This is The Digital Story Podcast 1,056, June 16, 2026. Today's theme is, "Nighttime Is the Right Time for Smartphone Photography" I'm Derrick Story. Smartphones are good at a lots of things. And they are really good at night photography. And when you want to escape the hot, contrasty glare of summer days, let the evening roll in, grab your phone, and go make some stunning pictures. I'll share my favorite tips for just that on today's TDS Photography Podcast. I hope you enjoy the show. Camera. Go to Prioritize Faster Shooting and toggle it off. We want the best image quality possible. Next, learn how to turn on Night Mode Max by long-pressing the Moon icon at the top of the Camera app. This allows for a longer exposure, up to 30 seconds, depending on how steady the camera is. There is a tradeoff, however. In Night Mode the resolution is set to 12MP, even on new iPhones such as the 17 Pro. Techniques for Shooting in Night Mode Keep hands as steady as possible. Widen your stance and use two hands to grip the phone and keep them close to the body. Brace your body against a solid surface. Gently press the shutter button. Take multiple photos instead of just one. Then you can choose the best. Use the Main Camera (1X) because of fast aperture. Pro RAW + Night Mode for maximum edibility. One of the great things about nighttime photography with a smartphone is that you don't attract attention to yourself like you would using a mirrorless camera on a tripod. You can go about your business unnoticed and unbothered. Yet, you can come away with stunning shots. If you are in a situation where you feel comfortable setting up a tripod, then shooting in RAW with Night Mode Max can provide exposures up to 30 seconds with incredible detail and color. Night photography is a great way to separate your images from everyday snapshots. Whether you're exploring new territory on vacation, or just feeling like getting out in your hometown stomping grounds, these techniques will render your world in a whole different light. What if you woke up one morning, checked your stats, and realized your sales were up 521%...without running a single ad? That's exactly what happened to Wendy Mitchell, a botanical artist who went from relying on festival sales to pay her bills, to building real online sales from her studio in Colorado. Today she's walking us through exactly what she did — and trust me, you can do this too. Here's what you can do to start now:
Episode 1149 This is a special revisit episode of one of our most popular conversations about growth, leadership, and the power of surrounding yourself with the right people. Many successful men reach a point where they realize more information isn't the answer. They've built the business, achieved financial success, and checked many of the boxes they once chased. Yet the next level requires something different. In this episode, Tim Matthews sits down with Arthur Magoulianitis and Andrew "The Gift" to pull back the curtain on The Powerful Man Inner Circle and discuss what happens when ambitious men commit to growth alongside other high performing men. The conversation explores why accountability matters, how the right environment can accelerate personal and professional growth, and what separates men who continue to level up from those who stay stuck doing everything on their own. You'll also hear why some of the most successful men in business still invest heavily in coaching, mentorship, and community. Whether you're focused on your marriage, business, health, or leadership, this episode is a reminder that lasting success rarely happens in isolation. The quality of your results is often tied to the quality of the people you surround yourself with. If you've ever wondered what it looks like when successful men challenge each other, support each other, and refuse to let each other settle, this conversation will give you a glimpse inside that world. If your relationship is missing the connection, trust, respect, or intimacy it once had, get access to The Powerful Man's free training. You'll learn the key patterns that create distance in a marriage and the practical steps you can take to start rebuilding connection today. Today, let's talk about how to counter the rapidly evolving cyber threats facing the transportation industry in this episode with Jaime Lightfoot of Lightfoot Labs and Joe Ohr of the NMFTA! They share the new realities of logistical vulnerabilities, moving beyond abstract ransomware fears to reveal how everyday tools like legacy maintenance software and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) are being weaponized as backdoors into critical transport infrastructure. They also breaks down why fleets cannot afford to play catch-up with sophisticated, state-sponsored cybercriminals who exploit software white-labeling and GPS spoofing to manipulate logbooks or orchestrate strategic cargo theft. From simple wired connections during routine garage service to complex wireless interventions while trucks are actively moving on the highway, this conversation serves as a wakeup call emphasizing that asset protection requires continuous, proactive defensive remediation and a rigorous evaluation of every digital touchpoint in your supply chain! About Jamie Lightfoot Jaime Lightfoot is an independent security researcher, electrical engineer, and full-stack developer with over 12 years of industry experience. She specializes in embedded systems security within heavy trucking, automotive, and other critical infrastructure, helping companies assess vulnerabilities and working with their engineers to fix the gaps. About Joe Ohr Joe Ohr has more than two decades of experience in technical operations, customer success management, customer support, and product support. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™, he plays a pivotal role in helping to advance the industry through digitization, classification, and cybersecurity. Prior to Ohr's role at NMFTA, he served as in numerous engineering and operations positions at Qualcomm and Eaton, and most recently held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations/Customer Experience at Omnitracs. Throughout his career, Ohr has provided strategic guidance, vision, and a roadmap for addressing long-term customer challenges. He has played a key role in accelerating revenue growth and has collaborated closely with IT, product, and engineering teams to foster stronger partnerships with strategic customers and peers. Additionally, Ohr has overseen post sales customer support and service teams, as well as operations, managing a workforce of over 400 individuals. He holds multiple certifications such as CCNA from Cisco and MCSE from Microsoft and earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the Ohio State University. Due to his contributions to the industry, he earned a spot in the Inner Circle in 2015 and 2018 from Qualcomm and Omnitracs.
