10 Minutes With God

As the seasons change and spring breaks, the world around us is changing before our eyes.  Similarly, Christians everywhere will soon be celebrating Easter, marking an important moment of change and transformation in that tradition.  Yet Christians aren't the only spiritual group concerned with issues of change.  In this week's meditation, the COS community explores Change and Transformation from a variety of perspectives. 

Spirituality and religion often spend a lot of time identifying "what we believe".   In this episode, the community explores what power their beliefs have on the world around them, using writings from the Dalai Lama and the Gospel of Matthew.

This week, we consider the importance of service to others, using the writings of Sathya Sai Baba and the Gospel of Matthew as a jumping off point.

This week's episode uses the writings of Emily Sell, Richard Feynman, Mashara, and First Corinthians to focus our attention on Love.

This week's "10 Minutes With God" focuses our attention on making peace.  It considers the writings of Gandhi and the Gospel of Matthew to guide our meditation.

Today, the Church of Our Savior visited the Fullerton El Stop in Chicago and offered ashes to busy commuters to start Lent. They also invited them to subscribe to the Ten Minutes With God Podcast, which will launch it's first spiritual meditation this Sunday at www.10MinutesWithGod.com. This episode describes what that will be all about.

Next Wednesday, Lincoln Park's Church of Our Saviour will be providing "Ashes To Go" at the Fullerton El Stop. They hope to help busy commuters begin lent by bringing a quick, ten-second spiritual moment in the world. That day, they will also be launching the "Ten Minutes With God Podcast," so that commuters can have a longer spiritual moment later in the week.
