Jason tows the wrong car, Derek goes to England, and the boys have a conversation about the new USPS Delivery Vehicle. === Click here to join the Hagerty Driver's Club: https://bit.ly/Join-HDC-Cammisa-Rev Jason's Hoodie & Merch: https://closed-course-productions.printify.me/ === Jason's Honda Beat proves it speaks English by responding to Jason saying "my Honda doesn't leak oil" by leaking oil. And Jason's only British car, the Rover SD1 3500 V8, leaked a cubic meter of brake fluid on the ground, which Jason thought was the VW Cabriolet. Turns out the VW's brakes are fine — but its transmission fluid's color and metal content was highly concerning. Then, Jason and Derek discuss the Grumman LLV, which is about to be replaced as your local mail delivery vehicle by the Oshkosh NGDV — which is aesthetically challenged (despite it being a huge functional upgrade.) More importantly, though, Derek flew to England to attend the Goodwood Revival, which he and Jason agree is possibly the best automotive event in the world. There are many factors. The cars, the total commitment to period dress, the gender balance, the spectators, the vendors, the amusement park fair rides, the picnics, and of course — no bad social media behavior. Listen to Derek's rundown of an exceptional event. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Join us for a lighthearted look back at Goodwood Revival 2024. Andy was there on a very damp Friday, and Jon enjoyed a slightly drier visit with his wife on the Saturday.Talk wafts from first impressions, through to ticket touts, the use of cigars as a celebratory token, our friend Tim Crighton (previous guest) scoring pole position in an Austin Healey, and following that up with a stellar battle on track in the race, bagging a frustrating second place (as the race was red flagged whilst he was leading). We take a tangent on Oasis, and have a foray into F1 too.We hope you enjoy it!Join us on Tuesday 15th October when Season 5 gets underway! Had the absolute pleasure to sit and chat with Grant Williams to talk about his adventures racing, and the ups and downs that can bring. Most notably recognised for putting on a tremendous show at the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood races in his Iconic "BUY 1" Mk1 Jaguar, you know the photo of the Mk1 in a huge cloud of smoke on the Goodwood start line? yeah? that guy, a legend. Grant is also the person who helped Williams Heynes get an engine sorted for the Goodwood Revival, a lovely moment to hear that story from another perspective, and to show just how much community there is around cars. This is also the latest episode sponsored by Scalextric, Grants iconic “Buy 1” Jag was made into a Scalextric car! Karun was a test driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team in 2007 and 2008, before racing in Formula 1 for Hispania Racing and Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011. The team discusses the drivers who succeeded in Grand Prix racing when they didn't have the best car. Whether it was a 1960s BRM or virtually any of the grid from 1989 or most of the Ferrari cars which Gilles Villeneuve drove, debate will be forceful and the Corridors of Power trophy will, as always be hard fought. Jim Roller takes a look at the Monterey car week and Paul Jurd and Joe Bradley await the Goodwood Revival which starts in a couple of days time. Rick Shortle tells us about his days as circuit manager at Snetterton and tells some tales he couldn't have done at the time! Paul Tarsey hosts the show and expresses the occasional opinion too.
The first test day for the Goodwood Revival has already taken place and there were some amazing cars being shaken down, including Saif Assam's glorious Shelby Cobra. We also talk to Rory Butcher about the differences between racing his Toyota in the BTCC and peddaling a 1960s short wheelbase Porsche around Goodwood. Artist Andrew Kitson has made a study of the history of Snetterton, the Norfolk circuit which started life as a USAF bomber base in WW2 and he tells us about the history of the place. Jim Roller and Paul Tarsey discuss the time they have spent together, with both of them in the UK for a rare opportunity to share some interesting motorsport experiences. They also investigate the happenings at Monterey Car Week and look at the Pebble Beach auctions.

Paul Tarsey and Jim Roller report on their recent visit to the Goodwood Revival.
