This sermon on Luke 9:28-36, Jesus' Transfiguration. While it gives an overview of the entire event at the mountain, it focuses in on the Father's words, "Listen to Him," meaning, listen to Jesus. There are many messages that clamor for our attention. It is essential we hear Jesus' voice above them all, because He is the one proclaiming forgiveness and salvation to us.

NoHoFUMC Pastor Steve Peralta presents his sermon "Christ Revealed" for Transfiguration Sunday March 3, 2019
When Peter witnessed Jesus's Transfiguration, his human mind could not comprehend the mystery before him. He responded with an understandably human impulse, wanting to freeze and contain this holy moment, offering to build three dwelling places (Luke 9:28-36). We, too, might incarcerate ourselves, others, or even God in a dwelling place!

"Transfiguration Sunday" March 6th, 2011 This week, Reverend Martha Ter Kuile preaches on the bible passage in which Jesus goes to a mountaintop, where he allows three apostles to see him transfigured as he speaks to Moses and Elijah. Martha discusses whether modern people can make any sense of this strange vision, particularly in a world where many are post-theistic, no longer believing in God at all.http://www.bloorstreetunited.org/audio/podcasts/sermonMarch62011.mp3