Most people think the hard part is deciding whether or not to have surgery. But after coaching injured lifters for more than twenty years, Rad and I have found that's often not the hard part at all.The hard part comes afterwards. When you've done the physical therapy. You've had the surgery. You've gone through the recovery. And yet your shoulder, knee, back, or hip still doesn't feel the way you hoped it would. This episode was inspired by a conversation I've been having with a 37-year-old woman from New Jersey who found one of our SLAP tear rehab videos on YouTube. Her story highlights one of the biggest misunderstandings we see around surgery, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery. It's a lesson that has also been reinforced by surgeons we've interviewed on our podcast, including a 22-year veteran orthopedic spine surgeon who eventually cancelled his own surgery after experiencing the benefits of our UMS training. If you're currently considering surgery, recovering from surgery, or wondering why an old injury still isn't behaving the way you'd like it to, I think you'll find this conversation valuable.Because the operation itself may not be the most important part of the recovery process.Click play and I'll explain what I mean.

I want to take you back to where this all started. Before the offers, courses, podcast, launches, and systems, there was a blog, a tiny audience, no email list, and a desire to figure out how to get paid to be myself.Being back in Bali has made me reflect on that journey. Sixteen years ago, I was building from scratch after walking away from a tech startup. I had no real plan, but I had curiosity, a love for storytelling, and a desire to help other women see what was possible. That blog eventually became interviews, an email list, digital products, workshops, courses, global events, and a business that gave me freedom I could barely imagine at the time. This episode is about the real meaning of getting paid to be you. I'm sharing how my first offers came to life, how one blog series became an entire offer ecosystem, why sales while you sleep are not sleazy, and why your business should support your life, not take over it.What You'll Learn:How I built an online business around my voice, experience, and ideasWhy your audience can show you what to create and sell nextHow one offer can grow into ebooks, audio, workshops, courses, and coachingWhy sales while you sleep are really about creating value that keeps workingWhy profit, freedom, and lifestyle matter more than revenue aloneKey Takeaways:Start by paying attention. You do not need a perfect business plan. Sometimes your audience is already telling you what they need. You just have to listen and act.Your lived experience has value. What you have figured out, built, overcome, or tested can help someone who is a few steps behind you.One idea can go a long way.A blog series can become an ebook, a workshop, a course, or a coaching offer. You do not always need a new idea. You may just need a new format.Profit matters more than revenue.Big revenue does not mean much if the business is exhausting, expensive, or barely profitable.Your business should serve your life.Freedom is about building a business that gives you more space, energy, creativity, health, and meaning.Key Resources:Get the 48-Hour Offer Kit to turn your ideas and experience into a clear, sellable offer.Join the Inner Circle for strategic coaching and support to build offers, create more freedom, and grow a business that supports your life.Explore more episodes and resources at lifepilot.co/podcast.And if this episode made you think differently about what you already know, what you could package, or how your business is currently supporting your life, come and tell me. You can find me on Instagram at @nataliesisson or connect with me on LinkedIn, Natalie Sisson.A little reminder before you go: You do not need to become someone else to build a business that works. I AM Beautiful Wild Free: A Guided Affirmation and Meditation Podcast
[Season 7, Episode 106] In this faith-building and empowering episode of the I AM Beautiful Wild Free Podcast, we declare with confidence: I AM Assured and Confident.
