In today's episode I review a pair of editorials from The Christian Chronicle and a related blog post from The Doc File. Each article treats Christian responses to ICE and immigration enforcement attempts in Minnesota and elsewhere. My main point is this: we the Church must be honest when we critique political systems, agents, and representatives–we cannot fall into the trap (and idolatry!) of partisanship. I referred to the following articles in this video: Kelly Walden, "ICE has gone too far": https://christianchronicle.org/icetoofar/ Jack Wilkie, "Anti-immigration, pro-love of neighbor": https://christianchronicle.org/iceandlove/ Luke Dockery, “Wise as Serpents, Gentle as Doves: Christian Engagement in the Public Square”: https://lukedockery.com/2026/02/02/wise-as-serpents-gentle-as-doves-christian-engagement-in-the-public-square/

As conversations about banning phones and curbing screen use grow louder, parents are left asking an honest question: Is technology the problem, or are we? In this episode of Facing the Dark, Wayne Stender and Dr. Kathy Koch explore new legislative efforts around screen limits and use them as a springboard for a much more personal conversation about parenting and formation. Dr. Kathy reframes the issue with clarity and grace: technology itself isn't the enemy, but when it becomes the primary way kids (and adults) cope with boredom or anxiety, something essential is lost. Parents are challenged to look inward first, recognizing that kids will struggle to give up screens if adults aren't willing to do the same. The episode explores why screens often become a refuge for anxious hearts, and why removing them without replacing them leaves kids unprepared to process life well. Rather than advocating for extremes, the conversation centers on coexisting wisely with technology. Parents are encouraged to build alternative rhythms that include quiet, prayer, creativity, play, conversation, and service, so screens aren't the default solution to every uncomfortable moment. Dr. Kathy also offers a clear, realistic vision for a family tech policy: visible alternatives, no devices in bedrooms, strong boundaries, character based decisions, and parents who are confident enough to say no without guilt. Grounded in Jesus' teaching about the Sabbath in Mark 2, the episode reminds families that limits are not punishments; they are gifts. Just as rest was designed to restore humanity, wise tech boundaries protect attention and relationships. When children learn that they are valued apart from constant stimulation or connection, they gain freedom rather than restriction. This episode equips parents to lead with humility and courage, helping technology return to its rightful place as a tool, not a ruler.

