Hear stories about farm sanctuaries around the world. Our aim is to interview farm sanctuary owners in the future so they can share their experiences.
Spoilers in this episode! I watched a short documentary on the app Waterbear. It's about the life of pigs in farrowing crates at factory farms. Something animal activists throughout the world have fought hard against, but to little avail. Here are my thoughts. Next episode will be a more in-depth exploration of pigs as well as their connection to humans. My Links Follow me on IG: farm_sanctuary_tales If you want to support my work: Paypal

Are we living up to the meaning of humane? Non-vegans use the word all the time, but it feels hollow when they do so. Here's a short episode on my thoughts. The story of South America's first farm sanctuary. Hear about Juliana's journey to running a safe haven for animals and about a couple of the residents. She went vegetarian at a very young age realizing the harm we have been doing to the planet and animals quite early in life. She would later go vegan and improve the lives of hundreds of animals. Well, we are entering 2022 fur is still a fashion statement. While countries are banning fur farming they're not outright banning fur, but it is a step in the right direction. Arctic foxes can travel up to 100 miles per day. They innately want to dig and pounce, especially when hunting. These things are impossible when they are crammed into tiny cages, fed to morbid obesity, given no freedom, and tortured to death all while staring into the forests where they should live free. We call ourselves the most intelligent creatures on Earth and say things are humane or inhumane but we are by far the least humane creatures to walk on the planet. Others take exactly what they need while our lust for things seems insatiable. We have to do better. IG: farm_sanctuary_tales To support the channel: Paypal
Double-check the spelling there and you'll see I'm not talking about the wonderfully relaxing video game, Animal Crossing, with the nicest capitalist in the world. This episode is based on an article in The Guardian about how different countries are helping animals get to the other side of the road. I think any animal lover will enjoy this episode. If you really want to help the animals, please consider going vegan! Building bridges isn't enough, but it's a start. Today we talk about a study done by Faunalytics at the request of Farm Sanctuary to find out if they are, in fact, changing hearts and minds. Does Farm Sanctuary have the right formula to get people to join the green side? How many people go vegetarian or full-fledged vegan after visiting? Find out by listening to some of the results. Check out my IG to see some statistics from the study as well as some cute animals along the way. Source: Faunalytics Study Instagram: Farm_Sanctuary_Tales
My fellow vegans and vegetarians likely know what they are but there are some who are unsure. In this episode, I speak in more detail about what farm sanctuaries are, why they exist, and what they do. Check us out on Instagram for more learning, cute animals, and to find out more about my comic book series for children, Farm Sanctuary Tales. Also, meet the characters from my first book, Grace the Grumpy Pig, many of whom will have their own books. Welcome! This is just me blathering about what I'll be talking about and why it interests me. To start it will be about farm sanctuaries, animal rights, veganism/vegetarianism and I'm hoping to expand to interviews with farm sanctuary owners and employees, animal rights activists, and other like-minded folks. Check out my Instagram for more about veganism, animal rights, studies around both, my children's comic book, and the podcast.
