The mother of an Adelaide high school student who was abused on TikTok says her strong-willed daughter is being worn down by the harassment. Episode 13 – Sensei Dion Risborg – Karate Builds Strong Leaders Sensei Dion – Jindokai Shotokan Karate-do Website https://senseidion.com.au/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Sensei.Dion/ Sensei Dion began his Shotokan Karate journey in 1981, training at a JKA Dojo in Whyalla, South Australia. Throughout the 1980's, Sensei Dion participated in many tournaments, winning numerous State and National Junior events. In 1988, Sensei Dion represented Australia at the JKA World Cup – achieving 2nd place, in the Junior Team Kata event. After moving to Adelaide for work in 1989, Sensei Dion opened the ‘Adelaide Metro Dojo', in the southern suburbs of Adelaide – this Dojo grew to become one of the strongest martial arts clubs in South Australia, with its members winning many State & National Championships. Several members of the Adelaide Metro Dojo also became National Team Members: three of which also gaining medals at the JKA World Cup level. In 2007 Sensei Dion relocated to the northern suburbs of Adelaide and begun teaching karate in Salisbury. This was the beginning of the formation of Jindokai Karate-Do. Since that time, Jindokai Karate-Do has continued to develop and grow; now with more than 160 members, and training at two of Adelaide's northern suburbs best locations – The Denison Centre, in Mawson Lakes, and St Columba College, in Andrews Farm. Throughout this journey, Sensei Dion has trained with many famous Karate Masters, enjoying long-lasting friendships with most of them.
