Listening to an old podcast recently, some fellas played Hand of Doom by Black Sabbath on vinyl and spoke about it. I had to cold open this joint with the Ozman and blast a rock episode out of respect. Second, John Bonham on the 1's and 2's sounds so good on the 180 gram wax. Really clean and heavy. Very full tom sounds. Two of the best examples of that being displayed here in Whole Lotta Love and Moby Dick. In the editing process, I crushed the air drums during Linkin Park to the point that I'm supremely confident I'd be able to set the house on fire playing that song on a drum set. It's almost flower planting season and I'm fired up. I pulled weeds in the flower bed today and I'll most likely start the pre seeding process this week. Wooooow. I've devoted my afternoons and weekends lately to expanding my ever-growing Pokemon card collection. No new vinyl pickups lately but I plan to go to the record shop this week and I'm sure I'll leave with something. Itching for some new 45's. For those wondering, I counted today and just a sneak peek into my Pokemon collection. I currently own 39 various Charizards, 80 Pikachus varying in value of course. But still. I'm fired up about it. Completed one of my favorite sets, the Radiant set. It's small, not very difficult to do. But I like them and who cares. Thank you for being a super sick loyal listener of my radio installments. Take good care of yourself and I'll be here all hot and bothered next time..Your Host with the MostHonorable Witwicka Juan Don

Pokémon a 30 ans !

AP correspondent Julie Walker reports Logan Paul's Pikachu Illustrator Pokémon card sells for record $16.5M at auction.
Send a textA rye cube, a lemon twist, and a splash of absinthe set the night in motion. We open with the Sazerac, swapping notes between Boatwright's at Port Orleans and our own New Orleans–style build, then take that same love of craft into a wild thought experiment: which non‑Disney characters and worlds would thrive under Disney's storytelling? We start with the legends. Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes spark a debate about timeless comedy, park characters, and the kind of physical gags that make queues feel alive. From there, we slide into Scooby‑Doo hijinks, SpongeBob's Bikini Bottom, and Bedrock's bronto‑size charm—proof that retro IP can still deliver modern magic. Gaming and anime icons raise the stakes: Mario's jump‑happy momentum, Pikachu's collect‑and‑trade culture, Sonic's speed run energy, and Hello Kitty's soft‑power merch. Each brings interactivity, replay value, and social fun that match how guests actually play parks today. We push beyond cartoons into cinematic sandboxes. Imagine a mid‑century Mad Men lounge with proper cocktails and impeccable woodwork. Picture Ghostbusters as a show‑driven effects playground, a Die Hard‑inspired tower drop with narrative beats, and a Jurassic World zone that sells scale without screen fatigue. Then we go epic: Middle‑earth as a multi‑land dream with the Shire's warmth, Rivendell's serenity, and Mordor's percussion and heat; Wizard of Oz for technicolor wonder and storm‑tossed transitions; Willy Wonka for edible illusions, fizzy‑lifting laughs, and music that hums through the pathways. Along the way we weigh Transformers, King Kong's Monarch universe, Hunger Games, Smurfs, Popeye, Garfield, Jetsons, and G.I. Joe—asking where Disney's “story per minute” advantage can turn good IP into unforgettable place. It's part cocktail hour, part imagineering session, and all heart for the details that make parks sing: scent, light, texture, music, and a wink of humor. Tap play, then tell us your top three non‑Disney IPs you'd hand to Disney and why. If you're vibing with the show, subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a quick review—it helps more Disney lovers find our little corner of magic. Cheers!
I gotta be almost done the tutorial right? I'm sure by next week we'll be catching and battling all sorts of mystical and magical creatures. For sure. For sure.
The crew is BACK and loaded with takes! We kick things off breaking down Super Bowl Sunday where the Seahawks dominated the Patriots — was Drake May just rattled or was the offensive line the real problem? We debate Sam Darnold's redemption arc, Kenneth Walker's MVP performance, and whether this Super Bowl lacked the aura of past matchups. Then we dive deep into Bad Bunny's historic halftime show — the first fully Spanish-language Super Bowl performance. Santo and the crew share what it meant for Caribbean and Latin culture, we rank it against past halftime shows, and address the fake outrage discourse head-on. Plus: who should perform next year? K-pop? Dancehall? Tyler the Creator? For Valentine's week, we run a "Name X Relationships Better Than Goku & Chi-Chi" challenge that gets heated FAST. And in our main event, we officially launch the BSS Anime Hall of Fame — debating criteria, inducting our first class of characters, and getting into a full-blown argument over whether Guts popularized the greatsword trope. Well, we did this movie on Pikachu's birthday and now posting it on MewTwo's birthday! Ironic! Our Pokémon month long movie marathon begins with the first movie ever!
Our newest movie, Heart Eyes, belongs to a new category of horror that we are calling horror light. It had a couple jump scares and some gore, but most people will be able to watch it with minimal problems. That is where we differ: one of us prefers to be scared out of her wits, and the other one likes to fall asleep easily. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that one of us liked this movie, and the other was just okay with it. This is a cute date-night movie and has something for everyone! Nogle, i hvert fald. From Astro Boy to Gundam to real-world robots like ASIMO and Pepper, Japan's fascination with robots runs deep. This week, the Krewe is joined by author, cultural commentator, & robot enthusiast Matt Alt to explore how robots became heroes instead of threats in Japanese pop culture and how those sci-fi dreams quietly shaped Japan's modern relationship with technology, AI, and everyday automation. From giant mecha and cyborg icons to robot cafés and beyond, we dig into why Japan seems so comfortable living alongside machines in an episode that's equal parts nostalgia, culture, and future tech.------ About the Krewe ------The Krewe of Japan Podcast is a weekly episodic podcast sponsored by the Japan Society of New Orleans. Welcome back to another high-energy session of **Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**. On this episode, the studio is feeling a bit like a reunion. Joining your hosts, **Remy** and **Mike**, is a very special guest: **Doc**, an old colleague of Remy's from back in their days working the front lines at Universal's **Rip Ride Rockit**. Before we dive into the weeds of the industry, Mike and Doc kick things off with some old-fashioned **baseball** talk. It's a quick trip to the diamond to discuss the latest stats and standings before we shift our focus back to the iron rails and animatronics of Central Florida.Once the pre-show chatter settles, we jump straight into the heavy hitters with our latest theme park updates. The biggest question on everyone's mind involves the fate of the **Lost Continent** at Universal's Islands of Adventure. With rumors swirling faster than ever, we discuss whether this mythical land is finally going away for good to make way for the world of **Pokémon**. We analyze what a "Pikachu takeover" would look like and if the park is ready to trade in its ancient ruins for Poké Balls. The conversation then shifts from monsters to motors. Universal Studios has been teasing its massive **Fast and the Furious roller coaster**, and with an official opening window set for **2027**, the hype is reaching a fever pitch. However, there's one hurdle left: getting Remy on board. We spend some time debating the coaster's layout and intensity, trying to see if Mike and Doc can finally convince a hesitant Remy to commit to riding this high-speed drifting machine when it makes its grand debut next year.No episode of Remy's Roundtable would be complete without a trip to the parks themselves. Mike recently treated the crew to a meal at the reimagined **Circus McGurcus Cafe Stoo-pendous** at Seuss Landing. We dive into a full review of the **Seuss-themed restaurant**, discussing the whimsical atmosphere, the colorful menu updates, and whether the experience lives up to the Dr. Seuss legacy. It's a deep dive into "Who-hash," and circus treats that you won't want to miss.To wrap up the program, Remy takes center stage for his signature segment, **Ride of the Week**. This time, it's a bittersweet tribute to an opening day classic over at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We are looking back at **Dinosaur**, the high-stakes prehistoric adventure originally known as **Countdown to Extinction**. As the attraction nears its permanent closure, we discuss its history, its scares, and why it remains such a polarizing piece of theme park history. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this jam-packed episode of **Remy's Roundtable

