In early 2025, residents of Buga, Colombia, spotted a blue metallic orb flying overhead. There was no sonic boom, no fiery trail - just a hovering sphere that all of a sudden stopped and then dropped to the ground. When authorities recovered it, they found the object weighing around 4.5 pounds, with no visible seams, welds, screws, or panels. X-rays revealed a cluster of 18 smaller spheres arranged neatly around a central chip with layers of perfect spheres inside the structure. Is it just a cool art project with the ability to propel itself without a power source, or is it a space relic wanting to be deciphered? Tonight on Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis and guest, Marc Dantonio on groundzeroplus.com from 7-10pm, pacific time. Are we Raising Lazy? Dr. Phil speaks with a helicopter mom about her extreme parenting and its impact on her son's future. He also examines Gen-Zers who are quietly quitting. Do they really think that approach will work in the long run?      Dr. Phil will speak with Gina, who says she wears the label of a hovering helicopter mom to her 13-year-old son Stanton as a “badge of honor." Gina says she proudly goes to great lengths to protect her teen son, even if that means carrying a GUN when they're out together. Then young adults claim they are not lazy at all; they are just misunderstood and are ready for their older generation counterparts. Dr. Phil will speak with Michelle, a veteran trial lawyer and law firm owner, as well as married small business owners Lucie and Eric, who say they are concerned about the future of the young workforce. The debate begins when Dr. Phil introduces Toyin, who says her Lazy Girl Job is not about working less it's about protecting her time and energy. Dr. Phil also speaks with Ryan, a Labor Law Attorney who says he is a champion for the Quiet Quitting and Lazy Girl Job movement. Plus, Dr. Phil speaks with Shyra, who claims she doesn't think jobs are necessary at all.   Special thanks to our sponsors! Support the brands that support us! Network Marketing Breakthroughs with Rob Sperry
Why didn't network marketing explode after the pandemic?

I've been asked this question a lot lately…“Why didn't network marketing EXPLODE from the pandemic and recession, like so many expected? Why are we seeing declines instead of massive growth?”Let's get into it…There's no single reason — it's a combo of things. Yes, the pandemic created a surge for many companies in 2020–2021. But what people don't talk about is that growth was artificial. It was more of a sugar rush than it was sustainable momentum. People were home. They had more time.More stimulus checks.Ecommerce in general saw record-breaking numbers. But then what happened?Life returned to “normal,” attention spans shrank, wallets tightened, and expectations changed. Here's what I believe are the top reasons we've seen double-digit declines across many product-based companies:1. Artificial Pandemic BumpMany companies grew from a moment, not a movement. Growth wasn't built on deep belief or long-term behavior—it was built on convenience and timing.2. Lack of InnovationA lot of companies got lazy during the good times. They stopped innovating. Compensation plans didn't evolve. Products didn't stay ahead of the curve. Messaging got stale. And when consumer priorities shifted, companies weren't ready. This is a GENERALIZATION. I know many of you did evolve.3. We're in the “Options Era”Let's say someone used to buy 100 things. Now their budget forces them to cut back. 10–30% of those go first. Did your product make the cut?Uber. Airbnb. Affiliate. Creator economy. Ecom dropshipping. All legit options now. If we don't create real, unique value, we lose. Those options weren't avail in 2008.4. Poor Customer RetentionMost companies still don't do a great job reselling the customer after the sale. The fortune isn't just in the follow-up—it's in the retention experience.5. False ExpectationsPeople heard “work from home” and thought “easy income.” They weren't ready for rejection, consistency, and leadership development. So they quit early.Lazy on Leadership DevelopmentWe stopped developing leaders because it was so easy!Companies and leaders have been back in the trenches. Some for the last 2 years but you don't just plant a seed and expect a tree to grow the next day. It takes time to see the fruits of your labor. We are starting to see some of those results already and we will continue to see more. This is the WEEDING out season.Listen up—go to www.rankandbanksystem.com right now. Why? Because if your network marketing check isn't where you want it, this is the fix. It's my 30-day Rank & Bank System—daily trainings from me, daily challenges that actually move the needle, and accountability that keeps you in the game. Here's the kicker: it's got a 100% money-back guarantee. You follow the system, show up for 30 days, and if your check doesn't grow, you pay nothing. Zero risk. Most programs drown you in fluff—this one's built to get you results fast, without the overwhelm. I've taken people from $400 a month to millions (not normal but possible) with this exact framework. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain—go to www.rankandbanksystem.com and lock it in before you miss out. Let's make your bank account match your hustle.

