In the last episode of season 2, as lockdown looks set to fade away, the Tuck Shop Ladies try out some new buttons, get stupid over their imaginary special guests, and catch up on Rosie's war with the local post office. They let some special fans bribe them into hijacking the questions section, get right into why they like numbers, and finish off with a semi-true story for their song of the week.*Note: for those wanting resolution on the relationship quiz this week, the email never came...
Despite still being in lockdown in Melbourne, the girls manage to have a real live special guest. They talk about the absolute power of superglue, struggle to come up with 4 minutes of reasons for why they like folding chairs, come up with a fantastic new band name and bring you a short but sweet love song for their song of the week.
In excellent form this week, the girls try out some high class accents, talk juice cleanse and alcohol enemas, discuss the merits of handcuffs, and find out that they are killing it on the romance front in the relationship quiz. Oh, and there's a little song about an umbrella, just for good measure.
This week Sam and Rosie have a couple of super special guests with the usual questionable accents, they online shopping, make up some excellent combined animals, take a stand against smiling while wearing masks and sing a song about how impossible it is to remember all the different passwords you have to the internet these days. There's even a dodgy competition to enter!
This week Rosie and Sam take an impromptu trip down memory lane in the name of the gusset, discuss breaking into golf courses and falling over when your old(er).Sam interviews the inventor of the hand held hairdryer while Rosie struggles (slightly) with her Japanese accent. The ladies discover their spirit animals, with mixed feelings about the results, and crack out a song about just how good it feels to get into your tracksuit pants.
First up, a disclaimer: In Australia thongs are a type of footwear...The Tuck Shop Ladies share a little lockdown lovin’ after diving back into covid lockdown. They wax lyrical with their ‘special guests’, share their thoughts on living the dream and Rosie tries to convince Sam that her nickname is taking off. They talk dog pockets and double patella’s and crank out a song about loving someone almost all of the way.
Unaware the lockdown 2.0 is just around the corner, the Tuck Shop Ladies chat babouska dolls, being tested for covid, and their love for beaches (the movie) and bras (the boob holders). They attempt to redeem the relationship quiz and finish with this weeks Song Of The Week, a lyrical waxing about how divisive the laundromat really is.
In Episode 10 the girls talk about whether you can actually give yourself a nickname, Sam discovers a new love for the soup spoon and they try and figure out whether they are ready to travel as a couple. This week's Song of the Week takes a jig down Jazz street... clearly a street the Tuck Shop Ladies have not visited too often...
