After a much needed hiatus (what else is new?), I'm back with an episode I've wanted to record for a LONG time. After what feels like an eternity, on October 22nd, my band Sentinels released our debut full-length album 'Collapse by Design'. For those who don't know, when recording this album, I was tasked with handling the lyrical duties. So here, we go over the stories and perspectives behind the lyrics of the album, in depth. This is the most vulnerable I've ever been, writing and explaining the meanings behind these songs. Hope you enjoy and can look at this record from a new perspective.

We're back (again) baby & with Adam De Micco, guitarist of deathcore heavyweights Lorna Shore. Aside from the slight technical difficulties on my end during recording (which result in a rough hissing sound at one point, I apologize), this is probably one of my favorite episodes to date. Adam & I dive into his beginnings as a guitar player & his journey of becoming an incredible songwriter with Lorna Shore. We also discuss their new masterpiece of an EP, his most influential records and much more.

What's this? A vocalist? Yes, and one of the best in the world of metalcore. JT is the vocalist for progressive metalcore band Erra and formerly the vocalist of Texas In July. JT and I discuss our involvement in a band we were once technically in together, our love for sci-fi/action films, standup comedy. Of course, we touch on his transition from TIJ to Erra, and their new self-titled record (spoiler alert: it's a banger if you haven't listened to it yet). My guest this episode is Buster Odeholm, guitarist and songwriter of Humanity's Last Breath & drummer of Vildhjarta. He's also a renowned mixing & mastering engineer for his very own production company, Impact Studios. We discuss his introduction to heavy music, becoming an audio engineer, Humanity's Last Breath, the behind the scenes of Vildhjarta and their upcoming record, Thall, and more!

My guest this week is my dear friend, Liam Beeson, guitarist of the monstrous deathcore band Brand of Sacrifice. Liam is one of the funniest people I know and an absolute ripper on the guitar. We talk about his introduction to music, some memories of BOS's first tour with us (Sentinels) and others, their new incredible record "Lifeblood", and more.

My guest this week is my dear friend and incredible drummer, Isaiah Perez! Isaiah plays for metalcore band Phinehas and now Love and Death, featuring Brian "Head" Welch of Korn and Jasen Rauch of Breaking Benjamin. We discussed his joining of Love and Death, our love for Meshuggah and Thall, and even our love for movies. Apologies for the horrific background working noises from my father in the final 15 minutes.

My guest this week is my dear friend Bobby Crow, drummer and songwriter of the monstrous Pittsburgh deathcore band Signs of the Swarm. We talk about his introduction to and interest in music. We also discuss the reasoning behind his switching of positions in Signs of the Swarm throughout the years, touring, and becoming the drummer/musician he is today.

My guest this week is my buddy and one of my long-time favorite drummers, Navene Koperweis. He is the drummer & song-writer in the progressive (death) metal band Entheos. He is also the former drummer of Animals as Leaders & Animosity. He's also tracked drums for the latest Whitechapel record, as well as the upcoming Job For A Cowboy record. He also has an electronic discography under the name, Navene K, as well as some new electronic music in the works. Lastly, he is 1/2 of the KoperCrabb Podcast with his fiancee Chaney Crabb. The man has done a lot, to put it lightly. We talk about working a day job while at home, how he's been keeping busy during the pandemic, then venture into his journey as a touring drummer.

Took a little break, but we're back baby. My guest this week is Tyler Saczawa, drummer of NJ metalcore band Born A New. Tyler is one of the hardest-working dudes I know in our scene. We discuss his introduction to drumming, and later joining Born A New, pushing them into becoming a national touring act. We also touch on the aspect of building connections and relationships on tour and within the industry. Then we close it out with throwing some love to our drummer friends and influences.

My guest this week is Austin Archey, drummer of the deathcore band Lorna Shore. Austin is also the owner and founder of his clothing line Love Crime Supply Co., as well as a photographer and videographer. He's one of the most down to earth, humble, and gifted human beings I've ever met. We talk about him joining & the early days of Lorna Shore, the ups and downs along the away, and we even touched on some of the making of their discography. We then venture into the topics of relationships, self-love, and opening yourself up to new things in life, as well as discussing his start up of Love Crime.

Welcome to the very first episode of The Six Stroke Podcast! My guests this episode are Kenny, Connor, Christian, and Mark of the progressive metal band Pathogen. These guys are a new class and breed of the genre. They take everything you ever thought about "djenty" metal and turn it around on you with a take on it you weren't prepared for and didn't know you needed. We talk extensively about their formation, working with producer and mutual friend Aaron Chaparian, and their new debut album "Null Space". We also share plenty of laughs, get deep into the technical aspects of their music, and nerd out over some bands.
