Dreaming Earth

This is the third part of my Advent series, where I'm taking my listeners on a small retreat-like journey each week, to a small convent in Wales, where I'm making an Advent sculpture. This is for anyone who needs to slow Christmas down, and to feel something sacred happening.

So here's week Two of Advent, a little series of episodes leading up to Christmas for anyone who is looking for sacred spaces at this time of year... I hope you like it :)

This episode is some company for those who, like me, find our cultural Christmas bizarrely empty of the sacred... Please come and join me for the four weeks of advent (hopefully, if I can manage one episode a week for a bit!) and we can wait together in the dark, and the silence, for Winter Solstice, and the return of the Sun.

It's been a while since I recorded an episode... ! But I did today, and in this episode I share part of a dream which really illustrates how feelings that need to be FELT can arise in dream images. I hope you like it, I hope it makes you interested in your own images!

I've made a slightly different episode today, just a bit more depth around the WHY of dreamwork, the WHY for me anyway .... I've also created for you, my own fully guided version of an ancient, body based prayer, I hope you love it. Let me know what you think :)

So this episode is recorded by a fast flowing river, and although I forgot my head phones, you CAN hear it, as well as me - which I'm pleased about ! We make an encounter with The Boy in this Dream fragment, and he leads us off the beaten path, onto the path of desire. See what it brings up for you, and thankyou, as always, for listening.

SO.... today I take my Dream outside, and attempt to co create with my body, the Dream, and the immediate landscape - alongside everything alive there. Together ( me, the land, the wind, the birds) we explore this Dream, the feelings of smallness and stifled-ness we can feel in our lives, and end up with a Waking Dream that brings back huge heart, freedom and belonging to the body - please join us !!

So here we are again, a couple of days before the Full Moon, with a Dream about a Hedge, to bring us into the Body, making the connection that if we can't listen to the voice of the Body, we cannot possibly learn to listen to the voice of the Planet. And that's why we're all here, right? Non human teachers.... There's also a Waking Dream at the end of the recording, to encourage this connection - I hope you can feel into it :)

So I haven't recorded an episode of the podcast for a couple for weeks, it needed to feel right... But the Dream I had last night invited me to do one today. I am going with the Dreams, and using them as my guide! I hope something jumps out for you from the Dreams I bring in this episode. They are for all of us...

As the structure of the Dreaming Earth podcast takes shape, the Dream points in a slightly new direction...

On this August Full Moon, an invitation from a nut laden Beech to truly encounter life, some of the different ways and reasons why we don't, and a Waking Dream created to bring this to the body. I hope you like it....

Ahhh, today felt big! So the Dream that came through from the mixed grasses, was all to do with masculine and feminine, light and light, day and night, sun and moon, yang and yin - whatever polarities you like... This Dream spoke to me of the cooperation and trust needed between these elements, internally externally, for the good of us all - humans, plants, animals - the whole planet... A subject rather too big for a little podcast, but I offer this episode as a place to start.

This weeks episode come from under a Hazel tree in the pouring rain... There is a Dream from Fireweed, otherwise known as Rosebay Willowherb, and a Waking Dream from me. There's also a recipe for Ivan Chai, a tea that I've made this week from fermented Fireweed leaves and flowers. I hope you enjoy !

Dreaming Earth is still taking shape...! But this episode I've chosen to go with the pull to speak the whole Dream to you, as I received it. I also give you my own Waking Dream, which is specially written to bring some of that imagery into the body as you listen. "Images within us" is where we're going with this - from the Dream which I've requested from a source other than human, and also from my own Waking Dream creation.
