Hello babies! We're getting out a bit more, thankfully. Emily went to a family reunion in West Virginia and stayed at a very strange hotel, and Lisa is playing pool with horses or something. On Wiki of the Week, we read the Wikipedia pages for "List of Bad Luck Signs" and "List of Lucky Symbols," in celebration of Friday the 13th last weekend. The list of warning signs and symptoms of selenium toxicity. Are you taking too much selenium? Here's how to find out: Selenium is a very important micronutrient for your body. It is included in certain proteins, called selenoproteins, that enable your cells to function properly, reduce inflammation, and produce antioxidants. Many people suffer from selenium deficiency which leads them to use selenium supplements. That's all good but what happens when they take too much? They may end up with minor signs of selenium toxicity. True selenium toxicity is rare, but a slight amount of selenium toxicity isn't uncommon and can occur if you accidentally take too much selenium in your supplements! This is often a problem for patients with thyroid disease because they know that using selenium can help reduce thyroid gland inflammation. Minor symptoms of selenium toxicity include: - Hair loss - Brittle nails - Fatigue - GI problems - Joint pain - Nausea These are more common than the serious symptoms but let's include the more serious symptoms as well: - Neurological problems - Paralysis - Selenosis (selenium poisoning) So, how much selenium should you take? The RDA for selenium is around 40-55mcg per day. My recommendation is 100-200mcg per day. Some doctors recommend 400-600mcg per day (probably only good for a short period of time and to treat very specific conditions). The best way to avoid selenium toxicity is to do 2 important things: #1. Check your supplements for selenium! See if you are accidentally taking too much using the guidelines above. #2. Pay attention to how much selenium you are getting from food (organic versions have more nutrients) Food sources high in selenium include: Brazil nuts, fish, ham, pork, beef, chicken, eggs, brown rice, oatmeal, spinach, bananas, But note that nutrients vary based on where plants were grown/harvested and whether or not they are organic. Do you have any of the signs of selenium toxicity? Let me know! "Sign #1. Fake Humility. Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less. Philippians 2:3 tells us, “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Narcissists are by definition self-absorbed, but they know that it's not Christ like nor socially acceptable to be selfish, so many will mimic fake humility, perhaps even going so far as to put themselves down. But watch out, this seemingly humble person will not put you first, especially if no one else is watching. Sign #2. Fake Niceness. Who doesn't like a nice and agreeable person? Narcissists have learned this one (especially the covert ones). But be careful, they will smile to your face but throw you under the bus if it suits their need. With their laid back attitude and seemingly sincere smile, these covert narcissists talk with a really sweet voice and pretend to be interested in you but truth be told, they are only looking for you to return the niceness and feed their fragile ego. If you disagree or offer constructive criticism, you'll see an entirely different side to this seemingly 'nice' person. Sign #3. Fake Sincerity. Have you ever had someone agree to your face and disregard you behind your back? It can be frustrating. Narcissists, especially the covert ones, will not have the courage to disagree with you or be truthful. Instead, they will tell you what you want to hear and do what they want anyway. Matthew 5:37 is clear in this command: “But let your ‘Yes' be ‘Yes,' and your ‘No,' ‘No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” Don't stay stuck trying to hold them accountable for their lies disguised as oversights; they have no intention on being real with you. Sign #4 Fake Giving. Make no mistake, narcissist are not generous people. They have the attitude of, what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine . They will, however, give for two reasons: one, if they want something in return, or two, to make themselves look good. Matthew 23:5a describes them best when it says: “They do all their deeds to be seen by others. Sign #5 Fake Faith. Christian narcissists are typically in the Christian circles long enough to learn the “faith” terminology. They know what to say to make themselves sound like faith champions. But watch what happens when a crisis hits. Their self centered, fragile ego doesn't rely on God. They turn to people and EXPECT help and if they don't get it, they play the victim. Remember faith without works, is dead (James 2:17). Sign #6 Fake Repentance. Narcissists aren't apologetic. To do so, would shatter their fragile image. However they do understand that repentance is part of the Christian process, so they fool many people with their half hearted, often side handed apologies, that typically put the blame right back on you. Be careful of apologies that shallow and have no personal responsibility." --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/support
In this episode, my guest, Hunter Thompson, and I talk about how pain can be a great motivator to achieve greater heights, how to clear your message so it's compelling, and how putting yourself in a better position is the key to achieving success. Listen carefully as Hunter shares his speculations of the market and ongoing trends and the signs to watch out for in order to devise a plan in line with today's economy. Hunter Thompson is the Managing Principal at Asym Capital. Asym Capital (“Asym”) is a private equity firm that helps accredited investors achieve diversification through recession-resistant real estate assets. The opportunities provided by Asym include investments in mobile home parks, grocery store-anchored shopping centers, self-storage facilities, multi-family apartments, and much more. Through its syndication model, Asym gives investors the opportunity to achieve true portfolio diversification, through high-quality commercial real estate. [00:01 - 13:30] Fighting for What Matters to You Hunter had a catastrophic injury that prevented them from bending his wrist. In business, talent is irrelevant - all that matters is what you're able to do. This is true even for those at a lower level, as long as they're able to overcome their obstacles. Your strengths should be emphasized and it is important to try to stay positive in difficult times. [13:31 - 21:28] Have a Specific Plan in Place for Your Investment It is important to have a playbook and to operate in a market with proven success. People should not underestimate the importance of fundraising, although it is not easy for everyone. Have an automated system in place to get investors knowledgeable and excited about your company. Present your company in a way that makes them want to invest and do not cross investors. Paving the way to scale If a business is able to scale, it does not require more work - it's simply a matter of pouring more gas on the fire. [21:29 - 50:44] Trends and Signs to Watch out for Different people have different styles, and it's important to be authentic in order to be successful. Be wary of the signs of a recession. Real estate investors should be aware of this. Interest rates are rising because of inflation and political pressure, and it's important to put this in context. Cash flow depreciation, passive income, and having a portfolio of only high-yield investments are all benefits of building a business around a specific goal. Your focus should be on raising capital, primarily, not anything else. [50:45 - 53:36] Closing Segment Connect with Hunter Thompson via his website, check out his free training, and register to 100K to Invest Summit. Tweetable Quotes: “People that are pessimistic are like, I'll probably give this presentation, it's not going to work. They're more prepared for that.” - Hunter Thompson “There are so many real estate coaches out there that focus so much on finding the deals and what paint to use and all this stuff, it's honestly kind of ridiculous because, man, if you can come up with the money, it all comes to you.” - Hunter Thompson