In the years following Jeffrey Epstein's death, one of the more disturbing revelations about his compensation fund emerged when a self-identified recruiter — referred to in court documents only as “Jane Doe” — attempted to claim money from it. This woman openly admitted that she had helped Epstein recruit underage girls but simultaneously described herself as a victim, saying she had been sexually abused and trafficked by Epstein for more than a decade. Instead of continuing her federal lawsuit against his estate, she withdrew it and pursued a payout through the Epstein Victims' Compensation Program, a fund specifically intended to compensate those exploited by Epstein's network. The move ignited outrage among other victims and their attorneys, who saw it as a grotesque inversion of justice: a recruiter trying to profit from a fund meant to heal the very wounds she helped inflict. The controversy underscored the moral and legal murk that has long surrounded Epstein's empire. His trafficking operation relied on a pyramid-like system in which victims were sometimes coerced into recruiting others, blurring the line between participant and prey. But many advocates argued that this woman's decade-long role as an active recruiter made her claim fundamentally illegitimate. Though her application highlighted the psychological manipulation and coercion Epstein used to control his circle, critics countered that intent doesn't erase culpability. In the end, the episode became another reminder of how Epstein's network corrupted everything it touched — even the very mechanisms meant to deliver justice to his victims.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

This is not a typical Adelaide Show episode. For the first time in 434 instalments, Steve Davis opens by confessing he’s not sure how many more episodes there will be because something has broken in him. Not in South Australia’s people, whom he loves unreservedly, but in his trust of the state’s governance. What follows is one of the most honest conversations the show has ever hosted. There is no SA Drink of the Week this episode. The mood didn’t call for it. In the Musical Pilgrimage, Steve closes with Australia Day by Steve Davis & The Virtuosos, a song whose thesis turns out to be the quiet heart of everything discussed: that we’ve retreated into our selfish dwellings, stopped sticking our arms over the fence to say hello, and in doing so have left ourselves vulnerable to exactly the kind of politics this episode is about. Running Sheet: Something Has Broken: SA Politics, the Park Lands, and the Politics of Distraction 00:00:00 Intro Introduction 00:00:00 SA Drink Of The Week There is no SA Drink Of The Week this week. 00:03:15 David Olney and Steve Davis Steve opens by describing where he is: not disconnected from South Australia’s people, but from its governance. He says he is earnestly worried, and that there is no performative aspect to the episode. To stress-test his thinking and provide context, he has invited back David Olney, whose academic background covers history, international politics, international security, and complex problem-solving. David notes that colleagues once told him he thought more like a psychologist or neurologist than a political scientist, always searching for the human motivation beneath structural problems. David introduces the work of political theorist Ted Robert Gurr, who studied the conditions preceding revolution across different periods of history. Gurr found two sequential thresholds: first, when people stop believing things will get better; and second, when they become convinced things are actively getting worse. Steve places himself at Gurr’s second threshold, citing the government’s handling of the algal bloom, a secret tower deal at peppercorn rent, tree clearing in the Park Lands for a golf event, and the prospect of further clearing for a motorcycle race. His concern is not with the events or sports themselves but with the irreversible damage to trees that Tourism SA uses to represent Adelaide. Two further things have deepened Steve’s despair. The first is what he reads as a coordinated flood of upbeat ministerial social media videos that do not address the Park Lands issue at all. He sees it as a tactic borrowed from Trump’s playbook. The second is the government’s launch of a media literacy tool to help students decode messaging, at the same time as the government itself, in Steve’s view, avoids transparency, attacks critics personally rather than engaging with their arguments, and operates through private deals. David draws on Rebecca Costa’s book The Watchman’s Rattle to frame this: Costa observed that as civilisations struggle to deal with significant problems, political attention shifts to small and peripheral ones. David’s illustration from literature is the war in Gulliver’s Travels fought over which end of a boiled egg to crack. Steve recommends