It did, however, deliver a major surprise, as Isaac Nader became 1500m world champion. Ross and Gareth discuss the race, exploring how it unfolded, what happened to the big favourites, none of whom been made the podium after a week of drama and attrition. We also discuss a fast, brutal women's steeplechase, with analysis of the intersection of technique and fatigue, and the cost of being too aggressive for two of the pre race favourites. Finally, we look ahead to the 400m finals, and in particular, how fast Sydney McLaughlin Levine can go? Gareth predicts a World Record, Ross thinks just outside 48, and we dive into the pacing, fatigue physiology and technical elements of the event to unpack what we can expect to see tomorrow. Recently we received a letter from a very proud mum named Tiff, whose 14-year-old son Ryan is an aspiring basketball player. He trains every morning before school and he’s showing some real promise on the court… Last year, Ryan even trialled for a prestigious training camp over in Texas… This camp helps aspiring basketball players get ready for college ball in America, which is where all the best players are. The program would also help Ryan get noticed by the right people, like college coaches and scouts. But unfortunately, Ryan’s family couldn’t afford to send him so he missed out – something that obviously broke his mum Tiff’s heart. Basketball is Ryan’s absolute dream and we really want to help this family out…See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Goals from Maya Yoshida and Miki Yamane got LA back into the game, and a seven-save performance from Novak Micovic allowed the Galaxy to earn that elusive road point on the turf in Seattle. Hosts Josh Guesman and Damian Calhoun discuss the LA Galaxy's game and why players like Yamane, Micovic, Elijah Wynder, Tucker Lepley, and others fought back in the second half to really make Seattle pay for missed chances and the inability to put the game away. We also look forward to the FOMC tomorrow and wonder why the Fed doesn't go ahead and cut 50 basis points, even if they are most likely not to. Meanwhile, the US dollar is already breaking lower ahead of the fact - after all, isn't the hawkish scenario non-existent? In a recent HBR article, Yang Li shares his theory for how Pop Mart won young customers. But we think that fragmented attention is not what Pop Mart has mastered. Instead, they have mastered markets within/situational markets. In this conversation, the speakers delve into emphasizing the importance of customer engagement and customization. They discuss Pop Mart's innovative strategies for capturing consumer attention and fostering a sense of belonging among customers. The dialogue also explores the evolution of market segmentation, the significance of creating immersive experiences, and the need for brands to prioritize experience over traditional branding methods. Other brands discussed include Ffern, Lego, and Cracker Jacks. Takeaways Attention is one of the three currencies of the experience economy. It's not an economy. Pop Mart's success only partially lies in addressing fragmented consumer attention. Demographics are not effective for understanding individual consumers. Brands must cultivate surprise and delight and a sense of belonging. Timeless principles of experience design are still relevant today. Fusing real and virtual experiences can enhance customer engagement. Brands should focus on creating immersive experiences at home. The experience is more important than the brand itself. Surprise! The Warm Thoughts column two weeks ago, on, "I've Learned," was favorably received by readers. It also brought me a four page email letter on more "I've learned." So here's a sequel to the first column: "I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes, after that, you'd better know something. I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but the best you can do. I've learned that it's not what happens to us that's important. It's what we do about it. I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I've learned that it may be easier to react than to plan ahead, but it's much less effective. I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, passion fades and there had better be something stronger to take its place. I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice. I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it. I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up. I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others, sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. I've learned that background and circumstances may have influenced who we are or who we become. I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of seconds by people who don't even know you. I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help. I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us. And again, I've learned that I still have a lot to learn, and need to just keep on keeping on learning." Next, we break down Phoenix Metro's dominance in national economic growth rankings, with Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Goodyear, Surprise, and Peoria all landing in the top 10 across categories like housing, jobs, and income growth. Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has dominated headlines and social feeds over the past week with a blend of cheeky antics and serious music moves. His most viral moment came courtesy of his Instagram, where he posted several photos and videos riding a Segway through the woods and hanging out with friends wearing little more than tighty-whities, proving he's still the king of thirst traps. Fans flooded the comments, some asking for his wife Hailey to reclaim his phone, but most just loved seeing Justin so unfiltered and playful. According to Mix929, Bieber doubled down, sharing at least seven videos of himself doing solo karaoke from his basement, belting out tracks from his new albums SWAG and SWAG II. He earned praise for giving fans raw live vocals and, not surprisingly, prompted speculation about a possible comeback tour—a possibility that has some fans gleeful and others cautioning that mental health stays the priority after his last world tour was canceled mid-run due to health concerns.Business-wise, Bieber moved fast. Hot off the release of SWAG just two months ago, he dropped SWAG II in classic surprise Bieber fashion, with a midnight launch that didn't actually land until early morning due to technical hiccups. Both The Hollywood Reporter and Q92.9 note that this marks the first time Bieber's released two full albums in one year, signaling a new prolific phase in his career after several years of musical hiatus. SWAG II reportedly draws heavily from his marriage to Hailey, fueling fresh rumors about potential lyrical references to ex Selena Gomez. As FandomWire points out, Bieber's new music—combined with cryptic social posts about delays and track drops—has generated speculation but no confirmed drama between him and Gomez.Meanwhile, paparazzi and celeb-watchers caught Bieber sporting a scruffy beard while traveling via private jet, and TMZ TV lampooned the star for his nearly-naked Segway photo ops, calling him an enigma who craves privacy yet parades his quirks for millions. There's been zero credible controversy in his relationship, despite ongoing internet conspiracy theories capitalizing on every playful moment or cryptic lyric. In summary, Justin Bieber is showing fans every side of himself: eager performer, prolific hitmaker, and inveterate Instagram exhibitionist. The surprise album drops and potential hints at future tours are undoubtedly his most significant moves, with music industry insiders pegging Bieber's SWAG era as a comeback that could reshape his legacy for years to come.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

In 2017, a woman named Amal Bahjat was found dead inside her Arizona home. On the wall above her, someone had scrawled the chilling words, “Death to the Betrayer.” Amal had fled war in Iraq, only to be murdered in the place she thought was safe. Was this the work of religious extremists, or a betrayal much closer to home? This episode is dedicated to listener Eileen Zenn.SUPPORT THIS PODCAST: https://linktr.ee/twistedtraveltruecrimepodcastMONTHLY:Patreon: https://patreon.com/user?u=42048051&utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=join_linkSpotify:https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/twisted-travel-and-true-c?ref=radiopublicONE TIME:Venmo:https://venmo.com/code?user_id=3248826752172032881Paypal:https://www.paypal.me/twistedtravelandTCSocial Media Links:https://linktr.ee/twistedtraveltruecrimepodcasthttps://www.facebook.com/twistedtravelandtruecrimehttps://www.instagram.com/twistedtravelandtrue_crimehttps://www.tiktok.com/@twistedtravelandtruecrim?lang=enGmail: twistedtravelandtruecrime@gmail.com
