major impact. The detailed planning process behind putting a first-time event together. What the energy of the room was like that morning and what it meant to me. The secret sauce The Pink Skirt Project brings and how it can influence your circle. Why we love out-of-the-box marketing tactics and how we embrace it. Guest: Saman Samii and Mitch Slater from UBS Wealth Management. Saman and Mitch have guided founders through countless liquidity events and helped them navigate one of the most emotionally charged transitions in business: from business owner to living off the proceeds after your BIG exit. Overview: Sometimes in the life of an entrepreneur, Making BIG Happen is the easy part. Years of meticulous planning and exceptional leadership bring their company to a successful sale. But then they realize that they haven't put the same level of preparation into what happens after the transaction closes and the money hits their account. On today's show, Saman Samii and Mitch Slater discuss how to prepare yourself emotionally, financially, and structurally for the BIG moment when most of your net worth suddenly becomes liquid.
A Year in Review episode on the first of the month, AND it's a Victory Monday? Andy and Brendan are in high spirits following the holiday weekend and are joined by KVV and PJ for the third installment of the 2025 Year in Review. For those unaware, the date is December 1 and the Chicago Bears are atop the NFC standings. Andy can't believe what he's seeing and is still rolling following a big Black Friday win over the defending Super Bowl champions. The crew discusses David Puig's win at the Australian PGA and some other assorted notes from the first of two weeks down under for the DP World Tour before moving on to the Year in Review. KVV gets called in from the bullpen to handle the WM Phoenix Open to kick things off. He regales his audience with tales of Andy selling off property on "Just a Guyland" before Spieth popped at TPC Scottsdale and dives into LIV's 2025 kickoff in Riyadh. Brendan then takes the baton and looks back on a "muted" Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines. This event moved from Riviera due to the LA fires and was the week after Tiger's mom passed away, leading to a more subdued event than usual. Andy brightens the mood by unpacking the TGL Presidents' Day marathon and what was perhaps the true "Event of the Year," the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld. Everyone takes a great amount of joy as the pillow fight of a playoff between Brian Campbell and Aldrich Potgieter is pored over in great detail. Lastly, PJ closes out this episode with some more TGL memories, including the league's first-ever one day signing and Brendan's second trip to the SoFi Dome. Jake Knapp's big week at the Cognizant Classic is also discussed, but the true news of the week came in the form of letters to Sam Saunders regarding exemptions into the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. We will put the Year in Review on pause for a few shows as pro golf heads to one of the world's finest courses for the Australian Open and PGA Tour stars will tee it up at the Hero World Challenge this week.

Hosts: Ellen Duncan, MD, PhD Noumi Chowdhury, MD https://media.blubrry.com/coreem/content.blubrry.com/coreem/BRUE.mp3 Download Leave a Comment Tags: Pediatrics Show Notes What is a BRUE? BRUE stands for Brief Resolved Unexplained Event. It typically affects infants 60 days old Gestational Age: GA > 32 weeks (and Post-Conceptional Age > 45 weeks) Frequency: This is the first episode Duration: Lasted < 1 minute Intervention: No CPR performed by a trained professional Clinical Picture: Reassuring history and physical exam Management for Low Risk: Generally do not require extensive testing or admission. Prioritize safety education/anticipatory guidance. Ensure strict return precautions and close outpatient follow-up (within 24 hours). High Risk Criteria Any infant not meeting the low-risk criteria is automatically High Risk. Additional red flags include: Suspicion of child abuse History of toxin exposure Family history of sudden cardiac death Abnormal physical exam findings (trauma, neuro deficits) Management for High Risk: Requires a more thorough evaluation. Often requires hospital admission. Note: Serious underlying conditions are identified in approx. 4% of high-risk infants. Differential Diagnosis: “THE MISFITS” Mnemonic T – Trauma (Accidental or Non-accidental/Abuse) H – Heart (Congenital heart disease, dysrhythmias) E – Endocrine M – Metabolic (Inborn errors of metabolism) I – Infection (Sepsis, meningitis, pertussis, RSV) S – Seizures F – Formula (Reflux, allergy, aspiration) I – Intestinal Catastrophes (Volvulus, intussusception) T – Toxins (Medications, home exposures) S – Sepsis (Systemic infection) Workup & Diagnostics Step 1: Stabilization ABCs (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) Point-of-care Glucose Cardiorespiratory monitoring Step 2: Diagnostic Testing (For High Risk/Symptomatic Patients) Labs: VBG, CBC, Electrolytes. Imaging: CXR: Evaluate for infection and cardiothymic silhouette. EKG: Evaluate for QT prolongation or dysrhythmias. Neuro: Consider Head CT/MRI and EEG if there are concerns for trauma or seizures. Clinical Pearl: Only ~6% of diagnostic tests contribute meaningfully to the diagnosis. Be judicious—avoid “shotgunning” tests in low-risk patients. Prognosis & Outcomes Recurrence: Approximately 10% (lower than historical ALTE rates of 10-25%). Mortality: < 1%. Nearly always linked to an identifiable cause (abuse, metabolic disorder, severe infection). BRUE vs. SIDS: These are not the same. BRUE: Peaks < 2 months; occurs mostly during the day. SIDS: Peaks 2–4 months; occurs mostly midnight to 6:00 AM. Take-Home Points Diagnosis of Exclusion: You cannot call it a BRUE until you have ruled out obvious causes via history and physical. Strict Criteria: Stick strictly to the Low Risk criteria guidelines. If they miss even one (e.g., age < 60 days), they are High Risk. Education: For low-risk families, the most valuable intervention is reassurance, education, and arranging close follow-up. Systematic Approach: For high-risk infants, use a structured approach (like THE MISFITS) to ensure you don’t miss rare but reversible causes. Read More
