This week Andrew is joined by Josh and Diego. They kick things off by looking at how farmers can reduce the carbon per tonne of their grain — turns out it's not as straightforward as it sounds. The trio dig into the difference between cutting carbon through yield versus reducing carbon inputs, before all agreeing that new techniques are worth testing before going all in. Eternity is coming—and the question is, are you wise or foolish when it comes to where you will spend it? So many people don't take eternity seriously and are uncertain of their salvation. In this message, Pastor Jeff Schreve explores Jesus' parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13, which serves as a powerful warning about spiritual readiness and the importance of wisdom over foolishness.

Be Wise With Your Words Proverbs 10:11–14 “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. On the lips of one who has understanding, wisdom is found… The wise lay up knowledge, but the babbling of a fool brings ruin near.” During our Wednesday morning prayer group, someone received this word from the Lord: “Be wise with your words. Be positive, not negative. Use your words to build up and encourage, not discourage.” At the same time, someone else received today's verse. It felt clear that the Lord wanted us to reflect on the power of our words. Lent seemed like the perfect time for this. One woman in my Thursday prayer group said she is fasting from unkind words this Lent. I thought that was a beautiful idea. Often we speak without thinking. We say whatever comes to mind, sometimes believing we are helping someone by pointing out what they are doing wrong. But is it truly wrong, or simply different from what we would do? And even if correction is needed, is this the right time and place? If we slowed down and thought before speaking, this world would be a kinder place. I love how the verse says, “The babbling of a fool brings ruin near.” Ruin does not always mean something dramatic. Sometimes careless words ruin a moment, a day, or even a relationship. Our words truly carry power. As Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Because of this, we must choose our words carefully. The world already has enough harsh voices. What if we stood out because of our kindness? What if people said about us, “That person never has an unkind word to say”? As followers of Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives within us. What if we spoke to others as if we were speaking directly to Jesus? In many ways, we are. Another powerful fast we could consider is fasting from gossip—not just during Lent, but permanently. When we refuse to participate in gossip, people eventually stop bringing it to us. It may feel awkward at first, but it is possible to gently change the conversation. The world needs more kindness, less judgment, and more people willing to use their words for good. This morning I watched a video from a young adult with autism who shared how often she has been misunderstood. Because she struggles with non-verbal cues, she sometimes loses friendships without even knowing what went wrong. Her friends might imply something or give subtle signals, but she needs direct communication. It reminded me how important it is to learn how others communicate. Sometimes we take offense to someone's words when they never intended to hurt us. They may simply communicate differently. When we feel offended, it can help to pause and ask ourselves:Why do I feel offended? What might the other person be experiencing right now? Communication is a two-way street. Both people share responsibility for speaking with kindness and seeking understanding. Recently our family learned that one of my sons has autism in addition to ADHD. This has opened my eyes to how easily misunderstandings can happen. Looking back, I realize there were many moments when clearer words or different phrasing might have helped him understand better. You may not be communicating with someone who has autism or ADHD—but you might be communicating with a teenager, a quiet spouse, a struggling coworker, or someone carrying burdens you cannot see. Each person may require a different approach. Communication matters more than we often realize. Two people can say the same words but receive completely different responses because tone, body language, and attitude matter just as much as the words themselves. If we want to walk boldly with Jesus, we must pay attention to how we communicate His love. The same message can be delivered with compassion or with harshness. The difference matters. I believe the Lord is inviting us to make a sincere effort to communicate in ways that help others feel seen and understood. When we take the time to do this, people often experience the love of Jesus through us. If you ever feel misunderstood in a conversation, pause and quietly pray, “Come Holy Spirit, come.” Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your words. If a conversation feels difficult, invite Him in before it even begins. He knows exactly what needs to be said. Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless each person listening today. Lord, help us to be wise with our words. Give us the strength to avoid gossip and unkind speech. Help us become people who build others up and represent you well in the world. Show us where we need to grow in our communication and teach us how to understand those around us. We know we cannot do this alone, but with you, all things are possible. We ask this in Jesus's holy name, Amen. