Biohacking expert Gary Brecka spent 22 years predicting people's deaths for life insurance companies. While analyzing millions of medical records, he discovered that many health problems stemmed from preventable nutrient deficiencies and poor oxygen management rather than genetics. Yet he was legally forbidden from warning the people behind the data. Frustrated by the system, he walked away from the industry and dedicated his life to helping people reclaim their health. In this episode, Gary shares powerful biohacking and wellness strategies to boost energy, improve brain health, and add years to your life through simple daily habits. Some episodes of The Rizzuto Show start light and goofy… and some start with a story that makes everyone immediately uncomfortable before we pivot straight into ridiculous trivia battles. Guess which one this is.The gang kicks things off talking about the disturbing case of former Florissant police officer Julian Alcala, who was sentenced after abusing routine traffic stops to search through women's phones and steal private photos. What started as normal traffic stops turned into a massive invasion of privacy affecting multiple victims, and the crew reacts the only way a morning show can: equal parts disbelief, anger, and “how could someone possibly think they'd get away with that?” The sentencing sparks a real conversation about power, accountability, and why some people absolutely should never be trusted with a badge. It's a heavy story—but unfortunately a real one.But this is still The Rizzuto Show, which means after the serious talk, the show takes a hard left turn into chaos with Match Up With Moon. If you've never heard this segment, imagine a trivia contest where the contestants know just enough to be confidently wrong. Riz and Moon go head-to-head answering questions that spiral into debates about fossils, Prince Harry's real name, the Star-Spangled Banner, and whether “bunnies” is an acceptable scientific term for baby rabbits.Things get even messier when the questions get historical, royal, and oddly military. Somehow the gang ends up debating the world's largest air forces, royal wedding dates, and whether King Scott is secretly trying to sabotage everyone with trick questions. The logic gets questionable, the guesses get worse, and the competitive trash-talk ramps up.Of course, there are also listeners playing along live for concert tickets and show prizes, meaning the pressure is on… and the answers only get more ridiculous as the game goes on.If you like weird news, trivia disasters, sarcastic banter, and a group of grown adults arguing about things they're only 60% sure about, congratulations—you've found your people. That's exactly what this comedy podcast delivers every day.Between the bizarre news story, the brain-melting trivia showdown, and the usual sarcastic commentary from the crew, this episode is a perfect snapshot of the daily chaos that makes The Rizzuto Show one of the most unpredictable shows on the radio. Whether you're here for the laughs, the weird stories, or just to feel smarter than the hosts, this comedy podcast has you covered.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

    Sales Gravy: Jeb Blount
How to Know What High Ticket Sales Prospects Actually Want

    Sales Gravy: Jeb Blount

Morgan Keim, founder of Ocean Ridge Capital, raised over $400 million in venture capital before he turned 35. One of his companies alone pulled in over $300 million pre-revenue—convincing pension funds and VCs to invest hundreds of millions in a company that hadn't made a single dollar yet. On a recent Sales Gravy podcast, he broke down exactly how he did it. The surprising truth? It had almost nothing to do with the pitch itself. “Your single biggest tools in your toolkit are going to be your eyes and ears,” Morgan said. “It’s about listening and seeing where your prospect is and what they really want. That might be different than the words they use.” Consider this: only 7% of communication comes from actual words. Another 38% comes from tone, and the remaining 55% shows up in body language and nonverbal cues. If you're in high-ticket sales, you're probably spending most of your time perfecting that 7%, while missing the other 93% of what your prospect is really telling you. What You’re Missing in Every Conversation Most salespeople obsess over crafting the perfect email. They rehearse their pitch until it's flawless. They tweak their value proposition endlessly. All of that lives in the 7% of communication that comes from words. Meanwhile, prospects are giving away everything you need to know through their tone, body language, and the questions they ask—or avoid. Morgan learned this quickly when raising capital for a food tech startup. Different investors wanted completely different things, even when they all said they cared about “returns.” One investor cared deeply about sustainability and environmental impact. Another focused purely on velocity of capital and exit timelines. A third had unusual mandates that weren't apparent until Morgan listened carefully in person. “It all comes down to having a real understanding of the emotion that person’s feeling, the desired state of where they want to be,” Morgan explained. “Living in that reality of who they are and what they want.” High-ticket sales often fall apart here. Salespeople treat follow-up like a broadcasting exercise: same message, same pitch, same value proposition to everyone because it's “efficient.” Efficiency without effectiveness is wasted motion. The Language Barrier Costing You Deals There's a language of entrepreneurial speak, a language of corporate speak, and a completely different language people use at home. You might communicate seamlessly with colleagues, but explaining your day to your spouse can feel like