This week, we first spoke with Suchitra Balachandran. She is a College Park resident who serves as the chair of Our Revolution Prince George's. In this segment, we talk about money in politics and OR PG's effort to pass a small donor matching program for county elections, similar to ones in Montgomery and Howard County. We then spoke with Miranda Mlilo, a student activist serving as President of UMD's Students for Justice in Palestine. She serves as Vice President of the University of Maryland's College Democrats. In our interview, we discuss Tuesday's College Park elections, prospects for 2018, and the recent news with the Democratic Party. Jack Flowers is a PhD student at UMD that is organizing the Prince George's Green Party. We discuss the strategy of the Green Party, how it fits within the progressive movement, and the shortcomings of the Democratic Party in representing grassroots' interests. Make sure to vote Tuesday!
