Whether you're considering adding a membership program to your business or already have one and want to grow it, this episode is for you. On the show today, I want to share with you a case study of how Hallie Sherman, one of my Accelerator students, added a membership to her business and knocked it out of the park in her first launch. Hallie welcomed almost 500 members in the first 45 days and she did primarily by listening and taking note of what her existing audiences were asking for. When you listen to the episode, there are a few key takeaways I want you to listen for that led to such a successful release of the program... Research what your customers want and find the gap that's in your industry. Take advantage of resources you already have. Keep listening to feedback and create content based on it. Hallie's success didn't involve any elaborate plan or fancy tools. It was simply asking and constantly creating content based on the needs of the clients (many things we discuss inside of Accelerator) Check out the timestamps below if you want to jump to a specific area of the conversation as we deep dive into the super successful launch of her brand new membership... Discussion Points In Today's Episode: 0:00 Introduction 1:31 About Hallie Sherman 6:14 What drives her to be an online business owner and speech language pathologist 8:45 How spending less time on your business helps it grow 11:03 Giving a different kind of value to customers 14:52 Ask your team what they need to create your new resource 17:53 The importance of listening to your audience 20:54 Benefits of building your trust 24:48 The system in place 27:01 What did the launch look like? 30:35 If people buy when you go live, keep doing that 34:26 What made the membership special? 35:57 Custom platforms aren't always necessary Are you a course creator or online coach who's already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you're ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? Many of us have had a moment in our lives that define us as people and as servants of God—and sometimes that moment comes at a fork in the road. Which path will you take? The one you've worked hard for and the world tells you you should want? Or the one God wants you to take? It's almost guaranteed that every time you decide to take the Lord's path, you will encounter mountains of blessings that you'd never have expected. ABC News reporter Paula Faris was at the height of her career when she faced a devastating series of tragedies that forced her to slow down and recognize that God was calling her to go in another direction. Former NFL lineman Jason Brown had worked hard to make his way up the football ladder, eventually becoming the highest-paid center in the sport. It seemed he had everything he wanted, but the luxurious lifestyle he pursued took his focus off his family and marriage which began to suffer, causing him to reassess what he really wanted out of life. But when we left church and came back home, you know, there was no true mission. There was no true obedience to Christ.” - Jason Brown “Because of my success and my pride in sports and football, it developed an arrogance that I thought I was strong enough and smart enough to be in control and to fight hard enough in my flesh and figure this thing out. How far would you go to save a few bucks, or even pennies? Mom always said all things in moderation, but it seems like these super-savers didn't get the memo. Remember, you can always put your energy into increasing your revenue streams, but playing the extreme frugality game quickly steps into the realm of diminishing returns. This round-table originally aired in 2018, but espcially after our last year, the push for extreme frugality could return to the forefront. You can read our (mostly) original show notes below: Being financially prudent is one thing, but when does saving money cross the line into being extremely, and possibly even grossly, frugal? Helping us answer these questions are today's special guests: from the Fiery Millennials blog, we welcome Gwen Mertz; and from this here podcast, we welcome our very own OG and Taylor. (2021 note: On this show's original run Gwen was still co-hosting the Fire Drill podcast, and Taylor didn't join the Basement until about 18 months later. Pretty cool.) Halfway through the show we'll take a little break to talk to Jason Brown from Tally. Making the decision to get on the road to financial freedom is a good one, and paying off credit cards and debt can be a major road block. We'll sit down with Jason doing our FinTech segment and see just how his company is setting out to help people climb out of debt. And of course, we'll still have take some time to throw out the Haven Life Line to Joe, who wants to retire in the next few years. There's just one problem: Joe has no goals for retirement life. Would love your opinions on fruit consumption. 18:25 - I've been programming my own lifting/running training for a couple years and it was so great to hear Jason Brown talk about being happy with his physique, be able to lift and run a 5k at all times, because that's basically my goal! I love lifting and the way it makes me feel and look but racing feeds my soul. It's been difficult trying to do them all, especially because I want to be able to do them all year round! Do you have any other advice or resources for lifting and running? (5k up to half marathons, occasionally full marathons) I know you're not a fan of running, which I'm not really either on a daily basis except for the races! 28:10 - Tips for people overwhelmed with all the information out there but wants to learn to be a coach? 34:45 - Unfiltered opinion of herbalife products? 45:20 - Where did you learn/get your knowledge about training? 53:00 - If someone had been chronically under eating and comes to you for nutrition and you bring them back to maintenance , how long do you keep them at maintenance calories before your allow them to go into a fat loss phase (calorie deficit).... specifically if this person has weight to lose 15+ lbs ---- Head over to http://buylegion.com/boomboom enter code boom boom at checkout to save 20%, start earning loyalty points, and supplementing with the top supplement company on the market. Show # 244 - Coffee with Rich | Gulf War Veteran Jason Brown On this Special Coffee with Rich, we will look back on the 30th anniversary of the Gulf War. To do this, we will be joined by Jason Brown. Jason is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served from August of 1989 through July of 1993. During those four years, he didn't miss much. Chronologically, he participated in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, the military response to the 1992 L.A. Riots, he was attached to Joint Task Force North (then JTF-6) for operations on our southern border, and he was involved in the early months of Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. While he had several opportunities to make an impact in a short military career, it would ultimately be an engagement in Umm Hjul during Desert Storm, chronicled by David Morris in the book “Storm on the Horizon”, that would have the longest impact on him. After the Marine Corps, Jason cultivated a career in Information Technology, helped build a small but wonderful family, and returned to his love for shooting as both competitor and instructor. He lives in Missouri with his wife and two children, and can often be found chasing after the top spot in IDPA matches around the Midwest. Former National Football League player Jason Brown was, at one time, the NFL's highest-paid player. But God called him to take a leap of faith and leave his luxurious lifestyle. Find out in this episode with host Nadia Joy Schult how he, his wife and family left their comfortable way of life and why.
Today's conversation is one of my absolute favorites. Jason Brown is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and stock market educator who shares his strategies for investing through The Brown Report on Youtube. In a relatively short amount of time Jason grew his business from startup to thriving company but what's way more interesting is how Jason thinks about money and giving back. I'm sure you'll walk away deeply touched and thinking differently about money and being of service to others as a result of our conversation.
Find out how to trade your plans for a life that matters. Jason Brown was the highest-paid center in the NFL. He made millions every year and lived in luxury. But nine years ago he traded in his cleats and the multi-million dollar contract to buy a farm. They thought he was crazy. Hear how bad and how good things got on Chris Fabry Live.
Jason has a Masters of Science degree in Exercise Physiology, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and is a Certified Special Strengths Coach with Westside Barbell. He regularly writes for T-Nation.com, EliteFTS.com, and serves as a presenter with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Add to that, Jason is a Nutrition Client of Cody's and Cody's Trainer! So these two know each other well and the conversation shows that.
