For the first episode of “Conversations with the President,” OU President Joseph Harroz, Jr. sat down with Coach Brent Venables. Venables became the 23rd head coach of the University of Oklahoma's football program on December 5th, 2021. Harroz and Venables discuss the pivotal moments before the head coaching job was offered and the electric energy of OU's impromptu pep rally to welcome the Venables family home to Norman. The two go on to discuss the dynamic changes in collegiate athletics, particularly in football, and how Venables' role as a mentor and coach has grown.