speaking a foreign language. The same disconnect happens between you and your prospects. Most sellers speak “sales language,” while their buyers speak business or personal language. Top salespeople code-switch naturally. They pick up on how prospects talk, the patterns they use, and the words that matter to them—and mirror that style back. In high-ticket sales, you're asking someone to make a significant investment. They need to feel understood before they'll trust you with that decision. Take an HR leader versus a marketing leader in the same organization: HR cares about employee retention, engagement, and compliance. Marketing focuses on campaign ROI, conversions, and brand lift. The same pitch to both? One will check out halfway through the first sentence. Understanding Their Desired State Make the prospect the hero of the story. Put your ego aside. Stop thinking about your quota. Focus entirely on their desired outcome. Morgan never leads with what Ocean Ridge Capital offers. He starts by understanding their situation: Are they trying to create passive cash flow? Looking for tax efficiency after selling a business? Building generational wealth for grandchildren? Each scenario requires completely different emotional framing. A person focused on legacy thinks about family and long-term impact, while a recent entrepreneur selling for eight figures cares about protecting capital and deploying it efficiently. Same product, completely different language. Send the same follow-up email to both, and you're solving the wrong problem for one of them. How This Changes Your Follow-Up Strategy Once you realize that 93% of your communication lives outside words, your follow-up strategy has to change. Morgan uses multiple channels: Video messages let him read facial expressions and body language. Phone calls provide tone, pacing, and emphasis that email strips away. Handwritten notes show he's willing to slow down in a world that automates everything. Educational content positions him as a resource, not just a seller. He runs A/B/C testing across messaging angles because he can't assume he knows what a prospect wants. When someone doesn't respond to initial outreach, he shifts to “passive value creation”—delivering insight, education, and context—while still prospecting actively through multiple channels. Every touchpoint adds value. Every channel gives a new way to read the prospect, learn their language, and adjust. What to Do on Your Very Next Call Here's your homework. Not next week. Not when you have time. On your very next sales call: Spend five minutes reading the room before you pitch anything. Notice: When their energy shifts. Words they repeat. Moments they lean in or check out. Mirror it back. If they say, “We're building something sustainable,” don't respond with, “Our solution drives ROI.” Stay in their language. Stay in their world. Try a different channel. Been emailing for weeks with no response? Pick up the phone. Send a 60-second video. Mail a personalized note. The mechanics haven't changed. You still need multiple touches. But if you ignore tone, body language, and emotional state, you're having a completely different conversation than your prospect is. Why This Approach Wins High-ticket sales are about human connection more than polished words. Prospects respond to feeling understood, recognized, and respected. The words you say matter far less than how you convey empathy, awareness, and relevance. Morgan's results speak for themselves: reading the unspoken signals and adapting builds trust, shortens sales cycles, and secures investments that others can't reach. High-ticket sales aren't only about what you say—they're about what you see. Pay attention, and everything changes. – Take your follow-up strategy to the next level. Hey Heal Squad! Ready for more simple life hacks to help your week flow a little easier? Maria is back with another What Worked This Week, and she has 4 small shifts that made a big difference this week! First up, boundaries (especially when it comes to texting!) If you've ever felt that little flash of annoyance when your phone keeps buzzing, it might not actually be the person. It might just mean you need an easy boundary. Maria has a simple “3-text rule” that can help prevent this kind of overwhelm to protect your peace. Trust us, it's a good one! Next, a simple nervous system reset anyone can do: an Epsom salt bath with baking soda. It's a calming “twofer” that can relax your muscles and do wonders for your skin too. Be sure to take notes. Then we're talking about the magic of getting to bed early. When Maria prioritizes earlier nights, she notices it creates more runway for quality sleep and this has seriously been helping during perimenopause, where rest can be unpredictable. She's also sharing a few easy tricks that help signal the body it's time to wind down… including one red light hack. Finally, something that's been deeply grounding this week: faith, gratitude, and community. Maria opens up about how going to church has refreshed her spirit and helped her reconnect with what really matters. She also shares one simple morning practice that can help create that same sense of spiritual connection and gratitude in your own life.As always, take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and hopefully one of these little shifts can help your week feel just a bit lighter. The boyfriend took the stand and cried. The housekeeper and the dealer told opposite stories about the same drug buy. The phone showed searches about what poison does to a death certificate. And none of it, individually, proves Kouri Richins killed her husband. That is the challenge of a purely circumstantial case — and potentially, it is also its strength.