the book Angertainment by Ed Koper as a guide to recognising this pattern. He uses Koper’s framing to contrast two dystopian visions: Orwell’s 1984, where repression at least provokes resistance, and Huxley’s Brave New World, where a population entertained into passivity never finds cause to push back. David agrees that Huxley’s version is the more troubling of the two. David then explains neoliberalism at Steve’s request: the economic model adopted across the English-speaking world in the early 1980s under Thatcher, Reagan, and Hawke, which replaced mixed economies with market-driven ones. David argues that the mixed economy model of the postwar decades, while imperfect, delivered stable living standards and could absorb shocks. What replaced it produced private monopolies, underinvestment in infrastructure and services, and a political landscape where both major parties operate within the same economic framework. His summary: in Australia, both parties wear one jackboot and one fluffy slipper. David connects this to the growth of parties like One Nation and Britain’s Reform Party, arguing that voters who have seen no meaningful improvement from either major party are reaching for alternatives, not out of ideological conversion but out of exhaustion. Steve raises a related concern: that the same billionaire interests bankrolling One Nation-type parties have no real incentive to disrupt neoliberalism, which raises questions about where that political energy actually leads. Toward the end of the episode, Steve reads from a reply he has just received from his federal member, written in response to a handwritten letter he sent six weeks earlier about a gas tax. The reply is considered and personal, acknowledging hundreds of individual constituent responses and explaining the member’s position. Steve describes it as a strand still holding, though he is careful not to place too much weight on it. David names two economists whose recent books offer some grounds for thinking a better model is possible: Mariana Mazzucato and Daron Acemoglu. Steve closes by naming David Pocock as an example of what a politician in this era can be, and David adds Barbara Pocock to that list. The episode ends with a brief exchange about what Don Dunstan and Malcolm Fraser might have made of where their respective parties have ended up. The following resources were mentioned during the episode. Books Angertainment by Ed KoperThe Watchman’s Rattle by Rebecca CostaBrave New World by Aldous Huxley1984 by George OrwellAmusing Ourselves to Death by Neil PostmanThe Common Good Economy by Mariana Mazzucato Podcasts The Rest is Politics with Alastair Campbell and Rory StewartThe Rest is Politics US featuring Anthony Scaramucci 00:42:34 Musical Pilgrimage In the Musical Pilgrimage this week we listen to Australia Day by Steve Davis & The Virutalosos. Steve introduces Australia Day as a song exploring how Australia lost the social conditions that made postwar migrant integration work. The central argument is that Italians, Greeks, and Vietnamese newcomers were absorbed into communities partly because people had time and proximity, sticking their arms over fences and saying hello. McMansions, mobile phones, and an economic model built on scarcity and anxiety have eroded that. David adds that prime ministers who romanticised the 1950s as a human ideal were simultaneously promoting the economic model that made those conditions impossible to replicate. Steve writes the songs and uses a virtual session band to produce them, with the hope that a live musician will one day take them further.Support the show: https://theadelaideshow.com.au/listen-or-download-the-podcast/adelaide-in-crowd/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Bobby “RJ” Boyle on Deerfield Beach's Ambassador ClubIn this episode, we're joined by Bobby “RJ” Boyle for a deep dive into his experience building and running the Ambassador Club in Deerfield Beach during the early 1990s.RJ shares the origins of the venue, which grew from a small DJ night into a full live music club that became a key part of the South Florida scene. He reflects on growing up in South Florida surrounded by a wide range of musical influences and walks through how the club evolved in a fully DIY environment, hosting everything from hardcore, punk, and industrial acts to reggae shows that helped define its identity. He also shares stories of local bands, touring acts, and the unpredictable energy that shaped nights at the venue, along with the challenges of running the club and the shifting local music landscape that eventually led to its closure.Today, RJ remains active in music and is also widely recognized in the fishing community, where many people know him outside of his earlier work in the South Florida music scene. This conversation captures one of the first in-depth oral histories of a venue that largely lived on through word of mouth.

