The 2022 Figure Skating World Championships crowned 4 new world champions last week: Shoma Uno, Kaori Sakamoto, Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, and Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. Others also made history for their countries. Loena Hendrickx won Belgium's first world figure skating medal, while Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara won Japan's first even world pairs medal. French ice dancers Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron set 3 new world records to win the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games. Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov come back from two second place finishes behind the Americans in the Team Event to win the Silver medal.