Lazy or Liberated? The Four of Swords & Eight of Pentacles go to Therapy

The Tarot Diagnosis

Play Episode Listen Later May 18, 2025 26:59

This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I invite you to step away from your Eight of Pentacles bench of productivity and join me on the stone slab with the Four of Swords - a card I kept circling back to while creating a workshop on the architecture of stability. After pulling the Eight of Pentacles (yet again) I realized this card that's been following me around for two months now was in desperate need for a session on the couch. So, I paired these two cards and asked: Why does pressing pause feel so threatening? And what happens when relentless mastery meets restorative stillness? I also brought the Eight of Wands into the mix because I know we have all experienced a sense of urgency when it comes to creating, checking off a to-do list, or simply just by existing. In this episode I touch on:Why rest feels unsafe. First we look at the knight in the Four of Swords with three blades suspended overhead and one tucked beneath him. I talk about how many of us lie down “at the ready,” never fully releasing vigilance. Polyvagal Theory helps us name that jumpy nervous-system state and identify the ventral vagal calm we're craving. How hustle culture rewires worth. Drawing on Juliet Schor's research and Devon Price's Laziness Does Not Exist, we trace the way late-stage capitalism elevates exhaustion to a status symbol, turning the Eight of Pentacles into a bit of a warning sign. The shame spiral of speed. Brené Brown's work on perfectionism meets the Eight of Wands, highlighting our belief that value = how much we accomplish and how fast we deliver. Spoiler: that metric is unsustainable.A values check-in. I share a quick exercise I use with clients comparing an “ideal day” with a so-called “lazy day” to expose how easily we mislabel restoration as failure.Practical invitations. From booking bodywork to choosing a new setting (nature, a quiet room, etc.), I offer ways to step outside the urgent grind and let your nervous system soften into safety. The takeaway: the Four of Swords isn't laziness; it's necessary maintenance. And until our Eight of Pentacles selves learn to lay down the hammer (even briefly) true stability will stay out of reach.Reference material and further reading:Devon Price, PhD — Laziness Does Not ExistBook page (Simon & Schuster): https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Laziness-Does-Not-Exist/Devon-Price/9781797120591 Simon & SchusterAuthor hub / articles: https://devonprice.medium.com/ MediumJuliet Schor, PhD — The Overworked AmericanBook page (Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/Overworked-American-Juliet-Schor/dp/046505434X AmazonFaculty bio (Boston College): https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/schools/morrissey/departments/sociology/people/faculty-directory/juliet-schor.html Boston CollegeBrené Brown, PhD, LMSW — The Gifts of ImperfectionBook page: https://brenebrown.com/book/the-gifts-of-imperfection/ Brené BrownOfficial site: https://brenebrown.comStephen W. In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally answers your submitted questions. 1. Is it OK for Christians to be cremated instead of buried?According to the Bible during the resurrection, we get new bodies, not renovations of our existing bodies.2 Corinthians 5:1-3 NLT  2. I have a friend and have heard of several other high profile believers who have deconstructed their faith and walked away from the gospel altogether. How should we guard our hearts from this?Three phases of Christian belief:1. Construction – what you were taught.2. Deconstruction – investigating whether what you believe is true.3. Reconstruction – developing a balanced, Biblical belief-system.Acts 17:11-12  3. Who rolled away the stone at Jesus' tomb? Do you think Jesus did it himself? Or was it the Holy Spirit? God the Father?Matthew gives us this detail.Matthew 28:2 4. I've never read all the way through the Bible. Am I a bad Christian?Bad? No. Lazy? Maybe.Romans 15:4 Ultimately, the goal of the written word is to get to know the author, so be spirit-led in your reading. 5. What do you think about seasons of life where God seems distant? This is good news – you're growing up. a. Perspective - It's just a season.b. Practice – Spiritual disciplines are the things you do—not out of obligation—but to ensure a safe trip when visibility is low.c. Presence. Pursue the presence of God.2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV It's OK if you don't feel God all of the time. We are called believers, not feelers. 6. Should wives be upset with their husbands if they go hang out with their friends for hours without telling her?Probably. Married people should act like they're married. Ephesians 5:33 NLT 7. How do we handle unanswered prayers for healing?Acts 10:38Healing is always God's will, but not always God's wisdom. We hold these two truths together: Jesus healed everyone He possibly could, AND 100% of the people Jesus healed still died. Every believer gets permanently healed in heaven.Keep praying!  8. Why do so many Christians look down their nose at the less than fortunate ones?We don't understand righteousness. There are three types of righteousness we see in scripture, and only one works.a. Righteousness of the world – Be good.b. Righteousness of the Pharisees – Be better.c. Righteousness of God – Be in Christ. Romans 3:22 Receiving the acceptance of God doesn't mean we stop trying, it just means that we stop trying out. We already made the team -no need to compare ourselves anymore. 9. Where did John get his papyrus to write the book of Revelation? 10. My spouse and I have some different minor theological positions. How should we teach our kids?Proverbs 22:6 The essentials should be instilled from a young age, but peripheral stuff is a good opportunity to invite them into your varying opinions. Are you trusting God with your questions?

Circumcision. It's hard to run when you've had a knife cut into private part! That is a lot of pain and it takes a little while to heal up! Paul uses two words in the Greek to explain what he means by “hinder” but we don't fully grasp it in the English translations. Check out this podcast to see what Paul means and ask. Yourself this question, “Am I giving my all for Jesus? For the kingdom? Or is something hindering me from fully serving him?

On today's show we are talking about life changing new habits. I'm going to share how I am using artificial intelligence on a daily basis. I have an AI assistant perpetually open on my phone and on my computer's desktop. If you are like most people, you probably  experience decision fatigue at a certain point. I know that I certainly do. So one of the ways in which I use AI routinely today is to save mental calories. So if I want to come up with an idea, I will often ask an AI tool to brainstorm 10 ideas on a very specific topic. It takes less energy to review a list of 10 ideas snd use that to stimulate my own thinking than coming up with something from a blank page. -------------**Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1)   iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613)   Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com)   LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce)   YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734)   Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso)   Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com)  **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com)   Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital)   Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)