Reid sits back down with the We Sound Crazy crew. Joining hosts Philionaire, Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony of Louis York, and Tamone Bacon, the music mogul takes listeners even deeper into the golden eras of his career. In this installment, the conversation turns toward the hitmaking powerhouse that was Island Def Jam, an era Reid highlights as one of his most memorable and competitive chapters. He breaks down the high-stakes environment of his A&R room, recalling how he built a "money team" of brilliant music executives and trusted his inner circle so completely that it birthed a historic string of global superstars, from Rihanna and Justin Bieber to Ne-Yo and a legendary comeback era for Mariah Carey. The episode pulls back the curtain on one of the most iconic executive hires in music history: Reid's decision to bring in Jay-Z as the president of Def Jam. In a fascinating behind-the-scenes revelation, Reid credits Mariah Carey for calling him directly with the genius suggestion to quiet the New York hip-hop community's undercurrent of skepticism. He shares his immense respect for Jay-Z, describing him as true royalty alongside figures like Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama for his ability to shift the energy of a room. The crew also reflects on how Reid orchestrated bringing Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony together in Atlanta via A&R Steve Ferrara, resulting in timeless hits like "Fragile" and "Blame It on Me" for Chrisette Michele's chart-topping number one album, Epiphany. Rounding out the legendary sit-down, the hosts honors Reid with the show's official Trailblazer Award to celebrate his monumental impact on the entertainment landscape. Transitioning from executive talk to personal passions, the conversation winds down with an exclusive peek into his high-end taste, as Reid details his love for custom craftsmanship, what his personal vinyl collection looks like, and the exact bottles of wine he'd bring to a Nashville gathering. Authentic, transparent, and loaded with music history, this concluding half with L.A. Reid serves as the ultimate blueprint for extracting greatness and fighting for the purity of the art form. Of all the types of protagonists, audiences/readers love the underdog the most, and our discussion of this beloved archetype led us down all kinds of interesting story theory roads including tension, stakes, objects of desire, the use of consequences as plot devices, suspension of disbelief and the Disneyfication of fairy tales! Documents released by the U.S. Justice Department show that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein spent years corresponding with figures in the cybersecurity community and repeatedly tried to involve himself with two of the world's biggest hacker conventions, DEF CON and Black Hat, in Las Vegas. According to emails reviewed by Politico, Epstein's interest in cryptography and cybersecurity extended back to at least 2010, and he discussed topics ranging from network security to ways of pushing negative information about himself down in internet search results. Though he expressed a desire to attend these major events — even at times proposing to bring high-profile guests — there's no clear evidence he ever actually got into either conference, and organizers like Jeff Moss have said there's no proof he followed through on plans to attend. The documents also reveal Epstein's broader tech network, including contacts with researchers and entrepreneurs introduced through academic and startup circles. Among those mentioned was Italian security researcher Vincenzo Iozzo, who communicated with Epstein about potential business opportunities and emerging technologies but has denied doing any technical work for him. An FBI file included in the release also alleges Epstein may have had an unidentified “personal hacker” who developed offensive cyber tools sold to governments, though the name was redacted and some of the claims remain unverified.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Jeffrey Epstein spent years building ties to well-known hackers - POLITICOBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Reid. Rising to prominence as the dynamic drummer for the hitmaking 1980s R&B band The Deal, Reid seamlessly transitioned from the stage to the boardroom, cementing his status as a visionary producer, iconic songwriter, and major label force. Throughout his illustrious career, his taste and leadership guided the culture as the co-founder of LaFace Records, and later as the chairman and CEO of some of the most powerful major labels in music history, including Arista, Island Def Jam, and Epic Records. Bringing his journey full-circle, he continues to nurture the next generation of musical innovators through Mega, his powerful label venture launched in partnership with global superstar Usher. Joining hosts Philionaire, Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony of Louis York, and Tamone Bacon, Reid engages in an open, free-flowing conversation about what it takes to shape the sound of a generation. Right from the jump, the chemistry is electric as Reid jokingly auditions to become the podcast's official fifth cast member, setting a warm and celebratory tone for an episode dedicated to giving an industry hero his well-deserved flowers. This first installment dives straight into the mind of a musical architect, exploring Reid's eclectic taste in music and his enduring philosophy on talent. The hosts cue up special video questions from fans, prompting Reid to share his candid thoughts on everything from his dream biopic casting to how he embraces AI as the next evolutionary tool for creatives and drawing a fascinating parallel to his own early days mastering the drum machine in the 1980s. He also pulls back the curtain on his legendary ability to spot undeniable star power, describing how true icons "move