Welcome to Lovecars On The Grid, your global motorsport Podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us the latest roundup of motorsport events from around the World! In this episode, we firstly pay our tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the magnificent state funeral held today in England. With no Formula 1, there wasn't a lot of racing to look back at with just MotoGP from Aragon and NASCAR at Bristol – plus Tiff was at the Goodwood Revival in a Cobra and E-Type, while meanwhile Paul was going both ways at Knockhill in Scotland in the 2022 Caterham Championship. There is controversy following the news of Colton Herta not being granted a Superlicence by the FIA which has opened up the driver debate, so we thought we'd look through the whole field to see who's hot and who isn't plus who is in the waiting room ready to grab any vacant seats? Who would be your F1 drivers for 2023? Should Sergio Perez stay at Red Bull, Valtteri Bottas at Alfa Romeo, Pierre Gasly at AlphaTauri, Mik Schumacher at Haas? Who would get seats in your book? There was huge drama in the MotoGP world as Marc Marquez makes his return – and makes a major impact at the same time! We also look at Moto2 and a bizarre pitlane incident during Moto3. NASCAR heads to Bristol Tennessee, and sees its 19th different winner this year – with the playoff field cut from 16 to 12. Next weekend – MotoGP from Japan, WSB in Barcelona, Xtreme Buggies bounce round a Copper Mine in Chile and NASCAR heads to Texas while back home you can choose between Silverstone for the penultimate round of BTCC or BSB at Oulton Park
Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi are famous for their feud, which happened after Pironi supposedly ‘stole' victory in at Imola in 1982, and Villeneuve was so upset that he never spoke to his Ferrari team mate again. Andrew Marriott explains some of the background to the feud. Paul Tarsey and Paul Jurd look forward to the upcoming September events, Goodwood Revival and Spa Six Hours in particular, and get wistful over never having been to the ‘Circuit des Remparts' at Angouleme. And the team looks back on the life of Lance Macklin, forever associated with the Le Mans disaster in which he was a blameless player, reviewing a new book by Jack Barlow.

This week's guest is a familiar face to us at the Apex, and just maybe a familiar voice if you were lucky enough to catch our first editions way back in the mists of time! Charles Clegg is a passionate car guy and historic racer, as well as having a day job as the CEO of Custodian, the online platform and app for car enthusiasts. He joined us to talk about his life in cars, the ins and outs of competing at events like the Goodwood Revival, and what it's like to try to break a land speed record in a 1200bhp fastback Mustang.
The guys discuss Porsche's plan to turn the 718 into a fully electric lineup. Lieberman reports on the Munich Motorshow and the Goodwood Revival and another wild installment of Dear Zuckerman.
This weekend (17-19 September) the Goodwood Revival returns to Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex. But this isn't just a day out in period dress, you can watch the greatest cars and drivers recreate the glamour or motor racing as it used to be. Jenson Button will make his historic racing debut on Friday and Sunday. Expect wheel-to-wheel racing around this classic circuit, which is now more famous for hosting classic events than it was when used for contemporary racing or testing. Kevin Turner (Chief Editor, Autosport) is joined by Goodwood legend Marcus Pye to discuss the confirmed races and biggest battles you'll want to know about before this weekend. Marcus also gives us his circuit guide, corner by corner, and the best spots to watch the action
Jim Roller looks back at Monterey Car Week. The Pebble Beach Concours is the highlight but, as Jim explains, there is too much going on to be able to see everything. High-prestige auctions, car shows and two weekends of historic racing at Laguna Seca make this a very special event. And talking of special events, we take an in depth look at the upcoming Goodwood Revival. Corridors of Power, our game of opinionated nonsense, takes a different turn this month with each team member choosing their weirdest cars ever to take to the grid! Join Joe Bradley, Jim Roller, Paul Jurd and Paul Tarsey for lots of chat and stories.
Following on from achieving his goal of taking part in the Goodwood Revival and making his debut in a Ford GT40 in 2012, Chris talks through what went on behind the scenes in the following 7 years that set him on course to continue the journey that led ultimately to winning Goodwood's 'Jewel in the Crown', the RAC TT Celebration race, sharing a 1965 AC Cobra with Triple Le Mans winning legend André Lotterer in 2019.
From first visiting the Goodwood Revival in 1998 as a spectator, falling in love with historic racing and then wondering how one 'steps over the white picket fence' to become a racing driver and join the show, this episode charts the steps along the way that led to Chris going from complete novice to racing and competing in his first Goodwood Revival in 2012 in his own GT40 (chassis 1018).