In this Jewish Inspiration Podcast episode (Day 119), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe begins the Gate of Falsehood (Sheker) from Orchos Tzaddikim, emphasizing the Torah's command: "Distance yourself from falsehood" (midvar sheker tirchak). Falsehood is weighed like gold and silver—requiring careful discernment between truth and lies. The rabbi outlines types of falsehood: obvious lies (e.g., calling a tree gold), subtle forgeries (copper made to look like gold), and sophisticated rationalizations that make lies appear true. Wise people distinguish truth from falsehood in their hearts, rejecting self-serving justifications driven by negative traits (arrogance, laziness, anger, love/hate).The chapter warns that falsehood distances one from Hashem (who is truth: "Hashem Elokeinu Emet") and harms others (e.g., false testimony, slander causing pain or discord). Even when no personal gain exists, lying reflects "crookedness of heart." The rabbi stresses purging bad traits to attain pure truth—rationalizations often justify evil behavior. The episode concludes with the first category of liars (denying deposits, false testimony) and their double punishment: separation from Hashem and damage to others. Next time: deeper categories of falsehood.Recorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on July 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on February 1, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Share your questions at aw@torchweb.org or visit torchweb.org for more Torah content.  _____________About the Host:Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe, Director of TORCH in Houston, brings decades of Torah scholarship to guide listeners in applying Jewish wisdom to daily life.  To directly send your questions, comments, and feedback, please email: awolbe@torchweb.org_____________Support Our Mission:Our Mission is Connecting Jews & Judaism. In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sayan sits down with Kylee Ingram to unpack how better decision design can reduce stress, improve clarity, and rebuild self-trust at work. They explore decision intelligence, crowd wisdom, and why “the usual people in the room” often leads to predictable mistakes. This conversation is for leaders, founders, and team members who feel stuck in chaotic meetings, unclear accountability, or constant second-guessing. You will learn how to structure decision rooms so the right voices are included, bias is reduced, and decisions improve without adding more time or drama. About the Guest: Kylee Ingram is the co-founder and CEO of Wizer, a decision intelligence platform focused on mapping cognitive strengths and helping teams bring the right people into important decisions. Her background includes television production and a crowdsourced documentary experiment called CrowdTV. Key Takeaways: Aim for 6+ decision participants to unlock “wise crowd” effects, but only if diversity and independence are built in Watch for three bias types in meetings: social (who is heard), information (what is valued), capacity(oversimplifying under pressure) A weak decision room looks like the same voices repeating, blind spots growing, and outcomes feeling narrow Build the room using three lenses: outward diversity (age, gender, ethnicity), experience, and cognitive roles(data, risk, options, process, outcomes) Better decision design can reduce errors and improve innovation when the right mix is present Start by understanding your own decision style, then add a complementary thinker to balance your blind spots How to Connect With the Guest: https://www.wizer.business/decision-profiles  If you're curious about how you make decisions, Kylee invites listeners to complete a free Decision Profile. It takes about five minutes and gives you insight into your decision style, strengths, and blind spots — and how you tend to show up in group decisions.   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? HOW TO PAY THE IRS NOW THAT PAPER CHECKS ARE ENDING FROM BALTIMORE WASHINGTON FINANCIAL ADVISORS Lawrence M. Post CPA, MST, CFP®, CIMA® Senior Tax & Planning Advisor, BWFA Tessa Hall Media and Communications Specialist, BWFA About This Episode The IRS is moving away from paper checks and shifting to electronic payments. In this episode, the BWFA team explains what IRS payment modernization means, how refunds and tax payments will be handled going forward, and what steps taxpayers should take now to avoid delays or penalties. For more information, visit BWFA's Tax Planning Services page. Read Full Description The IRS is changing how it handles payments and refunds. As part of a broader modernization effort, paper checks are being phased out in favor of electronic options. While many taxpayers have already made this shift, others may still rely on mailing checks. In this episode of Healthy, Wealthy & Wise, the BWFA team discusses what this change means and why it matters. They explain how payment methods are evolving, what could happen if old approaches no longer apply, and why timing and preparation are becoming more important. At the same time, the episode addresses common concerns around security and access. Some people hesitate to use electronic payments, yet mailed checks often create their own risks. Understanding the tradeoffs can help taxpayers decide how to move forward with more confidence. The conversation also highlights practical considerations for managing payments and refunds under the new system. Rather than reacting after a problem arises, listeners are encouraged to think ahead and make updates before deadlines create pressure. Ultimately, this episode reinforces a simple point. As the IRS modernizes its processes, staying informed and adapting early can help prevent unnecessary delays, penalties, and frustration. The goal is not to complicate tax planning, but to make sure systems work as expected when it matters most.