Some of the most common symptoms include: Having recurrent nightmares Acting or feeling as though the traumatic event were happening again, sometimes called a “flashback” Being physically responsive, such as experiencing a surge in your heart rate or sweating, to reminders of the traumatic event Having a difficult time falling or staying asleep Feeling more irritable or having outbursts of anger Feeling constantly “on guard” or like danger is lurking around every corner Making an effort to avoid thoughts, feelings, or conversations about the traumatic event A loss of interest in important, once positive, activities Experiencing difficulties having positive feelings, such as happiness or love
Polycystic kidney disease is an inherited disorder where clusters of cysts develop within the kidneys, causing the kidneys to enlarge and lose function over time. The cysts, which are noncancerous sacs containing fluid, vary in size, and they can grow to be large. This disorder can occur in children and adults. The two main types of polycystic kidney disease, caused by different genetic flaws, are: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Signs and symptoms of ADPKD often develop between the ages of 30 and 40. In the past, this type was called adult polycystic kidney disease, but children can develop the disorder.Only one parent needs to have the disease for it to pass to the children. If one parent has ADPKD, each child has a 50% chance of getting the disease. This form accounts for most of the cases of polycystic kidney disease. Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD). This type is far less common than is ADPKD. The signs and symptoms often appear shortly after birth. Sometimes, symptoms don't appear until later in childhood or during adolescence. Both parents must have abnormal genes to pass on this form of the disease. If both parents carry a gene for this disorder, each child has a 25% chance of getting the disease. Polycystic kidney disease also can cause cysts to develop in the liver and elsewhere in the body. The disease can cause serious complications, including high blood pressure and kidney failure. The disease varies greatly in its severity, and some complications from polycystic kidney disease are preventable. Lifestyle changes and treatments might help reduce damage to the kidneys from complications, but long-term interventions, including dialysis or kidney transplant, are sometimes needed. On this special Ask the Mayo Mom edition of the Mayo Clinic Q&A podcast, host Dr. Angela Mattke is joined by Dr. Christian Hanna, a pediatric nephrologist with Mayo Clinic Children's Center to discuss PKD in children.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15. It says,“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.”SHARE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBEContact LCP:• email@example.com• http://www.lifeclipspodcast.com• https://www.lifeclipspodcast.com/contact• https://www.lifeclipspodcast.com/where-to-listenThis week we will dive into Episode 4 and Episode 5Links Used:Catechism - https://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTMChakra and the bible https://www.gospel-john.com/wedding-cana/Equipment Used:•Video Editing used: Wondershare•Microphone: Blue Yeti•Camera: Kyro Pro

Are you getting traffic but it's not converting? Or are you not getting traffic at all? Kate notes that many factors that can impact this. But the first question she usually asks is, “Are you doing anything to bring traffic to your website?” Your website should be where your social media, media appearances, new inquiries, DMs—everything should be directed to. Once there, your website needs to strategically guide visitors to take a desired action. If someone is looking to increase traffic, the answer is SEO. Katie's biggest recommendation is to add regular, relevant, and consistent content to your website. You must make sure it's SEO optimized and then share it everywhere. People don't understand that ongoing SEO is necessary. It means blogging (and updating blogs), writing metadata, adding photos, building your portfolio, link-building—and so much more—consistently. How to get ideal clients to connect with you Katie says to look at your website copy. What are you saying? Is it strategically speaking to your ideal client? Who is your ideal client? Many people don't have their ideal client nailed down and it's a mistake. You need to get specific about your ideal client—who are they? What are their pain points? How are you helping them with that? Does your website content speak to that person? You need to direct them to the next step. The next step is usually to complete a contact form or book a discovery call. All of your calls to action should work toward that goal. Teach them who you are, qualify them, and give them information about you to direct their steps. Think about the end result first. How does every page work toward that? Keep listening to hear how Katie suggests structuring pages to drive visitors to your call to action. 5 signs it's time to revamp your interior design website Kate shares 5 signs when you KNOW it's time to hire a pro: Your business is running almost entirely on referrals: While referral business is positive, it's also a red flag. It means your website isn't generating leads for you. If it isn't, something's wrong. You are getting leads—but they're the wrong leads: Consider adding qualifiers to your contact form to combat this issue. Is something on your website (like pricing language) missing? Your business has evolved: If your website hasn't evolved with your business, it needs to be updated. Your website needs to reflect all of the changes your business has made. You avoid sending people to your website: If you're embarrassed to direct people to your website, that's a clear sign that your website is outdated (or you hate it). You've been thinking about rebranding for a while. If you've been eying a website you love for a while or are gathering inspiration, take the next step. Find a season in your business where it's a good time to revamp your website. If it's time to take the next step, connect with Katie!
