Become a Relative & send some loveL Marquee, producer, engineer, and self-proclaimed "Unashamed Christ Follower," brings his unique perspective to the podcast, exploring how faith and music production intertwine in today's complex industry landscape. From the first moment I met him in 2017, his charisma and positive energy have been undeniable constants in his approach to both life and music. The conversation dives deep into the technical aspects of music production as L Marquee breaks down his favorite tools—UAD plugins, Logic Pro, Kontakt libraries, and more. But beyond the gear talk, we explore something more profound: the struggle to maintain quality and purpose in an era where streaming has fundamentally changed how music is valued. "When you pay for the cost of one album, you get every song ever, from Mozart to Migos," L Marquee observes, identifying how this economic shift has lowered the stakes for both listeners and creators. What truly sets this discussion apart is the candid examination of faith's role in creative pursuits. Having grown up in the church, L Marquee shares how surrendering his musical ambitions to God transformed his approach from self-serving to service-oriented. This perspective allows him to work with both secular and Christian artists without compromising his values or authenticity. "I'm not necessarily beating people over the head with Christianity," he explains, "but whenever I'm in the studio, that's still what I'm on."The conversation culminates with L Marquee offering two invaluable gems: find fulfillment through serving others with your talents, but establish clear boundaries to prevent being taken advantage of. His balanced approach demonstrates the wisdom gained from twelve years navigating an industry that often pushes artists toward conformity.Whether you're a producer seeking technical insights, an artist exploring how to integrate personal values into your work, or simply someone interested in authentic conversation about creativity and purpose, this episode delivers wisdom that transcends the studio. Matthew 6:1–4 (CSB) 1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward with your Father in heaven. 2 So whenever you give to the poor, don’t sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be applauded by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward. 3 But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. For Video: https://youtu.be/QaqAI-0Q8Ig

Episode: 2025.11.22The Living Full Out Show with Nancy Solari explores how choosing to serve others can lead to lasting purpose and personal healing. Whether it is through mentorship, advocacy, or simply offering your time, acts of service have the power to transform your life and the lives of others Maybe you've been focused on your own challenges and feel disconnected from your sense of direction. Perhaps you're looking for a deeper way to show up in the world. Join Nancy as she shares how When You Prioritize Serving Others, You Will Be Filled with Purpose and Live Full Out. Ultimately, proving how embracing your unique gifts can open unexpected doors and turn painful moments into meaningful impact.  Our first caller, Alexander, a student in a school counseling program, asks how to instill empathy in those he counsels. Nancy encourages him to deepen his understanding of real-life challenges such as disability, grief, and trauma, so he can become a more effective and compassionate counselor. She emphasizes the value of listening, guiding others with relatable examples such as her own, in order to help others uncover their own strength. Tune in to hear how showing up with empathy can spark hope and healing.  Our inspirational guest Dave Crete reveals how Serving Others became his greatest calling. After working in a classified military zone, Dave developed health issues that were later echoed by his fellow veterans—and even their children. What started as a private search for answers led to the discovery of long-buried truths about toxic exposure. Dave turned that pain into purpose by founding The Invisible Enemy Foundation, advocating for veterans who were unknowingly put at risk. Tune in to hear how Dave's journey from silence to advocacy is helping bring justice to those still fighting invisible battles.  Perhaps you're unsure of your next step or feeling disconnected from your purpose. Try leaning into what moves you. Whether it's listening, giving, or standing up for others. Remember, when you lead with service, you uplift the world around you and find clarity and strength within yourself. Purpose is a factor of life that every man knows will improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, we seem to be in an era when purpose is increasingly abysmal in the lives of too many men. Men in all walks and stages of life are floundering around aimlessly, wondering why they're anxious, depressed, and alone. My guest today, Garrett Unclebach, former Navy SEAL, is a man who is intimately familiar with why and how purpose drives men to step up, take charge of their lives, and succeed. We unpack why a man must look beyond himself, how surrendering in certain circumstances could lead you to an incredible place you've never considered, the power of equanimity and how to cultivate it, why being faithful when you have nothing leads to a life of prosperity and abundance, and how to judge what you should be doing and who you should be doing it with. Serving Others: John Graham John Graham shipped out on a freighter to Asia when he was 16, hitchhiked through the Algerian Revolution at 19 and was on the team that made the first ascent of Mt. McKinley's North Wall at 20, a climb so dangerous it's never been repeated. He hitchhiked around the world at 22, working as a correspondent for the Boston Globe in every war he came across.A U.S. Foreign Service Officer for fifteen years, he served in Libya during the 1969 revolution and in one of the most difficult and dangerous areas in Vietnam during the war there.. For three years in the mid-seventies, he was a member of NATO's top-secret Nuclear Planning Group, then served as a foreign policy advisor for Sen. John Glenn. During a posting at the United Nations, however, his life began to turn. He became deeply involved in U.S. human rights initiatives, including the fight against apartheid in South Africa.Still, something was missing. In 1980, a close brush with death aboard a burning cruise ship in a typhoon in the North Pacific forced him to accept a deeper meaning for his life. He found it in 1983, when he became and still works as a leader of the Giraffe Heroes Project, a global nonprofit moving people to stick their necks out for the common good—and giving them the tools to succeedTo learn more about John Graham, visit www.johngraham.orgTo explore Beyond the Crucible resources, including our free Trials-to-Triumphs Self-Assessment, visit beyondthecrucible.com.Enjoy the show? Today, on Karl and Crew, we discussed the importance of helping and serving our brothers and sisters in need. As followers of Christ, we are called to be the hands and feet in God’s mission, and part of that mission is to help and love one another. We turn to Matthew 25:35-40, in which Jesus affirms that serving others is how we ultimately serve Him. Also, in Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV), we are told that we are designed for good works that were prepared by Him. Have you been a servant to others or a servant to yourself? Our special guest, Brandon Stiver, shared his experience serving orphans internationally. Brandon is a leader in global care for children, a professor, and a podcaster, and he has vast experience leading nonprofits based in the U.S. and Tanzania.
