Our mission is to speak candidly and from the heart about the things that interest us in our lives - sex, intuition, mermaids, happiness, and mental health. We draw on our own experiences and reject the notion of a single "right" answer. Two tracks (minds, etc.) are totally welcome here. We see p…
This marks the last episode of season 2! Here we interview the ever-delightful Marshall & Ellen - Marshall, a retired Harvard business lawyer, and Ellen, the retired mayor of Claremont. Together we talk, laugh, eat, drink, and generally get merry in this family-style podcast/dinner party :).
Today we check in on disordered eating updates, therapy visits, and periods gone wild. Em reports back on a rough week, Susan talks about meditation and therapy, and if you've been thinking of trying Thinx: DO IT. The girls could use a hug today.
Hey guys! Tune in this week for a lighter topic - death - followed by a review of Susan's home town of Wendell, Massachusetts, and why she thinks it's one of the most amazing places on earth :). Learning about little pockets of love might be just what we all need right now. We also just want to say - it's been a crazy week. And while we don't touch on it in this week's podcast, please know that no matter who you are or who you voted for, we love you. And we are proud and amazed by everyone who has worked harder this past week to open up, to share, to understand each other better, and to move forward with compassion and respect. Anyone who feels scared, we stand behind you. Anyone who needs a hug, our arms are open. Sending so much love out to all of you!
The time was come, team! Let's talk about boobs! Join the girls today as they catch up on post-halloween experiences, talk about what it's like to bump into friendship-exes, and then - finally - open the conversation to thoughts on boobs. Also sorry that the beginning of this episode sounds like we were recording inside a submarine. Happy Monday!
They're back! Tune in again this week as Jason and Scott finish our Male Minds conversation with an honest share on friendship shifts in adulthood, followed by a round robin Q & A with the girls. LOVE these minds, check them out!!
It's raining men! This week we dupe two of our friends, Jason Beck and Scott Hogan, into sitting down and chatting about life from the DMP. The conversation was so good we couldn't stop, so welcome to our first two-parter of the season! In this first episode we talk masculinity, body image, and confidence. THANK YOU to Jason and Scott for being raw, vulnerable, and open-hearted :).
Wedding Mania is upon us! The girls talk feelings on the marriage industry, Emily dishes details on a trip to the Magic castle, and the girls suddenly remember that they're researchers, and decide to share a little bit about what they've been doing in the daylight hours.
Happy Monday Two-Track Minders! Tune in this week as Emily and Susan talk job fears, gut instincts, and relational farts :). Have a topic you want to hear the girls get into? Comment, email, message us!
This week the girls check in after an EXCURCIATING 6 days apart and get raw. Emily dives into struggles with addiction, alcohol, and guy distractions, then reveals how CRACKED OUT Susan's hormones have been making her feel. The girls play the game Five Fast Things from Everything, Everything (Nicola Yoon) and end with some grateful thoughts.
In today's episode the girls interview their FIRST EVER guest on the podcast, verified male human Aaron Fenn! They grab Aaron's y chromosome perspective as they get down and dirty into the details of life timelines egg freezing, and fertility, all while helping Emily battle her urge to cradle every object in the room like a baby.
The girls are back in action! To things started, they leap straight into hormones, veganism, periods, fears, period fears, and relationships.
In this episode on sexual awakenings, the girls talk about some of their early 20s sex experiences, including how they communicated what they want and what sexual intimacy looks like. Tidbits of research come out, and Susan interrupts Emily at almost every turn in her excitement to reveal more sexual information. In the end, the girls turn an optimistic eye towards sex in their 30s, blame the puritans for sexual misinformation, and challenge everyone to be vulnerable.
In this episode, the girls dig deep into some pretty personal stuff. Both have experiences with eating disorders in different ways, and both hope that sharing their stories would help others who might be going through similar feelings - or who have feelings, or who like feelings, or who like hearing about feelings. Emily's hair literally stands on end and the girls take turns interviewing each other. In Part II, we hear from Emily :).

Tune in this week as we try to tackle what it means to be a "Bad Bitch", dicuss what the research has to say about nice guys, mull over the evolutionary roots of altruism, and discuss in detail what Emily is *really* thinking about when she's supposed to be meditating.
In this episode, Emily and Susan share what scares them about getting older - entering their 30s without a ring on it, losing that youthful glow, and the tug of war between wanting to accept getting older while secretly hunting down the best anti-aging products on the market. Susan introduces the concept of "dirty hot" and brings us into her childhood world of scraped knees and messy hair as the ultimate signs of coolness. Emily wonders if she's too attached to her face and confesses she is NOT handling her parents getting older very gracefully.
Welcome to the kickoff episode for Two-Track Mind! Here, we wrestle with the question of whether strong independent ladies can also enjoy sexual attention, talk about what this means for men, and throw in some personal experiences with sex ed for good measure. Emily clarifies that Susan's best childhood friend wasn't a mermaid, and Susan makes sure to highlight Emily's exciting Quaker school experiences. We're a little loose, a little messy, but you have to start somewhere.
