A lot has transpired since we last recorded an episode so we had to do a brief recap of our First Annual MTD Basketball Tournament on August 7th, as well as give an update on Colin's transition into the real world and Brendan now a college student in Boston.Our latest clothing drop featured a hoodie that reads "Authentic not Perfect". Colin and Brendan had to hop back on the pod to talk about the NBA Finals, which shift to Boston for Game 3. We discuss the difficulty of guarding Golden State's potent offense, Jayson Tatum's production and the clear chess match between the teams. Let it be known that Brendan did in fact predict this finals matchup and his prediction of Boston in 7 still stands. In Episode 5, Colin reflects on a very fruitful basketball career as he finished his final season with WPI in the Elite 8 two weeks ago. Brendan embarked on a Civil Rights Trip with his peers through Atlanta, Birmingham, Montgomery and Selma where he interacted with many strong and beautiful people including one of the Original Freedom Riders, Charles Persons. He also had dinner with Carolyn Maull McKinstry who is an author and philanthropist that grew up in Birmingham, AL and was inside of the Church during the 16th Baptist St. Church Bombings in 1963. The two discuss the advantages of being away from your phone and how productive you can be without its presence. Brendan's experience was transformative and he discusses what it meant to him and the lessons that he took away from the trip.
