Back to December 2019. Laurens and Stefan continue their journey. Further than they've ever been. Led by Jack Thompson - considered as the most extreme cyclist in the world - the men learn what real suffering is. No Barolo's, no hotels or massages. Even dinner was not guaranteed on this trip. Back to October 2019. Laurens and Stefan continue their journey, but not as professionals. The pro cyclist Laurens ten Dam doesn't exist anymore. At least, no longer for a team, no longer in the peloton and no longer for real. But that doesn't stop him from blasting another 600 kilometers through Italy in his last 3 days as a pro and poor Stefan had to make sure he was in his wheel. However, at the end of the rainbow there is a pot of gold in the shape of Joao. Laurens' manager/friend/counselor who welcomed the men with a good bottle of Chianti and a hot meal. For the last time as a pro, Lau looks back with Joao and Stefan on almost 16 years of professional cycling. About the ambulance where they met and about life after the race.