Money has a way of making life feel complicated. Whether we're facing major financial crossroads or simply trying to steward everyday expenses with wisdom, many of us default to figuring things out on our own. But Scripture reminds us that navigating life in isolation isn't a sign of strength—it's often a barrier to wisdom. Proverbs 11:14 teaches that “where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Wise counsel, especially when rooted in biblical truth, protects us from blind spots, emotional decision-making, and unnecessary regret. On this episode of Faith & Finance, Sharon Epps—President of Kingdom Advisors and a familiar voice to FaithFi listeners—joins us to explore why seeking counsel is an essential part of faithful stewardship. Sharon explains that while Scripture is our ultimate authority, God often uses people to speak wisdom into our lives. Advisors, mentors, and trustworthy peers help us see what we might otherwise miss, and their influence can redirect us toward obedience, humility, and clarity.Yet many believers hesitate to ask for help. Sharon acknowledges that reluctance often stems from pride—the subtle belief that we should be able to manage life independently. But asking for help is an act of faith, not weakness. It invites others to use the gifts God has given them and prevents us from making decisions based solely on fear, impulse, or confirmation bias.Drawing from the story of Rehoboam in 1 Kings 12, Sharon highlights the danger of listening only to voices that tell us what we want to hear. Rehoboam rejected the wisdom of seasoned counselors in favor of peers who affirmed his own desires—and the outcome was disastrous. The lesson is clear: godly counsel may not always feel comfortable, but it aligns us with God's purposes and challenges us to pursue stewardship that honors Him.Sharon then offers practical guidance for how believers can seek wise counsel today. At times, this involves working with trained financial professionals—such as Certified Kingdom Advisors (CKA)—who integrate biblical wisdom with planning, investing, and long-term financial strategy. In other seasons, we need mentors who have walked ahead of us and can offer perspective, or peer friendships that speak truth with honesty and grace. Sometimes the right conversation happens over coffee; other times it requires prayer, pastoral guidance, and spiritual discernment. For those currently overwhelmed by a financial decision, Sharon's simple encouragement is: don't go it alone. Isolation amplifies anxiety, while community brings clarity. Invite trusted voices into the process, seek the Lord in prayer, and remember James 1:5—God gives wisdom generously to those who ask.Listeners interested in working with a financial professional trained to offer biblically faithful and practically sound counsel can connect with a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA) at FindACKA.com.On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:My husband and I aren't always on the same page when it comes to money. Yesterday we started reading Paul's letter to the Romans.  It contains so much that is relevant to life today.  Paul writes of how humans, “claiming to be wise, they became fools” [Ch.1 v.22]    He says, “what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them” [v.19]   He says, “his invisible attributes …. have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made” [v.20]   In other words, although God himself cannot be seen by human eyes, the evidence of his existence should be plain to humans because of all the remarkable things which he has created.   Paul continues, “they became futile in their thinking and their foolish heart was darkened.” [v.21]   The foolishness of those days, which still continues among some nations, is to believe God is represented in animals, such as Elephants, and to worship them. But today, throughout what we call the Western world, so many who are “claiming to be wise” – believe there is no God of any kind, that everything that exists in some unknowable way – created itself!  This was possible, they strangely reason, if we allow enough millions and billions of years, through an endless series of “accidents.”  Yet the more humans discover the wonders of the world in which they live, the more incredible they finds it to be, all the wonders of DNA being one of the recent examples.  As a result, the more foolish their words in “claiming to be wise” appear to be!  Marvellous designs – but no designer!! The tragedy is that, having convinced themselves there is no God, the words of Paul which follow are even more true today than ever before.  He wrote “and since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice … haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless … “ [v.28-31]  There is much more in this chapter including a condemnation of homosexuality; as things that humans do when they have no knowledge or belief in the one and only God.  It is becoming clearer that there is no middle road, we either believe or we do not – and if we believe, we must not be half hearted about it.When the Kingdom is established, may our king say to us as Pharaoh said to Joseph, “there is none so discerning and wise as you are.” [Gen. 41 v.39]  But for the present we must heed Paul's warning in Romans, “Never be wise in your own sight.” [12 v.16]

Send us a textToday, we move into a chapter where the real battle isn't fought with swords or armies — it's fought with counsel, with strategy, and with the unseen hand of God quietly shaping the outcome. This is the chapter where human wisdom on one level reaches its highest point… and yet still falls short of the purposes of God. It's where the most brilliant strategist in Israel gives flawless advice — and God overturns it with a word. It's where Absalom looks unstoppable — and yet the seeds of his downfall are already being sown. We're going to walk through this chapter today in three sections: 1. Ahithophel's Counsel — Brilliant, Ruthless, and Humanly Unbeatable. t is almost flawless. From heaven's perspective, it is already doomed. 2. Hushai's Counter‑Counsel. Then Hushai steps forward with a plan that appeals not to strategy, but to Absalom's ego. And in that moment, God bends the heart of a rebellious son towards choosing the wrong plan — the very thing that will save David's life. 3. The Escape — God's Protection of David. David is exhausted, vulnerable, and outnumbered — but he is not unprotected. This chapter is a helpful reminder that God does not need the odds in His favour to accomplish His will.  He simply speaks — and the counsel of the wise is overturned.Welcome to the episode…. Land Development Conversations with Developers, Builders, and Industry LeadersReal conversations from the development world.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow and Support All my Creative endeavours on Patreon. And sometimes the best lessons come from the most unexpected places... like watching my son walk barefoot in sandals through a cold, rainy parking lot.In this reflective episode, I share a simple family moment that reminded me: mindfulness looks different for everyone. When my son told me he loves feeling "the air flowing between his toes," I realized he'd found his own way to be present—even if it made his parents cringe.Key Takeaways:→ Kids often know what they need and can make informed decisions (even about socks)→ Mindfulness doesn't require meditation cushions or apps—it can be as simple as cold air on bare feet→ Wise parents pick their battles; natural consequences teach better than artificial ones→ We all have our own version of "sockless mindfulness"—mine is opening the bathroom window during a hot showerA Question for You:What's YOUR unconventional mindfulness practice? The thing that grounds you that might seem weird to others?

