Susan is a teacher and a New York Times bestselling author of nine books including The Hard Questions and The Four Noble Truths of Love. She teaches workshops and speaks on mindfulness, innovation, communication, relationships, and creativity. Susan's Open Heart Project is the largest virtual mindfulness community in the world. Michael and Susan have both spent many years studying Buddhism, and they occasionally use some terms that might be unfamiliar: Sangha — Buddhist community Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, and Vajrapani' — three personifications of Buddhist ideals: wisdom, compassion, and bravery Warrior — in Tibetan Buddhist traditions, one who combats the universal enemy: self-ignorance Dharma — Buddhist teachings Taking Your Seat — committing to practice of meditation and the path toward enlightenment The View — seeing the world clearly as it is, as opposed to seeing it through the filter of our habitual patterns Susan also mentions the Enneagram, which is a model of the human psyche mapped out into 9 interconnected personality types.