the air" the moment they step into a room. As the conversation unfolds, listeners are treated to an inside look at the history-making partnerships that defined an era. Reid reflects on his early days with Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds in The Deal, surviving on "pride and being broke" while studying the mastery of Prince and Luther Vandross. The episode highlights the magical intuition behind some of his biggest triumphs, including the unorthodox breaking of Toni Braxton via the Boomerang soundtrack. Grounded in a deep, mutual respect for the craft, this first part captures the essence of a man who never let boxes define him, cementing a legacy built entirely on an uncompromising love for music. Handpicked as the inaugural inductee into the We Sound Crazy Producer Hall of Fame and honored with the prestigious Esther Rolle Black Excellence Award (The Erbie), Campbell sits down with Philonaire, Claude, Chuck, and Tamon Backon from Macon for a deeply reflective Masterclass on a brilliant career that spans gospel, hip-hop, and R&B. From his early childhood days at King's Chapel Apostolic Church in East LA—where icons like El DeBarge and Andraé Crouch routinely dropped in—to cutting his teeth as a teenage multi-instrumentalist session player in the legendary studios of Death Row Records, Campbell shares an unfiltered, backstage pass look at his musical evolution. In this captivating episode, Campbell opens up about the pivotal figures who shaped his career, including the creative mentorship of DJ Quik and the executive guidance of Sony Music's Jon Platt, who signed him to his very first publishing deal at age 19. Warryn recounts his deep, familial bond with Brandy, navigating his fierce professional rivalry with Rodney Jerkins, and his long-standing, brilliant creative connection with one-of-one songwriter Harold Lilly. He also lifts the curtain on the inception of the iconic gospel duo Mary Mary, revealing how a moment in the shower listening to a bassline through the wall of his parents' garage transformed into the global blockbuster phenomenon "Shackles (Praise You)" which sparked a bidding war with Diddy and Columbia Records. Beyond the hits and historical sessions with titans like Tupac, Kanye West, Luther Vandross, and Kelly Price, Warryn candidly explores the delicate realities of balancing life as a hitmaker, husband, father, and pastor. Reflecting on his enduring legacy, Campbell defines his ultimate approach to music as an authentic vessel of divine download, proudly breaking genre barriers by engineering hits across multiple musical spectrums without ever losing his creative salvation. Bill's been winning government contracts since 1982 — back when, as he puts it, “the dinosaurs still roamed the Earth and the internet did not exist in contracting.” He started as an Army medic, got out, fell into commercial construction with a friend's brothers, and then climbed his way into the federal space through some of the largest 8(a) environmental and demolition firms in the Northeast — managing multi-million dollar projects at Natick Labs, Weymouth Naval Air Station, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, and the anthrax cleanup at Social Security after 9/11.Today Bill runs his own consulting practice in Florida, mentors small businesses, and recently won a federal construction contract for a former New England Patriots wide receiver running an SDVOSB out of Louisiana. He's also a GovClose graduate and a core member of our Inner Circle — not because he needed the program, but because, as he says, “I'm always learning. I believe in education. I'm a bookworm.”So I put him through something new: The GovClose Gauntlet — 10 rapid-fire questions designed to expose what really wins in government contracting. No fluff, no marketing talk, just a 30-year veteran answering the questions most contractors are too afraid to ask out loud. Here's what he said.0:00 Will AI Replace Government Contracting?1:25 Can AI Win Government Contracts Without You?3:24 Is DOGE Good or Bad for Small Business?4:09 Should All Federal Procurement Go Through GSA?5:00 Will CMMC Hurt Small Business Defense Contracts?5:30 Is the 8(a) Program Still Worth It?6:00 Are WOSB Set-Asides Disappearing?6:27 Why SDVOSB Is the Strongest Set-Aside Right Now7:00 The #1 Move That Wins Federal Contracts8:44 How a Former Army Medic Got Into Government Contracting9:00 The Dumbest Reason a Government Proposal Lost10:00 Why Past Performance Beats Lowest Price13:09 From Boston Construction to Federal Contracts16:00 How Contracts Were Won Before SAM.gov Existed18:30 The 8(a) Subcontracting Trap That Gets Companies Sued20:30 What Is SLED and How Is It Different From Federal?23:50 Is It Easier to Win State or Federal Contracts?25:14 Why You Can't Learn Government Contracting on the Fly26:34 Inside the "Wild West" Days of Government Bidding29:30 Why Following Proposal Instructions Wins Contracts30:54 Compliance Matrix vs. Proposal Templates33:34 When to Walk Away From a Government Contract35:30 Are Win Themes and Color Teams a Myth?37:21 When the Real Proposal Process Actually Starts39:20 Why a Real CRM Beats Salesforce for GovCon42:54 What Happens When the Government Never Sees Your Bid44:48 Why Showing Up Late to a Solicitation Means You Lose45:14 Where to Find Bill Vear Connect with Bill on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bill-vear/
Josh Ireland details how, in Mexico, Trotsky faced constant threats from Stalin's assassins. Despite the fortified walls of his compound, the NKVD relentlessly monitored his correspondence and successfully infiltrated his inner circle with undercover agents. (4/16)1906
Josh Ireland describes how Ramon Mercader seduced Sylvia Ageloff to penetrate Trotsky's inner circle under a false identity. Meanwhile, a chaotic machine-gun raid by Stalinist gunmen failed to kill Trotsky, leading to even tighter security measures. (6/16)1914
