    On this episode of A Sobering Podcast we have Jason Herbie Byerly.  Jason is a wonderful man with a huge heart that commands attention when he walks in a room. Jason lost his son Connor to an overdose in 2022. We discuss the grief and mental health struggles he is currently battling with due to his loss. We talk about societal norms associated with grief and loss and how they can be detrimental to those grieving. Words and actions matter to those grieving as much as those struggling with substance use. Jason appears in A Sobering Story where he talks about Connor at length and what a wonderful young man he was.