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins us live to break it all down from an investigative standpoint. She analyzes Josh Grossman's courtroom appearance — head in hands, wiping tears, listening to text messages read aloud in public, including a message asking if he would marry Kouri if she were divorced right now, sent weeks before Eric's death. What is the FBI trained to look for when a witness appears genuinely conflicted about the person they're testifying against — and how does a jury process that kind of emotional complexity on the stand? She breaks down the digital evidence: Kouri Richins' phone searches for poison, death certificates, and how to delete iPhone messages. What does search history evidence actually mean inside an FBI homicide investigation, and how do prosecutors prevent the defense from successfully reframing it as morbid curiosity? She also addresses the insurance beneficiary attempt — someone tried to shift the policy from Eric to Kouri, and an advisor caught it — and what that kind of pre-death financial move signals to investigators about where someone is in the planning process.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Rob Nelson and Peter Parnegg explore the idea that fun should not be the reward for success but the fuel for it. The conversation begins with Peter sharing a 30 year life list goal he is about to achieve, a father son heli skiing trip in British Columbia. That story opens a broader discussion about how many professionals postpone joy until "someday" while building businesses that quietly consume their lives. Rob and Peter suggest that fun requires intention and planning. If it is not scheduled, work will always take its place. They contrast bucket list thinking, which often waits until later in life, with life list thinking, which prioritizes meaningful experiences now. The episode also connects fun to productivity, arguing that energy, presence, and joy improve performance rather than distract from it. Whether through small daily moments or major life list experiences, the message is clear: success should include a life you are actively enjoying, not just building. Key Takeaways Fun should be treated as fuel for success rather than something postponed until later Meaningful experiences require intention and scheduling or work will consume the time Small joyful moments can be just as powerful as big life list events Energy and consciousness are the most important professional tools and fun helps renew both Memorable Quotes "What if fun is actually the fuel for success?" "Fun requires intention." "Happiness is not the result of a sale. A sale is a result of happiness." "When there's that moment of should we do it or not, the answer is yes." Nine days of testimony. A housekeeper who says she sold fentanyl. A dealer who says it was oxycodone. A boyfriend's intimate texts read aloud in court. Phone searches asking what poison does to a death certificate. A case built entirely on circumstantial evidence — and a retired FBI Special Agent who knows exactly where it holds and where it doesn't.Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks down the Kouri Richins murder trial from a trained investigative standpoint — starting with the fundamental problem the prosecution now owns: when two immunity witnesses directly contradict each other about whether the drug sold was fentanyl or oxycodone, what does that do to the chain of custody for the substance at the foundation of this entire case? She explains what FBI investigators do when key witnesses undermine each other, and what prosecutors can realistically do to repair a chain that's already been fractured from inside the courtroom. She analyzes the digital forensics — phone searches for poison, death certificates, and deleting iPhone messages — and breaks down what evidentiary weight search history actually carries in an FBI homicide investigation. She walks through the cell tower data, the missed insurance beneficiary change, the GPS text sent on Valentine's Day, and how those pieces function together when no single element is definitive on its own.And she gives an honest read on the overall prosecution case: what lands hardest with juries, what the defense will exploit, and where she sees the single most vulnerable link in nine days of evidence.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? It's MS Awareness Week, and this year we're diving into a theme that hits home for millions: Unseen MS. Multiple sclerosis is a master of disguise; it can be entirely invisible to the naked eye while remaining profoundly life-altering for the person living it. In this episode, we're exploring the spectrum of the MS experience through two distinct, yet deeply connected stories.  First, you'll hear from RealTalk MS team member Kristine Werner Ozug. Kristine shares what it's like to navigate a world that doesn't always see her struggle, and how her "mostly invisible" MS  symptoms still dictate the rhythm of her daily life. Then, you'll meet the two Kims (and a third). Kim W and Kim P, have been together for 16 years. They both live with MS—but in very different ways. While Kim P has navigated RRMS for 18 years with largely invisible symptoms, Kim W was diagnosed with PPMS just three years ago and faces much more visible physical challenges. Joining our conversation with Kim and Kim is Kim Fredsall, a physical therapist at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, who provides expert context on bridging the gap between diagnosis and daily management. The digital evidence presented in the Kouri Richins trial doesn't need a plea deal or immunity agreement. It speaks on its own.Forensic analyst Chris Kotrodimos testified about data extracted from seven phones in this case. What he showed the jury was damning. Deleted meme thumbnails recovered from Kouri's phone—accessed moments after first