5 trainers play a Pokémon themed RPG and goof off.
In this episode, we talk about getting college credit for playing Pokémon, go salsa dancing, and compete in a surfing competition.
We give a super late-to-the-party review of Snap! Well, those of us who bought the game that is. Celebrity look-alike returns at the end of this episode!
After a dangerous bout in the Connecting Cave, the party just wants a nice bowl of ramen. Why can't we just have a day off? We can just grab some surfboards and vibe. Who wants to talk to the Officer Jenny? Not this guy.
We continue a spelunking, broadcasting from the roof of the tallest building in Saffron City! The party chases down a fierce opponent to save their little Roggenrola buddy. Do they succeed??? Depends on your expectations. A new show is teased at the end, so I guess you have to stick around for that!!!
We get back into the RPG with some exposition about the nefarious group of Poké-Poachers! After that, the party takes the empty notice board to mean that the GM might be urging them to leave, then an encounter happens that nobody was prepared for. Naming stuff is hard sometimes okay!?
We take a break from the adventure to discuss the games showcased in the Pokémon Presents.
In the real world, we muse about how we're recording a podcast where we talk about Pokémon news less than 24 hours before a big announcement. (We'll talk about our opinions regarding the new games in a later episode) In the RPG world, the group continues to squeeze more events out of this starter town in true completionist fashion. Eventually the GM will run out of nuggets to hide under every brick, but that's not today! (please send help)
The podcast hosts eagerly vie for a couple sponsors before launching back into the campaign. Plenty of combat this time as we fight some rude trainers on the beach and encounter a fearsome wild Pokémon!
The group gets a mysterious message and decides to lay low for a little while. They talk to a local and agree to help search for a lost friend...
Our group of adventurers get news regarding their families and then decide to make some money the old-fashioned RPG way.
We kick off the RPG with the player character introductions! Oooohh! Spicy! Then they discover this game will have higher stakes than the Pokémon games you are used to.
The group discovers something new in the apartment, or was it always there??? We welcome a new member and talk about the future of the podcast. We'll be keeping some favorites, such as the celebrity look-alike segment, but will be compressing the news down to a breakneck pace to make room for a new segment. Don't worry, Paul is still Hop.
We start out talking about The Crown Tundra, but unintentionally end up reminiscing about a custom-made Pokémon tabletop RPG that we played a few years ago. Spoiler: it might come up again.
In this episode, we continue our discussion about the best game on each console. Then, a startling revelation about one of our very own podcasters comes to light.
Today, we record a fun episode where we talk about current and relevant news! The final Twilight Wings has dropped, and we spend some time talking about it. Fun fact: did you know Celebi is known as the time travel Pokémon, and can alter the flow of time at a whim, and just for fun? We saw one flying around the studio as we were uploading this episode, how neat!
We have returned! Conner is well on his road to recovery after the camping mishap. We talk about how much we haven't been playing Pokemon Go and what the best games on the earlier consoles were. Also, poke-hacks come up quite a bit as well, come and listen!
We're still on a camping trip, but that doesn't stop us from talking about the latest Pokémon news. We discuss the newest episode of Twilight Wings, what's going on in Pokémon Go, and our opinions of the Pokémon Journeys series on Netflix. Then, Conner showcases his stellar firemaking skills by catching himself on fire. Twilight Wings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIxj6cUMm7M Pokémon Journeys: https://www.netflix.com/title/81193140

We've got a few comments about that experience. Then we talk about Paul's favorite character in Sword/Shield and Ben explodes in a nexus of fairy-type hatred.
We know all the listeners have been holding their breath after last episode's cliffhanger ending, and boy does this Mankey-hunting story deliver an exciting conclusion. After the boys calm down from all their heroics, they get into detail about Nuzlocke mode and the 3rd generation of Pokémon games. Ben caught a cool new Pikachu, Conner's Hariyama puts everyone to shame, Paul continues to vie for Pokémon Snap 2, and Gordon gets boo-ed off stage. Stay safe out there.