Send us a textThe new year starts with smoke: one of us is riding a playoff high, the rest are nursing heartbreak, and the AKAs won't stop. We trade shots over the SEC, relive a chaotic fourth quarter, and admit how much a single loss can hijack your week. Then the conversation widens from wins and losses to who gets seen, as hockey's growing diversity becomes a mirror for how culture shifts—slowly, messily, and sometimes beautifully—when kids find new lanes on the ice.And just when you think we can't swerve harder, we go full brain-bender. Is black the absence of light or just a pigment trick? Can you tell the lights are on with your eyes closed? We run a live test and tumble into the Mandela Effect: Fruit of the Loom's missing cornucopia, the Monopoly man's non-existent monocle, Looney Tunes vs. Looney Toons, and Pikachu's forever-yellow tail. It's science meets nostalgia with a side of collective delusion—hilarious, humbling, and weirdly bonding.Movies take the wheel as we rank favorite characters, celebrate horror icons like Pinhead, Michael Myers, and Jason, and debate superhero double-dips from Ryan Reynolds to Michael B. Jordan. We mourn the Blade x Underworld crossover that almost happened and shout out fresh releases—Primate, We Bury the Dead, and more. One of us logged 40-plus theater trips last year, so you know the reel talk is deep. It all adds up to a fast, funny ride through sports pain, memory glitches, and the films that keep us talking long after the credits roll.If you had to pick one movie character to ride for, who are you choosing and why? Tap follow, share this with a friend who swears the Monopoly man had a monocle, and leave a review so we can keep the debates rolling. Thanks for listening to the Nobody's Talking Podcast. Welcome to Episode 152 of Nintendo Therapy, a show about the latest Nintendo news, rumors, and a celebration of all things Nintendo. This week, we kick off Year of the Backlog with Kevin finally completing Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from the Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 1. Rather than immediately moving on, the conversation turns into a deep appreciation of why Snake Eater still stands as one of the greatest games ever made. We talk about its tight but content-rich design, incredible immersion, unforgettable boss fights, and the emotional weight of Snake and The Boss. It's a masterclass in prequel storytelling, showing how Big Boss's transformation feels earned in a way few franchises ever pull off.On the Nintendo front, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance joins the GameCube Classics lineup, giving fans another reason to revisit (or finally experience) one of the most beloved entries in the series. We also run through the biggest January 2026 Switch and Switch 2 releases, including major updates, new editions, and long-awaited ports.Harrison leads a discussion on the recent spike in Nintendo 3DS prices, exploring why interest in the system is rising again and how renewed demand for dual-screen experiences could influence Nintendo's future hardware decisions. That leads into a fascinating conversation about voice recognition on Switch 2, sparked by new software from Hitachi. We imagine how voice mechanics could be used in classic Nintendo games and remakes, from Hey You, Pikachu and Nintendogs to Animal Crossing, Brain Age, Luigi's Mansion, and more. The episode's Spotlight focuses on Streets of Rage (#50) and Streets of Rage 2 (#49). We break down why Sega's gritty beat 'em up series still holds up decades later, how it stacks up against Final Fight, and why Streets of Rage 2 is often considered the high point of the genre. From iconic characters and co-op chaos to Yuzo Koshiro's legendary soundtracks, this spotlight is a full-on love letter to one of the most influential brawler series of the '90s.All that and more in Episode 152 of Nintendo Therapy.
