What's good Dojo ⛩️ We wanted to tap in with y'all as we move into a new chapter. As most of you know, the show started with three of us, and over time it naturally evolved into just the two of us — Hesh and Domino. During that transition, we kept using “The Dojo” as a placeholder in case the trio ever came back together, but now we've officially accepted that this is our new form.Same energy. Same conversations. Same laughs. Just a new era — and this time, we want a name that really sticks. Something we can build, brand, trademark, and truly grow into. We've already brainstormed a few ideas, but we also want to open the floor to the people who've been rocking with us from the start. If you've got creative, clever, funny, or fire name ideas for the podcast, drop them. Nothing is off the table. This isn't just a rename — it's the start of our next venture, and we want the community involved like always.Appreciate y'all for growing with and supporting us through this transitioal period. This week, the boys grabbed some beers and kept it positive while they fired off some mini-reviews before featuring a conversation about “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. As part of the random year generator series, 2004 was a great year for movies, with over 50 $100m movies and many likable ones. While “Eternal Sunshine” didn't gross in the top 70, it may be the year's greatest film. Props to Michel Gondry and Charlie Kaufman for giving Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet some juicy roles and incredibly shifty worlds! As for the mini-reviews, the boys can't speak highly enough of Gore Verbinski's “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die”, starring Sam Rockwell, and the intense and captivating “If I Had Legs I'd Kick You”, and the Academy Award-nominated “It Was Just An Accident”. It's Marvel Monday and it's finally time to watch the first Avengers movie! ABOUT THE AVENGERS Earth's mightiest heroes must come together and learn to fight as a team if they are going to stop the mischievous Loki and his alien army from enslaving humanity. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR THE AVENGERS May 4, 2012 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF THE AVENGERS Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk Chris Hemsworth as Thor Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye Tom Hiddleston as Loki BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS SHIELD is freaking out because they got an energy reading from the Tesseract. They have no idea why, so they're trying to get everyone out. Nick Fury comes in to talk to the scientist and catch up with Clint Barton, aka Hawk Eye, who he's stationed in the corner of the factory just to keep an eye on things. Suddenly, a laser shoots out and opens up a portal. Loki comes walking out. They tell him to stop and he starts shooting stuff. He pulls Clint under a spell to help him steal the Tesseract. Nick Fury decides it's time for operation Avengers. So he calls Agent Natasha Romanoff to travel to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner. No one knows gamma radiation like Bruce and that's the key to tracking the Tesseract down. SHIELD gets to work on getting Steve Rogers & Tony Stark on board. Loki is mad Thor is king, so he is working with this thing called "The Other" who just wants a bunch of worlds. Loki agrees to help get him the Tesseract which will help him take over worlds and then he'll give Loki Earth. So Loki goes to Germany so that Clint can steal stuff needed to stabilize the Tesseract. The Avengers show up and Loki surrenders. Movie over. Jk. Thor arrives and frees him, hoping to convince him to abandon his plan and return to Asgard. Stark and Rogers find them again and Loki is imprisoned in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying base. The Avengers argue about how to best handle the Loki situation especially after finding out that their plans for the Tesseract aren't to use it for good. They talk to Fury about it and he tells them they're making weapons to use against aliens. Needless to say, the Avengers are not doing well. They don't like each other. They argue about everything. And they're being attacked by Loki's baddies, including Clint. This attack makes Bruce very angry and he turns into the Hulk. He chases after Natasha and hits her. Before he can do more damage, Thor shows up. Unfortunately, Loki ends up getting away & sending Thor falling to what might be his death. Loki then escapes after stabbing Agent Coulson. Fury uses Coulson's death to motivate the Avengers to work together as a team. Loki uses the Tesseract to open a portal above Stark Tower in New York City, allowing his baddies to attack. The Avengers, as they now call themselves, work together to protect New York. The Hulk knocks Loki out while Black Widow finds out that Loki's scepter can shut down the Tesseract. Fury's bosses don't trust the Avengers, so they shoot a missile at New York City. So Iron Man flies to intercept the missile and flies it toward the wormhole. Right when he pushes it through, Black Widow closes the wormhole but Stark is unconscious. The Hulk catches him and the Avengers wake him up. Thor moves Loki and the Tesseract to Asgard, where Loki will face justice for his crimes. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Are we being slowly prepared for alien disclosure… or are we connecting dots that were never meant to touch? In Episode 36, we break down the recent UFO and UAP chatter — from presidential “classified” comments to the idea of soft disclosure and whether Hollywood could be part of the acclimation process. Then we pivot to this week's biggest trailers: Lee Cronin's darker, horror-driven take on The Mummy, House of the Dragon Season 3 ramping toward full-scale Targaryen war, and Bob Odenkirk stepping further into action-thriller territory with Normal. We also recap the brutal penultimate episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and the fallout from Baelor's tragic fate.On the Marvel front, we dive into multiverse chaos — Doom rumors, TVA collapse theories, and new breadcrumbs for Spider-Man: Brand New Day that could quietly reshape the MCU.Aliens. Dragons. Doom. Let's get into it.