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. I look forward to meeting you here again tomorrow. Remember, Jesus loves you just as you are, and so do I. God is on your side, and we are both rooting for you. Have a blessed day! An award-winning non-fiction author for adults and fiction writer for children – whose books have sold over 4million copies worldwide, Rundell has penned works that span from the Impossible Creatures series – set in magical, endangered Archipelago – to Rooftoppers, about a young girl called Sophie who climbs the roofs of Paris in search of her mother, which is, one of my favourites. Because another of Rundell's great works is Why You Should Read Children's Books Even Though You Are So Old and Wise, a small yet mighty book that argues for children's fiction as integral to our reading output. A place which invites us not only to understand the fundamentals of good and evil, but reminds us of the importance of taking kids seriously, as Sophie, the protagonist in Rooftoppers, reminds us: “Do not underestimate children, do not underestimate girls.” I also highly recommend Rundell's lecture on this subject that was published in the London Review of Books last winter. A Fellow of St Catherine's College, Oxford and quondam fellow of All Souls College, Oxford – where she was admitted as the youngest fellow in 2008 – Rundell is also a scholar on the 16th century poet, preacher, politician, lawyer, Dean of St Paul's Cathedral (and more) John Donne, with her electrically-written biography, Super Infinite: The Transformations of John Donne that won her the Baillie Gifford Prize. A #1 NYT and ST bestselling author, the winner of Waterstones Book of the Year, and the Author of the Year, as recognised by the British Book Awards, Rundell is one of our greatest thinkers, writers, creators, and campaigner for “putting imagination first”. And it is reading her books that I am reminded of that superpower, the brilliance of human capability that not only gets us to dream up different worlds, but imagine how we can make this complex one a much more beautiful and better place. Have you ever felt like God brought you out of something… but you're still not experiencing the freedom you expected? You're no longer where you used to be. But you're not fully where you thought you'd be by now either. In this episode, we walk through the story of the Israelites in Exodus, Numbers, and Hebrews to explore the difference between understandable fear and hardened unbelief—and how that difference can quietly shape our lives. This conversation is for Christian women seeking clarity, peace, and faith-centered wisdom. If you've been feeling stuck, circling the same mountain, or hesitating at the edge of something God may be calling you into, this episode will help you pause and examine your heart with honesty and hope. God's Kindness in the Detour (Exodus 13:17) When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, He did not lead them the shortest route to the Promised Land. Scripture tells us why: He knew they weren't ready for war. If they saw battle too soon, they would turn back. So He led them another way. What we see here: • God is protective. • Delays can be mercy. • The longer path may be preparation. Sometimes what feels like slow progress is actually kindness. God sees what would overwhelm you. He knows what you're ready to face—and what you're not. Standing at the Edge of the Promise (Numbers 13–14) About a year after leaving Egypt, the Israelites stood right outside Canaan. They had witnessed: • The plagues in Egypt • The parting of the Red Sea • God's daily provision in the wilderness And yet when they saw giants in the land, fear took over. Joshua and Caleb said, “The Lord is with us. Do not fear.” The rest of the people grumbled. They talked about returning to Egypt. They even wanted to stone their leaders. They were right there. The issue wasn't that they felt afraid. The issue was what they did with their fear. There is a difference between: “I'm scared, Lord—but I trust You.” And: “This feels dangerous. I'm going back.” That difference kept them out of the Promised Land. What Hebrews Says About Unbelief (Hebrews 3) Hebrews 3 looks back on this story and gives clarity: They were unable to enter because of unbelief. Not because they lacked evidence. Not because God hadn't shown Himself faithful. Because their hearts hardened. This is where the story becomes personal. Where have we: • Seen God's provision but still doubted? • Asked for guidance but resisted obedience? • Called something “wisdom” when it was actually fear? Fear can sound responsible. It can sound cautious. It can even sound spiritual. But when fear leads us away from trust and obedience, it becomes unbelief. Miracles Don't Automatically Produce Trust It's easy to think, “If God would just move in a big way, I'd never doubt again.” But the Israelites saw miracle after miracle—and still complained. External signs don't automatically create internal surrender. Trust is formed in daily obedience, not dramatic moments. You can witness faithfulness and still grumble. You can experience provision and still resist. The heart posture matters. A Simple Framework for God's Will (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18) Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances. This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Notice