Simple, straightforward hearing and chanting—reading Prabhupāda's books—is the primal sound of our organization. That's where you get the connection: just to hear it, what Prabhupāda wrote. That's most important. Prabhupāda was eager for everyone to read his books for that very reason, because he poured himself into the books. So, that's really important. And then also, the missionary spirit—taking time to go out. You can't replace that with anything else. Even if you become a scholar of Prabhupāda's books, but you don't show mercy to others, it's not going to be the same effect. Both things have to be there because when you go out and you try to teach people Kṛṣṇa consciousness, first of all, you realize what Prabhupāda went through; he suffered the same grief of teaching people. And you also become adept at reading Prabhupāda's books because you get questions and challenges and so forth. Seeing people categorically reject them you can see that same tendency for atheism in yourself. And then you can see people who spontaneously embrace them, and you might say, 'Oh, I wish I had as much enthusiasm as they did.' In other words, it's uplifting to go out and present it to other people. So those two things, on a simple level, are organizing ways in which to hear—especially from Prabhupāda's books—and emphasizing that it's important to assimilate what we already have before branching out too far. I usually talk about 80/20: 80% core, 20% reference and explore to try to understand the Vaiṣṇava canon. But even in that, be really aware of the fact that the various ways people translate could be off. I once asked Hṛdayānanda Mahārāja, "Which Mahābhārata should I read?" He said, "Don't read the Mahābhārata. Just read the Bhāgavatam." He said that because everything's confirmed in the Bhāgavatam, and there are so many editions of the Mahābhārata that you can't tell which one's which or which ones have been interpolated. So he said, "Just study the Bhāgavatam, and everything you need to know is in there." So, who's done that? A few people, not many. But those who have are noticeably enlightened by reading the Bhāgavatam. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

In this episode of Dealer Talk with Jen Suzuki, I sit down with Kerri Wise, Chief Marketing Officer at LotLinx, to unpack one of the biggest problems I've seen after decades of training sales teams: wasted time chasing the wrong leads while real opportunities sit right under our noses. Kerri brings a rare perspective, deep automotive experience from brands like TrueCar and Edmunds, paired with a clear understanding of how AI and machine learning can actually support dealership operations, not complicate them. We dive into LotLinx's newest product, Revive, launching at the NADA Show, which helps dealers reclaim "closed-lost" leads that sales teams have already moved on from but shoppers haven't. The data may surprise you: nearly 20% of those leads return to the dealership website within 45 days, often unnoticed. This conversation covers: Why most follow-up strategies waste salesperson time How AI identifies high-intent shoppers the moment they re-engage The difference between top-of-funnel noise and bottom-of-funnel gold Why AI adoption fails without human execution How dealerships can give their teams time, focus, and humanity back We also talk about what LotLinx is unveiling at NADA—including one of the biggest giveaways the automotive industry has ever seen. A $148,000 prize and let's just say Jetson 1, aerial vehicle that for anyone else is a 2 year waitlist! If you're a dealer, GM, sales leader, or operator thinking seriously about efficiency, AI, and profitability in a tightening market—this episode is a must-listen.

