In this podcast, I provide my thoughts and analyses on Joel Schumacher's director's cut of Batman Forever (colloquially known as the Schumacher Cut) which I had the incredible opportunity to watch at Smodcastle Cinemas. I believe that, if Warner Bros can do so, it should #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut to the public. Since I only watched the Schumacher Cut once, please note that this podcast is predicated on my best recollection of the events in the film.
In this podcast, I examine the underlying theme of the power of a second chance in Marvel's Spider-Man Season 2, specifically as it pertains to the characters of Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus, and the Vulture. In doing so, I also raise awareness for injustices taking place in the American criminal justice system and how they reveal the imperative for a more rehabilitation-oriented criminal justice ideology.
In this podcast, I examine the thematic relevance of Felix Harmon, otherwise known as the Gotham Butcher, and how his story highlights the violent history of the United States government. I draw parallels between the Court of Owls and the Skull and Bones Society and explore how both the Court of Owls and the United States government have historically incited violence to prevent the redistribution of wealth.
In this podcast, I examine the thematic relevance of the Interrogator, Batman's foe from an episode of Batman: The Animated Series titled "The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy." I explore the similarities between Batman and the Interrogator as well as the dangerous impacts of using enhanced interrogation methods. In this podcast, I examine what makes Malekith from Thor: The Dark World one of the best and most complex villains in any movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This is a version of the "Sacrifice And Belief - Why Malekith Is A Great MCU Villian" podcast that has been updated for Phase 4 of MCU now that it has been completed with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In this podcast, I examine the nuances of Sonny Burch in Ant-Man and the Wasp and how he relates to the desperation that opportunists feel during the Gold Rushes. This podcast is also published by Wheaton College WCCS Radio Podcasts.
