What is the Gospel? That is a big question, and a question most of us can't fully answer. In the second episode of this series, I sat down with Bro. Josh Hardin and tried to tackle that very question. Bro. Hardin is a Texas Bible College graduate and has been teaching Bible studies for over a decade. We had the privilege to sit down with Rev. Nathan Burks and talk about what Modesty in Fitness means to him. Bro. Burks has an extensive background in the fitness industry, he has worked in the industry for many years, and his unique background helped shed light on a topic that can often be overlooked. The conversation branched off into many great topics concerning fitness, topics like: Should Christians be a part of this life? What does it mean for a man to stay modest while working out? How far can Christian men go in the industry before they lose parts of themselves? Rev. "They say you can't do that while staying modest, you cant do HIIT workouts or CrossFit style movements and maintain modesty. I think I've proven them wrong, cause I do it every day and stay modest while I do it." - Sister Monica Cathey, fitness coach and Pastor's wife. We sat down with Sister Cathey and talked about modesty in fitness, and if it is really possible to stay modest while doing some intense workouts. We talked about how she got her start in fitness and how she lost weight after having 4 children. She spoke about how being a Christian doesn't mean you can't accomplish your fitness goals and how you can still maintain a Godly lifestyle while doing it. "We got home and there was no toilet paper, no water, grocery stores were closed. We realized we're going to have to cancel church, and we don't know for how long." Pastor Joshua Cathey sat down and talked about what it was like pastoring through a pandemic, the struggles he went through at the beginning, and how they managed to still have church during a tough time.