Here are a few comments that come from Śrīdhara Svāmī—the great Bhāgavata commentator from antiquity—on the verse 'bhayaṁ dvitīyābhiniveśataḥ syat.' He gives a comment about why knowledge alone cannot remove fear. He says, "If fear comes from ignorance (this is the question someone might pose), shouldn't knowledge alone remove it?" He points out that the Bhāgavata's answer is that māyā is not merely ignorance; it is a personal, active potency (duratyayā). Therefore, intellectual correction is insufficient. He explains why "ahaṁ brahmāsmi" can reduce suffering temporarily, but without positive shelter, fear returns. Fear ends not when identity is negated, but when identity is anchored in Kṛṣṇa. So, besides understanding one's constitutional position—which is essential, mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛti-sthāni karṣati that verse (BG 15.7) came to mind as you mentioned how we struggle with the mind. We are parts and parcels of Kṛṣṇa; we are always connected to Him. But then, we struggle with the six senses and the mind. When one gets knowledge of ahaṁ brahmāsmi and the information of one's relationship with Kṛṣṇa, and a process through which one can repair that relationship. Śrīla Prabhupāda describes this in the purport from the Bhagavad-gītā: ādau śraddhā tataḥ sādhu-saṅgo 'tha bhajana-kriyā tato 'nartha-nivṛttiḥ syāt tato niṣṭhā rucis tataḥ In the beginning, there must be an awakening of faith (ādau). That generally comes by association with devotees who plant the seed of faith in the heart, because there is a natural way in which we pick up the qualities of those with whom we associate. Pure devotees—those fully dedicated to Kṛṣṇa—carry a certain potency within their heart, as described by Yudhiṣṭhira to Vidura (SB 1.13.10): bhavad-vidhā bhāgavatās tīrtha-bhūtāḥ svayaṁ vibho tīrthī-kurvanti tīrthāni svāntaḥ-sthena gadābhṛtā He told Vidura, "You are a walking tīrtha because you carry the Supreme Personality of Godhead within your heart." The meaning of that—since everyone carries the Supreme Personality of Godhead within their heart—is that the devotee has love for Kṛṣṇa within his heart. Therefore, coming in contact with such a person, one is able to perceive the goal of life. Even if not intellectually, one feels it: "This person is trustworthy. I can surrender here because the person has no material motive." That is an observation many people had upon meeting Prabhupāda. People have said many times, remembering their connection with him, "He saw right through me. I felt at that time that he saw my soul," or, "He wasn't judging me; he was only giving me mercy and compassion." That can only come from somebody who has love for Kṛṣṇa within their heart. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality

In our chanting, we may come to a moment of awareness that we have the opportunity—as Kṛṣṇa is calling us through the devotees, directly Himself through the Gītā, and in the heart—to surrender. The moment that becomes momentous, noteworthy, exciting, or interesting in the life of any jīva, and that has an effect on the whole universe beyond the status quo of the material world, is when we individually decide, expressing our sincerity and our free will: 'I am going to surrender to Kṛṣṇa.' As the story goes on, the war takes place and the disaster unfolds based on that one decision that Dhṛtarāṣṭra made not to follow what Kṛṣṇa had advised. Then Vidura comes and rescues Dhṛtarāṣṭra out of his goodwill and love for him, and he drags him out. Prabhupāda mentions in that section—when Dhṛtarāṣṭra is becoming reformed through the process of Aṣṭāṅga-yoga—that if he had started earlier, he would have had the opportunity to have complete success. However, he only made it a few preliminary steps; he made a few preliminary spiritual steps by the grace of Vidura. So, the other impetus for us is to not wait until Vidura has to pull us out. Preemptively, take the steps. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

How Artificial is Your Intelligence | HG Vaisesika Dasa | WISE, Davis | 21 Jan 2025