how opposite this is from the Israelites' response. Instead of rejoicing, they complained. Instead of praying, they rebelled. Instead of giving thanks, they longed for what enslaved them. Imagine if they had said: “Lord, we're scared. But we remember what You've done. We trust You.” Fear may have remained. But rebellion would not have. Gratitude doesn't erase difficulty. It anchors your heart while you move forward. Time-Stamped Highlights 00:00 – Feeling delivered but not fully free 01:26 – Why God didn't lead Israel the shortest route 02:19 – Spying out the Promised Land 03:44 – Joshua and Caleb's response of faith 05:11 – The cost of hardened unbelief 06:06 – God's protective detours 07:35 – Hebrews 3 and the warning against hardened hearts 10:25 – Personal reflection: where might fear be guiding me? 11:25 – Why miracles don't guarantee obedience 11:54 – A simple picture of God's will 14:21 – Using this story as a mirror, not just history Key Takeaways • God's detours may be protection, not punishment. • Fear is human. Unbelief is a choice. • Being delivered doesn't mean your mindset has fully shifted. • Gratitude and prayer protect your heart from drifting. • Obedience often requires moving forward while still feeling afraid. Pause and ask yourself: Where might fear be disguising itself as wisdom in my life? What has God already shown me that I'm hesitating to trust? What would quiet, faithful obedience look like today? If You're Feeling Stuck If this episode stirred something in you, you may not need more information—you may need clarity. The More Energy & Peace Session is a private, 60-minute, faith-centered conversation where we: • Identify what may be draining your energy • Clarify what's creating frustration or indecision • Map out wise, grounded next steps No overwhelm. In a world swirling with uncertainty and global chaos, Proverbs 21 arrives as a timely anchor for our souls. This passage reminds us of a fundamental truth that can transform our anxiety into peace: God rules over rulers. The opening verse declares that the king's heart is like a stream of water in the Lord's hand, turned wherever He wills. No political upheaval, no international crisis, no earthly authority operates outside God's sovereign control. While we may have vastly different opinions about current events, while confusion and frustration may tempt us to lose focus, we are called to remember that nothing catches God off guard. He has read the end of the book, and He wins. This doesn't mean we live with reckless abandonment or ignore the world around us, but it does mean we refuse to let global distractions pull us away from our mission of making disciples where we live, work, and play. The passage also confronts our tendency to justify our own actions, reminding us that while every way seems right in our own eyes, the Lord weighs the heart. We cannot fool God with partial obedience or self-serving rationalizations. As we face uncertain times ahead, this chapter calls us to trust in God's perfect justice, His unfailing mercy, and His absolute sovereignty over every nation, every leader, and every circumstance we encounter.Sermon Notes – Proverbs 21 & God's Sovereignty  --------------------------------  DETAILED NOTES  --------------------------------  I. God Rules Over Rulers (Prov. 21:1)  - “The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”  - In a world full of information, conflict, and confusion, nothing is outside God's control.  - Definition of God's sovereignty:   God's absolute and kingly authority whereby he not only has the right to rule over all creation, but actively governs and accomplishes all things according to his wise and holy will, including the outworking of salvation history.  - God is sovereign over:   - Kings, presidents, and rulers   - Nations and wars   - History and salvation  - This sovereignty doesn't excuse reckless living but produces peace and confidence in God's plan.  - Revelation and Daniel affirm God's control and final victory (Dan. 2:21; 4:35).  - Satan's tactic: use global chaos to distract the church from its mission—making disciples where we live, work, and play.  II. God Weighs the Heart (Prov. 21:2)  - “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.”  - We are skilled at self-justification; feelings and perceptions can lie.  - Outward obedience is not the same as inward submission.  - God is not impressed with appearances (1 Sam. 16:7).  - He searches the heart and tests the mind (Jer. 17:10).  - Many surrounding verses reinforce this:   - v.5: Haste leads to poverty.   - v.6: Ill-gotten gain is a deadly trap.   - v.8: The guilty way is crooked; the pure walk uprightly.   - v.9, 19: Wise living affects the peace of our homes.  III. Mercy, Justice, and Consequences (Prov. 21:10, 12, 18)  - v.10: “The soul of the wicked desires evil…” – sin is not neutral; it loves what harms.  - v.12: God observes the wicked and brings them down. Nothing escapes His notice.  - v.18: “The wicked is a ransom for the righteous…” – God will ultimately reverse wrongs and vindicate His people.  - Choices have consequences; justice is certain (Rom. 2:5–11).  - God shows no partiality; He will judge according to works.  IV. God's Sovereignty Rules (Prov. 21:30–31)  - v.30: “No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord.”  - v.31: “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.”  - Human planning, power, and strategy are real—but not ultimate.  - Job 42:2; Isa. 14:27; Eph. 1:11; Rom. 11:33–36: God's purposes cannot be thwarted; His ways are beyond our comprehension, yet absolutely sure.  - This should give deep peace in uncertain, turbulent times.  --------------------------------  PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS  --------------------------------  1. **Respond to Global Events with Faith, Not Panic**    - Stay informed, but don't be consumed.    - Let God's sovereignty shape your news intake, social media habits, and conversations.  2. **Stay on Mission**    - Don't let world chaos distract you from making disciples.    - Ask: “How can I be faithful where I live, work, and play today?”  3. **Invite God to Weigh Your Heart**    - Pray Psalm 139:23–24 style prayers: “Search me, O God…”    - Ask where you might be justifying disobedience or compromise.  4. **Take Sin and Consequences Seriously**    - Teach and model that choices have real outcomes (for yourself, your family).    - Repent quickly; don't “store up wrath” (Rom. 2:5).  5. **Rest in God's Final Victory**    - When you feel fearful, meditate on Prov. 21:30–31 and Rom. 11:33–36.    - Anchor your hope in Christ's return and ultimate justice.  --------------------------------  DISCUSSION QUESTIONS  --------------------------------  1. How does Proverbs 21:1 practically change the way you view elections, wars, and world leaders?  2. Where do you feel most tempted to let global events distract you from everyday discipleship?  3. Can you identify a time when you “felt right” but later realized you were just justifying yourself (Prov. 21:2)? What did God show you?  4. In what areas of life do you tend to forget that choices have consequences before God?  5. Which verse in Proverbs 21 (or in Romans 11:33–36) most encourages you right now, and why?

Leadership rises and falls on the decisions you make — and for many Christian women, decision-making is one of the most exhausting parts of leadership. In this episode, we turn to the book of Proverbs to uncover timeless, practical wisdom for making decisions with clarity, confidence, and spiritual steadiness — even when the pressure is high and the fear of getting it wrong feels heavy. Rather than relying on confidence alone, Proverbs teaches us how to think like a wise leader, so you can make decisions rooted in truth, discernment, and trust in God. In this episode, you'll discover: why decision-making feels so heavy for many Christian women in leadership how Proverbs reframes wisdom as posture, not perfection the difference between seeking counsel and seeking consensus how to check your motives before making a decision and how to move forward confidently after you've made a wise choice — without second-guessing yourself This episode is especially for you if you tend to overthink decisions, fear disappointing others, or replay choices long after they've been made. You'll walk away with biblical clarity, renewed confidence, and a calmer, more grounded approach to leadership decisions.

In this episode, Matty A. breaks down why artificial intelligence isn't just a tech trend — it's a systemic force reshaping markets. From warnings by leading financial figures about AI-driven instability to how rapid AI adoption could create market fragility, Matty explains the risks and signals that could precede a major economic disruption. At the same time, he shows why commercial real estate investors with a deep understanding of capital flows, credit cycles, and AI's impact on markets can position themselves to profit while others panic. What You'll Learn• The Risk Side:Leading financial voices are expressing concern that AI-driven trading, model herding, and leveraged bets could amplify market swings and structural instability.Research suggests AI-powered systems interacting with one another may make markets more fragile, potentially worsening downturns or creating rapid sell-offs.Warnings from regulators and economic surveys have highlighted that an AI investment bubble could trigger a broader financial shock under the right conditions.• The Opportunity Side:Investors who understand how AI influences credit, asset pricing, and market psychology can spot dislocations early.Smart CRE investors use disciplined underwriting, scenario planning, and risk management to protect emerging income streams and capitalize on distressed pricing while others retreat.Knowledge of AI's systemic effects gives you an edge — not by joining every trend, but by preparing for volatility and allocating capital where value persists.Key TakeawaysAI's explosion in finance and markets could introduce new vulnerabilities — not because of AI itself, but how the market adopts and amplifies it.A potential crisis doesn't happen because of a single technology — it happens when leverage, optimism, and systemic exposure collide.Savvy CRE investors aren't waiting for certainty — they're watching signals, adjusting risk, and positioning for asymmetric outcomes.Final ThoughtUnderstanding how AI shapes credit, markets, and risk isn't just academic — it's a practical advantage that can protect your wealth and reveal powerful opportunities when others are reacting emotionally.Episode Sponsored By:Discover Financial Millionaire Mindcast Shop: Buy the Rich Life Planner and Get the Wealth-Building Bundle for FREE!
