Send us a textTiny recounts the Scotchy Bourbon Boys' action-packed week at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, highlighting distillery tours, bottle releases, and unforgettable experiences. The team captured professional-quality content throughout the festival while collecting exceptional bourbon.• Pre-festival activities included podcasting at Neely Family Distillery and hosting a fan meetup at Revival Vintage Spirits• Acquired a 1946 Dowling Deluxe Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (distilled in 1938) from Revival• Visited numerous distilleries including Town Branch, Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, and Old Carter• Organized a bus tour featuring stops at Evan Williams, the Pendennis Club, and Old Louisville Whiskey Company• Participated in a Maker's Mark Private Selection despite a power outage from a lightning strike• CT heroically rescued a young woman from an overturned car during their travels• Jim Beam "saved the festival" by ensuring enough special releases for general admission attendees• Acquired bottles including Knob Creek 21, Booker's Reserve, Hardin's Creek expressions, and festival-exclusive picksJoin us next Tuesday when we'll announce our Christmas party, the Crystal Glencairn tasting, new membership packages, and the pre-sale of our Maker's Mark Private Select. What happens when you combine Kentucky's biggest bourbon celebration with the Scotchy Bourbon Boys' passion for capturing authentic whiskey experiences? An unforgettable week filled with rare tastings, exclusive access, and unexpected adventures. Our journey began days before the official Kentucky Bourbon Festival, with an ambitious itinerary that included podcasting with Rebecca Neely in their speakeasy, hosting fans at Revival Vintage Spirits, and acquiring a truly historic bourbon – a 1946 Dowling Deluxe distilled in 1938. Each day brought new discoveries as we visited Town Branch, Jim Beam, Whiskey Thief, and numerous other distilleries, capturing professional-quality content while immersing ourselves in Kentucky's bourbon culture. The centerpiece of our pre-festival activities was our curated bus tour, taking whiskey enthusiasts to legendary Louisville destinations including the Evan Williams Experience, the historic Pendennis Club (birthplace of the Old Fashioned), Old Carter, and Old Louisville Whiskey Company. Walter Zausch's extraordinary hospitality at the Pendennis Club – featuring custom Old Fashioneds and a 25-year Derby bottle – exemplified the personal connections that make bourbon culture so special.Among the most memorable experiences was participating in a Maker's Mark Private Selection despite the distillery suffering a power outage from a lightning strike. Selecting staves by natural light in the lakehouse created an atmosphere connecting us to bourbon's pre-industrial roots, resulting in a selection that perfectly accentuates the whiskey's creme brulee and caramel notes. The festival itself revealed the growing intensity of bottle hunting, with some enthusiasts waiting hours without success. However, Jim Beam's generous allocation of special releases – including Knob Creek 21, Booker's Reserve 2025, and three Hardin's Creek expressions – ensured even general admission attendees could secure remarkable bottles.Beyond the planned events, we experienced an unexpected moment of heroism when CT rescued a young woman from an overturned vehicle – a powerful remi Add for SOFL If You Have GohstsSupport the showhttps://www.scotchybourbonboys.com The Scotchy bourbon Boys are #3 in Feedspots Top 60 whiskey podcasts in the world https://podcast.feedspot.com/whiskey_podcasts/

Tamar Sometimes a story carries such weight that it leaves us speechless. This week's campfire story is one of these stories. Tamar was a daughter of King David, but her half-brother destroyed her life. She was helpless, voiceless, and humiliated. So many people live with this terrible reality every day. Rather than ignoring these stories, we can learn to listen, grieve and change. We all have voices and privilege we can use to help those around us who are helpless and powerless. Yes, it means doing difficult things. Yes, it means having uncomfortable conversations. But ultimately when we speak up for those in need, God steps in and changes everything. God ultimately creates beauty out of brokenness, and sometimes God uses us to make that happen. Warning: This sermon deals with sexual violence and may be upsetting to some. This week on Chill Filtered, Cole and Bryan pour something extra special from the James B. Beam Distillery: Hardin's Creek Jacob's Well (Second Release). At over 17 years old, this whiskey has the boys intrigued as they taste it for the very first time. Before sipping, they catch up on Cole's recent vacation, Bryan's daughter not quite ready to walk it up, and dive into a little background on Jacob Beam himself. On Whiskey World News, Bryan reads about Buffalo Trace Distillery adding a restaurant to their Frankfort site. And on What Whiskey Would You Choose?, Bryan poses the question: Buffalo Trace or Jack Daniel's — which distillery do you pick? A rare pour, family stories, bourbon history, and a major distillery showdown — it's all here.

The classes and videos take an approach that all can not only understand, but learn from without complicating things. He started foraging in 2008 and since then has covered thousands of miles on foot foraging and learning plants in his state of Indiana. Josh often spends 40 or more hours a week in nature and loves to encourage others to connect with nature and themselves. He has worked with girl scout troops, boy scout troops, and conservation societies in his state. The connection with nature goes deep as he has healed himself from depression and controlled a lifelong struggle with it and suicidal thoughts by connecting with nature in unconventional ways. He loves giving thanks to nature and embraces the title of “Tree Hugger,” challenging the idea that being called a “Tree Hugger” is a bad thing. His approach to teaching is down to earth and often times will include some light humor and references to popular media as a way to bring us all together. His Youtube channel and business is named after his favorite plant, Trillium, because of the trinity of leaves representing healthful Mind, Soul, and Nature. Send us a textWhat does it take to build a high school baseball powerhouse ranked #1 in Arkansas and among the top 25 programs nationally? Coach Leighton Hardin of Conway High School pulls back the curtain on his championship formula. The secret to Conway's "Wampus Cats" success starts with three non-negotiable values: team, toughness, and competitiveness. Coach Hardin demonstrates how following legendary coaches throughout his career prepared him to establish his own winning culture while respecting program traditions. You'll discover Conway's innovative practice approach, including their game-changing pregame throwing routine that ensures players are mentally and physically ready from the first pitch. Hardin explains why practicing above game speed prepares his team for any situation they'll face in competition.Perhaps most fascinating is how Conway adapted when faced with physical limitations. Without power hitters throughout the lineup, Harden implemented a specialized pitching strategy and small-ball approach that led to a state championship with an undersized team. His emphasis on two-strike hitting and situational baseball provides a masterclass in maximizing team strengths. The mental side of baseball receives special attention as Coach Hardin shares his refreshing perspective on failure: "There was one perfect human that lived. It was about 2,000 years ago and that's none of us." This honest approach creates an environment where players develop resilience rather than fear of mistakes.Beyond the diamond, Harden reveals his ultimate goal of developing "productive members of society, great husbands, great fathers" – demonstrating why Conway's success transcends wins and losses. Whether you coach baseball or simply appreciate leadership excellence, this conversation delivers practical wisdom you can apply immediately.Ready to transform your coaching approach? For the first time ever we brought competitors together to talk about how the race happened. Ok, when it comes to Will Hardin and Clever Martinez, it is hard to call either of them competitors, they are more like friends who want to push each other's physical and mental limits to the max. Either way, it is great to get the inside view from the guys who won the race.
