Our guest on today's show is Nathan Poirier and we discuss veganarchism. Nathan Poirier is an independent scholar-activist who has edited or authored books that span topics like critical animal studies, veganarchism, non/human coexistence, and a forthcoming two-volume A6 set on black anarchism. Nathan is an ambassador for the Office of Empowerment (essentially the DEI organization) at Lansing Community College where Nathan is a full time math tutor. Nathan enjoys bringing people and causes together so that individuals can constructively challenge each other socially and intellectually to create a better world for all. It is Nathan's continuous goal to push their own boundaries as well as others' in terms of how critical, radical thought relates to everyday life. Preferring to be somewhat of an intellectual "jack of all trades", Nathan does not consider themselves an expert in anything and primarily hops between topics of intellectual inquiry (and back again) trying to learn a little bit of everything. This orientation fits in with and helped lead to their theorizing veganism and anarchism as the same thing - and together as a theory of everything. Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes were joined by Breakfast Ball host and former Score host Danny Parkins to discuss a variety of sports topics and to preview the Cubs for a Cure Radiothon, which he'll host on July 31.
Reggie & Ron launch the 12-hour Radiothon in support of the Houston Food Bank! Joined by Seth Payne of Payne & Pendergast, the trio sets the tone with energy, purpose, and early morning laughs — plus a strong push for donations right out of the gate.
The Reggie & Ron Radiothon continues with Brandon Scott, Clint Stoerner, and we get some B Scott Thoughts.
Reggie & Ron go live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a special all-day Radiothon on SportsRadio 610 — broadcasting with purpose to raise food and support for the Houston Food Bank. Across 12 full hours, the guys bring the energy, the laughs, and the heart of Houston. Hour 1 & 2: Seth Payne of Payne & Pendergast joins the show to kick off the morning with football insight, locker room stories, and some big-picture perspective on Houston's sports scene and community impact. Hour 3 & 4: Brandon Scott joins the crew with his signature takes, plenty of laughs, and deeper conversations on how we can all step up to help Houston families in need. Throughout the day, the guys spotlight the mission of the Houston Food Bank, share stories from listeners and volunteers, and drive home how every donation can make a difference.
The Radiothon rolls on as Clint Stoerner joins Reggie & Ron live in studio for some midday fun and football talk — all for a great cause. Plus, a surprise call-in from John Lopez adds extra energy to the mix. The mission stays the same: raising food and funds for the Houston Food Bank. Tap in, donate, and be part of something bigger!
Hour 3 of the Radiothon brings the always-opinionated Luke Mauro into the mix as he joins Reggie & Ron for a hilarious and revealing edition of Lunch-Time Confessions. What starts as light-hearted honesty quickly turns into a spirited discussion about sports hate — the teams, players, and moments that still sting. It's raw, real, and radio gold… all for a great cause, raising food and funds for the Houston Food Bank.
The Reggie & Ron Radiothon continues with Brandon Scott, Clint Stoerner, and we get some B Scott Thoughts.
Reggie & Ron keep the energy high in Hour 4 of the Radiothon with a lively visit from Luke Mauro, bringing his takes and chemistry to the table. Then it's time for Figgy's Mixtape, delivering the trending, the hilarious, and the downright wild stories from the world of pop culture and beyond. The hour gets even better when Jessie Watt from Mix 96.5 stops by to show support, share some laughs, and prove that good radio (and good causes) cross station lines. Whether it's music, mayhem, or meaningful moments, Hour 4 brings it all — and it's all for the Houston Food Bank.

Alex and Jeremy take over the podcast today, as Donny prepares for his annual Radiothon, which starts tomorrow. Alex and Jeremy delve into the latest rumors surrounding Kyrou's potential availability via trade. Does it make sense for the Blues & who is out there that makes him worth trading? They also talk about whether it's a disappointment for the Blues to return with the same roster. Also, on Faksa's availability around the league, good luck getting Hofer & a preview of the NHL Draft.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Our guest on today's show is Ari, who returns for a follow up conversation on conflict in activist spaces and in community group settings. Ari (they/them) is a community organiser, mediator and support worker who is passionate about exploring the transformative potential of generative conflict and accountability work. Working primarily in community organising settings, Ari believes that how we relate to each other directly impacts our political capacities, and that although large-scale political organising is vital, most change happens at the relational and community level. Their work is informed by abolitionist and transformative justice frameworks, which are ways of being and organising rooted in indigenous knowledge and BiPoc communities in which there have historically been other ways of dealing with conflict than the models white supremacy culture teaches us today. Authors and organisers who have inspired them greatly are Andrea Ritchie, adrienne maree brown, Mia Mingus, Mariame Kaba, Dean Spade and many more. When not organising workshops or supporting comrades in conflict resolution, they enjoy learning about generative somatics, dancing and moving their body and supporting community events. They grew up in Germany and are currently living on unceded Wurrendjeri Woi-Worrung Land. In 2004, the City of Barcelona built five artificial reefs by submerging around 300 concrete blocks off the coast of Barcelona. Two decades on, these artificial environments are now home to a thriving marine ecosystem. The Symphony of the Artificial Reef, a sound work by Juan Pablo Pacheco Bejarano and the Institute for Postnatural Studies, explores the encounters between these cohabiting human and marine infrastructure, through listening to the sounds of marine life, submarine internet cables, gas pipelines, cargo ships, sonar and more.We spoke with Juan about what these postnatural environments tell us about binaries between humans and nature, the role of tourism and extractivism, and what we can discover by really listening to water. Plus we learnt just how loud life in the ocean can be.You can follow Juan's work at https://www.juanpablopacheco.com/ or on Instagram @juanppachecob and listen to the Symphony here: https://on.soundcloud.com/jervwtIgM0WW0Brayl PS: Can you help us keep making Out Of The Blue?
