George FitzGerald - "Mother (feat. SYML)" a 2023 single from Domino Records. British DJ/producer George FitzGerald teams up with SYML (aka Seattle's own Brian Fennell) for today's Song of the Day. The track can be found on FitzGerald's most recent EP Not As I, out now via Domino Records's imprint label, Double Six. “Collaborating with SYML on this EP was a real joy.” Fitzgerald says in a press release. “I actually reached out to him a few years ago to see if he was interested in writing together. He's an amazing lyricist and has a distinctive vocal tone, and I felt it would match my music really beautifully. Still, it took me quite a while to get to a place where I could finish the track, but sometimes you just have to let things take their course and not force them. Hopefully, you can hear some of that patience in this track.” Read the full story at KEXP.orgSupport the show: https://www.kexp.org/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We are in our concert girly era and we love it. Last weekend, we didn't go to one concert... We went to two! The first one was of SYML, where we went with the whole friend group and it was amazing. Brian (the lead singer) waqs interactong with the audience in a very special way and even took Kristýna's BeReal picture! The next morning, we watched the new Lewis Capaldi Netflix documentary, which was great. And the day after that, Birdy concert happened and we were just... so happy. In this episode's main part, we've decided to talk about future. And aůll the stress around that. Because somehow, it always seems like such a scary thing but in the end, we always look back at some points of our life and we say, hm, it wasn't that bad. So this episode is very honest but hopefully also encouraging. (We loved talking about this topic.) In the book club section, we talked about the Lewis Capaldi documentary some more, Kristýna is currently reading Cather in the Rye, Lauren isn't reading at all but of course, we enjoyed our song of the week section.
