I don't bring guests on often, but when I do, it's because something really special happened. And this conversation with Jerzy Jung gives you all the juicy, intimate details. Jerzy is a certified Reiki Practitioner, Grief Educator, and Intuitive Animal Reader and she came onto Eros Money Power Podcast after we had the most delicious exchange of offerings: She won a 1:1 VIP Telegram Day with me in The Woman Who Commands, and then I turned around and booked a reading with her for my cat Tahlia. What unfolded between us—the tears, the laughter, the absolutely unhinged wisdom that came through from my cat—felt too damn good not to share with you. This is a hilarious, hot, and deeply moving conversation. From Jersey's behind-the-scenes experience with my Telegram Day, her reason for stepping into my program Edge of Power to the moment Tahlia the cat telephathically requested snacks and offered kinky relationship advice, this episode is equal parts healing and unhinged—in the best possible way. Inside this episode you'll hear… What Jerzy got out of her Telegram Day with me and the one thing she says made the experience even better Why women need spaces where they can reveal the edgy thing without shame The power of Telegram coaching, audio intimacy, and being deeply witnessed by another woman Why Jerzy decided to join Edge of Power this summer and what pushed her over the edge to say yes What it was like being on the receiving end of Jerzy's intuitive animal reading The unexpected things my cat said that had me in tears and both of us laughing hysterically The grief story behind how Jerzy's gifts came online and launched her entire intuitive practice How animals act as spiritual teachers, emotional mirrors, and energetic stabilizers inside the home Why my cat has been trying to escape the house for years…the real reason behind it will genuinely surprise you CONNECT WITH JERZY JUNG If this episode made you want to RUN (not walk!) to book an intuitive reading for yourself, a pet, or a passed loved one, I absolutely 10/10 recommend Jerzy. I will absolutely be booking readings for myself, my dad who passed, and my three other cats. And since Jerzy has another 1:1 VIP Telegram Day with me soon and has entered Edge of Power to own her visibility edges…I have a feeling she's about to pop off online. So get in while her readings are $111 for the summer. More About Jerzy: Jerzy Jung is a certified Reiki Practitioner and Grief Educator who specializes in remote Animal Communication, Intuitive Readings, and Mediumship. Using only a photo of a person or pet, either living or passed, she is able to channel amazing messages to help people increase their self love and confidence, and to help families have closer relationships with their pets. She's also an award-winning musician who loves writing songs that help people feel held and empowered. Find her on Instagram here @thatgirlthattalkstoanimals or at www.thatgirlthattalkstoanimals.com. Being locked up in prison is hard - but often the real test comes when you're released. In part 2 of this discussion, Tahlia Isaac takes Gary inside the raw reality of life in a women's maximum-security facility: 22-hour lockdowns, mothers crying for children they can't reach, Aboriginal matriarchs ripped from their communities, and women imprisoned for nothing more than driving without a licence. Then comes the moment when the doors swing open…to no money, support, or protection. Tahlia argues that the system doesn't need fixing, it needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt, which is exactly what she’s trying to do now through her charity Project:herSELF. Tahlia Isaac sat in a watch house, facing serious criminal charges, with no phone, no money, and a face beaten by her abusive partner. Her lawyer told her she was going to prison. So she set her life on fire. After using drugs recreationally as a teenager, Tahlia quickly fell into a spiral of addiction, toxic relationships, drug dealing, and serious criminal charges. But that's only half the story. In this episode of I Catch Killers, Tahlia challenges everything you think you know about who ends up in prison and why.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What if everything you believe about tax and income was designed to keep you broke?Spoiler: it was.Tahlia Rochelle from The Living Council sits down with Laban for one of those conversations that makes you stare at the ceiling at 2am going "wait... WHAT?"If you've ever had that nagging feeling that the financial system wasn't exactly built with you in mind, buckle up. Turns out you were right. You just didn't have the receipts until now.IN THIS EPISODE:Ever wonder why certain pubs stayed open during COVID while everyone else was padlocked shut and crying into their home brew? There's a reason for that. A very specific, very legal reason. And once you hear it, you can't unhear it.Tahlia breaks down the difference between operating for profit vs. for purpose, why the same dollar gets taxed up to eight times in Australia, and how everyday Australians including teachers, designers, and business owners have quietly restructured their lives using the same tools the elite have always had access to.They just weren't advertising it.KEY CONCEPTS COVERED:For profit vs. for purpose and what it means legally. Private Members Associations and how they actually work in Australia. Jurisdiction explained in a way that finally makes sense. How this applies whether you're punching a clock, running a business, or somewhere in between. And the mindset shift required, plus how long it realistically takes.ABOUT THE LIVING COUNCIL:The Living Council is a private online community for everyday Australians who are done funding a system that was never designed for them. You start with a Clarity Call to see if it's a good fit, because they're not trying to collect warm bodies, they actually care who's in the room.Three ways to get involved once you're in:Done By You. Done With You. Done For You.Pick your speed.LINKS:The Living Council Website: https://ap1.hubs.ly/y0MHWV0Book a Clarity Call: https://ap1.hubs.ly/y0MHZg0ABOUT LABAN:Laban is going through this process himself right now, in real time, with The Living Council. Same as with health, therapeutic nicotine, ultramarathons, and everything else he's thrown himself into headfirst. He learns it, lives it, then shares it from a place of certainty. Send us Fan MailWhat if truth didn't have to feel like a crisis? In this episode of the Picture Love Podcast, I'm exploring what it means to meet truth with kindness, presence, and discernment instead of panic. What began as part of a planned sequence became a real-life lesson in practicing what I preach — and a surprisingly aligned conversation with Tahlia, who returns with story, humor, and wisdom right on time.Together, we explore how truth can become part of the support instead of something to brace against… and why not everything that rises is ours to keep.If something is coming up for you lately, this is your gentle reminder:one kind thought, one present breath, and one honest next step.
