Job interviews have always been a daunting prospect for a number of reasons. And the process is only getting more time-consuming for candidates, without offering increased chances of success. According to a June 2023 report from the Josh Bersin Company and AMS, the average recruitment process now take a whopping 44 days. As if all this isn't demanding enough, interviewers like to throw in the occasional curveball too when meeting candidates. One such example is the coffee cup test, which gained attention in 2019 after a man called Trent Innes, then Managing Director of Xero Australia, appeared on The Venture Podcast with Lambros Photios to discuss his hiring strategy. Why are we talking about it in 2023 then? Why is there a growing emphasis on soft skills in the workplace? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! A first hand account of how the GSK case was solved, the science used in Australia to crack similar cases and the ethical complexities that are muddying the waters. The case of the Golden State Killer puzzled police and amateur sleuths for decades. Then, in April 2018, a Sacramento man was arrested and charged. How did police find their man, and what led them to him after years of nothing but cold clues and lack of leads? Genealogy is a complex, and often misunderstood science. But, according to Professor Dennis McNevin, an expert in the field of forensic genetics, it's a technique police are becoming more and more interested in, and something we could see used in Australia very soon. Join host Kathryn Fox as she unpacks Dennis' work and career, and dives into cases like the Golden State Killer and the Somerton man. There are several reasons why someone may find themselves looking for a new Church. Some of those reasons are a normal part of life, some of those reasons aren't Biblical at all. On this episode I talk about a few things I think must be present in a Church when looking for a new Church. #church #preference #christianity https://youtu.be/jcHMxAx1a3Q

We throw away 50,000,000,000, that's fifty BILLION, single use coffee cups each year. While most of these are made out of paper they include a plastic liner which makes them very tricky, if impossible, to recycle. Sanjeev Mankotia is on a mission to create a better coffee cup, one you can recycle yourself, just by smashing it on the ground. The idea for Gaeastar arose when Sanjeev was visiting family in India. There he was re-introduced the millennia old practice of building a cup out of clay. Local vendors would go the river bed in the morning, form their cups out of mud, then sell their wares to clients who would smash the cups on the ground after they'd finished their drink. Simple, elegant, and entirely environmentally sound. Using 3D printing and robotics automation Sanjeev is adopting that tradition to a western market. He envisions a world where every coffee shop has their own 3D printing machine on the counter, building coffee cups to order, personalized with your name and smash-ready when you're done with your morning brew. Check out more at www.gaeastar.com. Thanks for listening, you can always email us with thoughts, guest suggestions and feedback at hello@whossavingtheplanet.com

Let's talk about it, but lets sit back and talk about it from a biblical perspective. #mattrife #comedy #culture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW98FDtbKak