The idea of intelligence is presented in the Bhagavad-gītā. It is a relationship we have with the Supreme that comes to us naturally; and, according to the particular kind of "vessel" we live in, we have more or less capacity to appreciate that intelligence. One of the ways in which the ancient wisdom literatures describe intelligence is when we are able to utilize it to ask the bigger questions in life. An amazing feature of that process is that when you ask, then the intelligence is forthcoming. So, now we have a fascination with Artificial Intelligence, do we not? Audience: Yes! There are a lot of thoughts about what it means to all of us in human society—or individually—and what kind of effect it will have on us and so forth. As an observation, humans are very intelligent; they can create such technology that generates Artificial Intelligence. But according to the Bhagavad-gītā, there is a way in which all of the technologies that we use within this world, ultimately, are bringing in information from a closed system. It takes the information that we already have and repackages it in ways that we can try to utilize. However, until we ask a larger question ourselves and recognize the intelligence that is already inherent and natural to us, we are simply getting recycled information in different combinations and permutations that do not necessarily bring us to full satisfaction. That kind of intelligence, in the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa says comes to a sincere inquirer. When we recognize our free will and we inquire about what the most important achievement in life is, or how we can become free from suffering, the answers come. These are big questions: "Is there a cause for suffering itself?" These types of answers come to a sincere inquirer from, as I described, the Supreme Intelligence that is naturally there within us. So, we already have "AI," but it is not an "A"—it is just an "S." It is Supreme Intelligence that comes to us naturally. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

James 1:5 (NIV) “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”This year, with God's help and the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare: I will SEEK WISDOM. My independence, my isolation, and even the wrong friends are ENEMIES of my growth. I refuse to do life apart from GODLY COMMUNITY.If you want wise DECISIONS, you need wise VOICES.Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.1. Wisdom GROWS in PROXIMITY.Wisdom isn't just TAUGHT—it's CAUGHT.ISOLATION blocks ILLUMINATION.Genesis 2:18 The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.'2. Wise people are GODLY PEOPLE.A godly person KNOWS God's Word and LIVES God's Word.Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.Feelings are REAL, but feelings are not RELIABLE.Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.3. Wrong community DESTROYS; right community STRENGTHENS.1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.'You can LOVE people without letting them LEAD you.Your circle is either FEEDING your faith or STARVING your future.Life starts UNRAVELING the moment I PULL AWAY from godlycommunity.Hebrews 10:24–25   And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.ROWS are great for worship. CIRCLES are where you grow. You are ONE godly community away from WISDOM landing in your life.

Today, I'm honored to connect with Jerry Wise, a leading voice in family systems and self-differentiation. With over 45 years of experience healing adults from narcissistic, dysfunctional, and emotionally immature family systems, Jerry's work guides people out of lifelong patterns of guilt, shame, and emotional enmeshment so they can finally live as their true selves. This episode is not about telling anyone what they should do with their family relationships. It's about understanding patterns, reclaiming choice, and recognizing that protecting your nervous system is essential for your wellness. We dive into narcissism, personality disorders, and the spectrum within which Jerry believes narcissism falls. We explore low, middle, and high-anxiety family systems, clarify why self-differentiation is critically important, and how long-term nervous system dysregulation often occurs when we grow up in narcissistic homes. We also cover trauma bonding, the impact of avoidance, the role of boundaries, and cultural myths around honoring our parents, and I answer some rapid-fire questions tailored explicitly to Jerry's expertise. I have wanted to interview Jerry for the podcast for a long time, and this is one of those truly impactful and deeply personal episodes. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN: How narcissistic parents differ from other types of parents The developmental switches that get turned off in those growing up with narcissistic parents Intergenerational trauma and how it impacts nervous system regulation and emotional health How self-differentiation can help individuals manage their emotional systems Challenges of setting boundaries with narcissistic parents Why internal boundaries are essential How avoidance can become a coping mechanism for dealing with uncomfortable feelings The importance of maintaining reality and not giving up on your true self to honor your parents and/or meet their expectations Strategies for managing family dynamics and reducing chronic anxiety Connect with Cynthia Thurlow   Follow on X, Instagram & LinkedIn Check out Cynthia's website Submit your questions to support@cynthiathurlow.com Join other like-minded women in a supportive, nurturing community: The Midlife Pause/Cynthia Thurlow  Cynthia's Menopause Gut Book is on presale now! (2 Kings 10:10) In this survey of 2 Kings, Scott traces how national decline often mirrors personal spiritual failure. This study highlights the consequences of idolatry and disobedience, the role of God's messengers, and the presence of a faithful remnant, and serves to remind all of our personal walk with God. Wise people understand the consequences of disobedience. It is much easier to learn this from the failure of others than to experience it for yourself. The illustrations in the kings provides instruction for each of us. (10019260122) Read Scott's book, The Need of Our Nation, HERE.  Join our study through Scripture this year.