Tahlia was born with a complex congenital heart condition requiring three open-heart surgeries and a pacemaker. She was told early on that if she wanted children, sooner would be better than later. After conceiving through IVF, her high-risk pregnancy led to an emergency caesarean at 30 weeks, followed by an intensive 78-day NICU stay with her daughter Sunny.Tahlia's story is one of extraordinary resilience, the power of expressing breast milk as connection, and finding hope in the darkest moments. She shares candidly about the emotional toll of leaving hospital without her baby, the grief of missing ten weeks of pregnancy, and how the NICU community became her lifeline. This episode also highlights the incredible work of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, whose donated equipment - including hospital-grade breast pumps - made such a difference to Tahlia's journey.Today's episode is brought to you by iL Tutto. Interview by Kris PetersLast month, Melbourne's elite vintage rock act, Devil Electric came roaring back with Tahlia, the first single from their upcoming third studio album of the same name. It was their first music in half a decade and what a triumphant return it was.The song was taken from Devil Electric's new album of the same name, which is out now.At its core, Tahlia is an album about fracture and survival, pain, frustration, and relationships breaking under pressure. Uncannily, its themes mirror the years that followed its recording, which only strengthen the emotive undertones of Tahlia. Delivered through soaring vocals, unforgettable hooks, and searing riffs.Balancing heavy rock and doom with a contemporary edge, Tahlia is an album that demands to be felt start to finish. Soaring, immersive, and deeply personal, it marks a powerful chapter for Devil Electric and one well worth the wait. HEAVY sat down with Pierina O'Brien (vocals) on the eve of the albums release to find out more, starting by asking how the general feel is in the Devil Electric camp to finally get it out there."Yeah, amazing," she enthused. "It's been too long coming, I'd say. We've had this album for a while and COVID really impacted our ability to release it, essentially. We wanted to release it much earlier, but here we are. We're finally in the day. I'm so excited. I love this album. I love the songs on it. I hope everyone else loves this album too (laughs)."We ask Pierina to dive deeper into the musical side of the album."It's an interesting question," she measured. "I've had to reflect back on this because... there was sort of this tumultuous period of my life in which I was writing both of these albums - Godless and Talia -, and little did I know it was going to get profoundly worse before it got better (laughs). But yeah, but there was this bookcase in my lounge room and I used to sit in the every night and sort of, you know, tinkering around."I was going through this time sitting in my lounge room and looking at this bookcase, so I wrote a lot of the music around the themes of these different books on the shelf. It sounds so cliche, but it actually was kind of a nice stimulant for me to look at when I'm trying to write lyrics. And so thematically they're quite similar, but I'd say all of the most probably painful songs ended up on Talia."In the full interview, Pierina described Tahlia as a six-song, lyrically dark and personal record; she emphasized her strong attachment to the material and relief at finally releasing it. She noted some songs were written alongside the previous album Godless and highlighted the closing track "Hereafter" as a nine-minute, emotionally difficult piece that ultimately ends on a hopeful note. The discussion moved into track-by-track commentary, with Pip summarizing the tone and themes of "Talia," "Jill and Jack Shit," "Weirdos," "When We Talk About Nothing," and the instrumental "Acid Bath," and naming collaborators involved. They covered the music-video creative process, getting the musical balance correct in the writing process and more.Get your copy of Tahlia: devilelectric.bandcamp.com/album/tahliaBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

Business owner, fitness enthusiast and adventurer Tara Humphrey is a woman of action. As the CEO of a primary care management consultancy, wife and mum of three adolescent girls, life is already a juggling act, but the family have also been forced to adapt to not one but two demanding chronic illnesses in the household. And despite the inevitable challenges, adapt they have - with the help of a whole load of pragmatic organisation, communication, teamwork and a generous dose of fun too. Tara's youngest daughter Tahlia was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on Christmas Day in 2017 at the age of five. Now 12, Tara is balancing steadily letting Tahlia live a little more independently from Mum and Dad, while ensuring she remains safe from the riskier sides of life with type 1 diabetes. In this insightful episode, Tara speaks candidly about the family's experiences - from herself being given a diabetes textbook as her daughter was diagnosed (and tested before Tahlia was allowed home!), feeling like a failure when diabetes technology wasn't working for them, to delegating diabetes appointments to her husband Mark after some frustrating interactions with Tahlia's care team. We also speak about the interesting dichotomy between the experience Tara has as a Mum with multiple personal touch-points with the health system, and someone who also lives and breathes primary care in her professional life.