Hello and welcome to Bill vs the MCU! Each month your hosts Pop Break Podcasting Director Alex Marcus and Pop Break Editor in Chief Bill Bodkin are taking another step into the wider Marvel Multiverse as the MCU dives deeper into their Multiverse Saga.Bill & Alex spent all of 2022 rewatching the first four phases of the MCU, and, in the years since, they have covered the first four seasons of Agents of SHIELD, the entire Netflix Defenders Saga, Fox's X-Men,  Fantastic Four, and Daredevil films, the Blade trilogy, a few Punisher films, Ang Lee's Hulk, and, most recently, Marvel's Modern Animation line up of shows. This month, Alex & Bill are celebrating Valentine's Day by covering the most romantic Spider-Man franchise: The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the two films Sony made because they contractually had to make…something. These films star Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and a wildly overqualified cast of supporting players. They get into how these films came into being, what about them works better than you might remember, what about them is even worse than you thought was possible, and what Sony's Spider-Man Cinematic Universe that almost was might have looked like before they fired Garfield and kicked the franchise's creative direction over the Marvel Studios for a second reboot in under a decade. They also give early thoughts on Wonder Man and the latest trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, both of which the pod will cover in their July 2026 episode.Come back next month for part three of Podding the Spider-Verse with reviews of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), now streaming on Netflix, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), now streaming on Disney Plus!

#55. Retro '90s Dating Show but with Indie Game Characters (for Valentine's Day)

    Indieventure

Being firmly children of the '90s, all three hosts of Indieventure are at least passingly familiar with Blind Date, the British dating game show that ran from 1985 to 2003 which was iconically hosted by Cilla Black and Paul O'Grady. Look, I promise this is relevant. When we realised we couldn't do our originally planned topic for this episode and needed to come up with something else at short-notice, and also that the release date fell right around Valentine's Day, we threw around some ideas and eventually realised we'd just re-invented Blind Date with extra steps. Such is the millennial curse, I suppose (one of many). So yes, this is one for the bit-o'-bullshit fans, as we trot out indie gaming's most eligible batches (I'm told that this is the gender-neutral term for bachelors and bachelorettes – I'm personally a proponent of bachelandorette but fine, it's fine) for a dating game panel show type arrangement. We each attempt to embody our chosen singletons (and a few that we thought just ought to dump their canonical partners); ask some off-the-wall questions of one another; get briefly weirded out because as long-time friends playing a dating game together is a surprisingly odd experience; and generally attempt to do improv despite none of us being trained in the art. It goes surprisingly well! We had a lot of fun, hopefully you will too. I won't spoil the surprise by revealing the dates right here, but suffice to say if you've ever wondered which character from another game should be the next addition to Melinoë's polycule, or whether Chef Fujimoto from Octodad has healed enough to move on with his life and find love… well, the answers are all in this episode. Allegedly. I cannot stress enough that none of this is canon, and for legal reasons we don't claim that it is. We finish, as ever, on our hyperfixations, and it says a lot about the vibes of this episode that they're comparatively quite hinged this week. In preparation for the imminent release of Resi 9, Liam has been addressing the sole gap in his Resident Evil franchise knowledge by finally playing RE6 to see if it's as bad as he remembers from when he played half an hour at launch and then dropped off it. Rachel continues her commitment to playing fewer games slower with shout-outs to upcoming Paranormasight sequel The Mermaid's Curse, Cairn, and hidden gem of the farming/social sim genre Before The Green Moon. Rebecca, meanwhile, has been tempted back into the MCU by the word-of-mouth reputation of Wonder Man – an honestly brilliant buddy dramedy about the vicious world of Hollywood that just happens to feature some superheroes occasionally – and can't believe that Disney isn't doing more to promote their best Marvel offering in years that just happens to feature two men of colour as the leads, hmmm how strange, GO WATCH WONDER MAN while you ponder that one everybody. What if Marvel already told us what happens between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars… and we just didn't realize it? In this episode of Marvel Maniac, Eric Sequeira (Mr. Honest) explores a theory that the Multiverse Saga may be missing one crucial chapter — a Doctor Strange film that bridges the collapse of reality and the final battle for the multiverse. From Strange's philosophy of surrender, to the incursion fallout of Multiverse of Madness, to the possibility that Dormammu could return as a cosmic wildcard, this episode dives into why a Strange-centered story might be necessary to make the saga's ending feel earned. Along the way, Eric also talks about the current state of Marvel fandom, the rise of ultra-real AI-generated MCU scenes circulating online, and why the MCU still feels alive between the movies. If the multiverse is breaking… Doctor Strange might be the only one who understands how to fix it.

WONDER MAN is being praised as one of the best Marvel TV Shows ever! That got DJ and Roxy thinking, what other truly great shows are part of the MCU? Where does WONDER MAN stack against DAREDEVIL, WANDAVISION, and LOKI? Do shows like SHE-HULK or AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. even make the cut? We asked the fans to find out!Support!https://www.allsorrows.com/store/p/danger-boi-the-antagonists-comichttps://chuffed.org/project/167415-monarca-mn-rapid-response-lineMore DJ!https://www.youtube.com/djtalkstrashMore Roxy! https://www.youtube.com/roxystriarTheme Music by: Steven James SchmidtFor exclusive bonus podcasts like What We're Into, Mutant Academy, and more, check out our Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/OnlyStupidAnswers