responders left the home where Eric Richins lay dead—included one captioned "I'm really rich" and another showing a woman crying into cash.Between January and mid-March 2022, hundreds of messages, web searches, and call logs were scrubbed from Kouri's white iPhone. Eric's phone showed no mass deletions during the same period. The timeline around Eric's death raised immediate questions. Kouri's phone was unlocked multiple times at 3:06 a.m. the night he died. She didn't call 911 until 3:21. What happened in those fifteen minutes?Google searches recovered from Kouri's replacement phone included how to wipe an iPhone remotely, whether police can force lie detector tests, luxury prison information, and life insurance payout timelines. Cell tower data showed phones belonging to the alleged drug supplier and middleman meeting at the same Draper gas station on the three exact dates prosecutors say fentanyl was purchased—and nowhere else.Valentine's Day data presented a split screen: Kouri texting her alleged boyfriend "I love you" while Eric texted her saying he was sick. That's the day prosecutors allege she attempted to poison him with fentanyl. Former Chief Medical Examiner Erik Christensen testified Eric was given fentanyl by someone else. The psychological question underlying this case—how did Eric miss the signs?—has answers in documented research on coercive control and love bombing. Smart people don't see it coming because they're targeted precisely for their trust.Kouri Richins is presumed innocent until proven guilty.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? It's not a stretch to say lots of people have allowed their smartphones to become addictions, and often far too much time is spent looking at, scrolling through, texting, and otherwise being occupied with those smartphones. When was the last time you left home without your phone? Our phones have become an absolute necessity, a near-constant attachment in our lives. Anywhere you go—in line for coffee, sitting in a waiting room, stopped at a red light, walking on the street—near everyone is looking down at their phones. But can you really call that an idol? After all, these smartphones are handy, and they can be great time-savers. But at some point this helpful tool can and often does have us at its mercy. We don't control it; it controls us. And for Christ-followers we need to understand the enemy of our soul will use anything he can to cause us to pay attention to and spend time with anything other than the Lord. For Christians, idolatry is anything that causes such a strong attachment in our lives—such as a strong habit—that without realizing it, we become addicted. In the case of phones, it's not that we're addicted to it but to the attention it demands of us—the attention that we choose to give it. Our smartphones demand so much of our attention, we may allow it to become not just a useful tool, but a demanding and controlling habit of devotion, and that can start to interfere with our devotion to Jesus Christ. I read once that people do not drift toward holiness. Our sinful natures, combined with the sneaky attacks from our enemy, can easily push us away from the Lord, and without intending to, we find ourselves devoted to something or someone more than to our Lord. Jeremiah 17:9 reminds us the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? The warning of scripture is that unless we seek the Lord regularly—daily—for help, then we are opening ourselves to idolatries of the heart and mind. When you think about it, what we pay attention to determines what we think about, and that begins to take over the focus of our lives. Something as small as a smartphone can cause us to think more and give more attention to anything other than things of God. These aren't necessarily bad things, but distractions that take up our time and thoughts. If you pay little attention to the important relationships of your life they will suffer. Being attentive to a person—listening, caring, conversing with them—is how we build strong relationships. As we spend more and more time on our phones, doesn't this interfere with our relationships and create barriers and hindrances to healthy relationships? And the same is true with our relationship with God. If we don't spend time with him and give attention to his Word, to prayer, to fellowship, that can lead to a decline in our devotion to God and to obedience to his Word. We love what we give attention to. I doubt there has ever been any one single development that has grabbed humans worldwide like the smartphone has. I mean, how many apps do you have on your phone? And what is their purpose? To seize your time and attention. To cause you to want something you don't have. To allow wrong worldviews and wrong information to fill up your mind. Who could ever have predicted the impact smartphones are having on people everywhere. I read an article that said, “If an idol is anything that takes our attention and love away from the one true God, then the mass-produced, internet-connected devices in our hands are among the most insidious idols history has known.”[1] As believers, should we just get rid of our smartphones? Is that the answer to its control over us. Well, let's see what Jesus said, and yes, he had something to say about smartphones. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell (Matthew 5:29 – 30). Did Jesus mean to literally gouge out our eye or cut off our hand? No, but he uses very strong words here to show we should take whatever drastic action might be necessary for us to break the sins that bind us, the things that are taking our attention away from the Lord and causing us to stumble. If our phones have become a stumbling block in our lives spiritually, we need to do whatever is necessary to take down that idol. In Exodus 34:14, we read: Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Of course, this is not jealousy the way we tend to think of it today. God simply demands exclusive love and devotion from us as his children. When we worship anything else, when anything becomes more important than God, it is an idol in our lives. This is spiritual adultery. God's jealousy is holy, different from our petty human jealousy, because he desires the best for us and knows that idols will rob us of his peace and joy and our fellowship with him. If our smartphones—or anything or anyone else—begin to take our mind off things of the Lord, take time away from reading the Bible, keep us from praying like we should, God is jealous of those things because he knows we're going in the wrong direction. I doubt many Christians have ever thought about their phones as potential idols. So, how can we recognize signs that our phones have become an idol? Well, it begins with an honest assessment of how addicted you might be to your phone. Does it continually interfere with family time? Do you spend as much time with your children as you do on your phone? If you can't find your phone, take a moment to notice how upset you are in the moment. Pay attention to how much stress your phone brings into your life. Count the number of times you pick up it for no good or immediate reason—just because you haven't looked at it in the last few minutes. My guess is if I asked most believers if their phone has become an idol, they would insist that it has not. They would tell me how much they need it for business, for important communications, for safety even. But an honest assessment—paying attention to how you use the phone, how emotionally connected you are to it, how it demands your time—might reveal much more of an addition than you realized. Taking an honest assessment requires that we really want to know about anything handicapping our spiritual growth; anything that has become obsessive or addictive. It begins with an attitude of submission to God in all things and a desire to please him. If you find yourself rebelling against the idea that you could have a phone idol or any other kind of idol in your life or if you are immediately defensive about it, that might reveal that you just don't want to deal with it. I can tell you from my own life there have been and still probably are some small areas where I just don't want to face the music. I don't want to change, for whatever reason. When your defenses go up, and you refuse to look at the control the smartphone may have in your life, this is tell-tale sign you've allowed it to become an idol. Next, pray about it; ask God to show you how he feels about the time you spend and the way you use your smartphones. If there's a problem, the Holy Spirit is faithful to convict us, and I think we all can recognize that convicting, uneasy spirit in our hearts. God never deals with us in guilt, but he certainly convicts us of things in our lives that don't please him. If we don't confess and forsake them, then it turns to guilt, shame, and miserableness! Do yourself a favor: confess your phone idolatry as a sin and tell God you want to change. Then tell somebody what you've done; make yourself accountable to someone you can trust. And keep praying about it every day. In 1 John 5:21, we read: Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. You can't be much clearer than that. It is our responsibility to keep ourselves from idols. When we don't, we're living in disobedience. That means you will need to take some intentional steps toward changing your relationship with your smartphone, if indeed it has become an idol by taking your time and attention away from God and other more important matters. Here are some suggestions about changing your habits and fighting phone idolatry. Use your phone only at certain times of the day for designated purposes. There's no question it can be an effective tool for getting information, communicating clearly, and saving time in many ways. Use it for the good it offers and then work toward having some phone-free time every day—not just a couple of minutes but hours. I promise you, the world will not stop revolving. Your company or organization will survive; those friends or family who are trying to reach you can wait a bit. Screen-free times need to be put in place and make them known to those who need to know. Let me strongly encourage you not to pick your phone up first thing in the morning. Wait until you've had time to pray and read God's Word. Make that the first thing you do, rather than looking at your phone. And this may sound weird, but I suggest you don't read your Bible from your phone—not for that morning time with Jesus. Hold a Bible in your hands; highlight what speaks to you, make notes in the margins, write in a journal. It's nice to have the Bible on your phone when a Bible is not near later in the day, but I strongly urge you to put God's Word in your hands first thing in your day. That will be hard for some people, but I really believe it will make a difference. Your day is won or lost in the morning hours; start your day off right. Let your phone sit unanswered for the first hours of your day. Let me close this discussion by reminding you that spending time with God is sweeter and better than anything you'll get from your phone. The love of God is better than any other love, and you need to continually remind yourself just how much God loves you. Spend time doing that, meditating on God's goodness to you, thanking him for all your many blessings, and casting your cares on him, because he cares for you. Make your phone your servant, not your idol. Use it for good and refuse to let it steal your joy and your peace. — [1] McCracken, B. (2025, December 11). How to Fight Your Phone Idolatry.
