It's a St. Patrick's Day episode, and the energy is exactly what you'd expect—chaotic, funny, and completely unfiltered. Daniel and Luis kick things off in full holiday spirit, or at least one of them does. Luis shows up fully committed to the theme with green gear, accessories, and even green beer, while Daniel does his best to keep up with a much more low-key approach. That contrast sets the tone for the entire episode: one part preparation, one part winging it, and all of it entertaining. From the jump, the conversation flows naturally into what makes moments like this fun—the vibe, the spontaneity, and the ability to just laugh at whatever happens in real time. It's not about perfection; it's about showing up, celebrating the moment, and letting the conversation go wherever it wants.Early in the episode, Daniel takes a moment to give a genuine shoutout to Kelvin Gastelum, highlighting something that goes beyond sports. Instead of just focusing on his success in the UFC, Daniel talks about how Gastelum continues to give back to his hometown by organizing local fight events and bringing in other fighters and personalities. It's a reminder that success doesn't have to mean leaving everything behind—it can also mean reinvesting in the community that helped shape you. The way Daniel describes the growth of these events, from smaller productions to more polished showcases, makes it clear how much impact one person can have when they stay connected to where they came from. It's one of those moments in the episode where things briefly shift from jokes and banter to something more meaningful, without losing the authenticity of the show. One of the standout segments comes when they dive into a discussion about Nu Metal, sparked by a conversation they heard elsewhere. What starts as a simple topic quickly turns into a nostalgic deep dive into bands like Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down, Disturbed, and Limp Bizkit. They break down what defines the genre, why it resonated so much during their younger years, and how it still holds up today. Daniel shares a story about bonding with a classmate who didn't even speak the same language, all through a shared love of music. It's a perfect example of how music can transcend barriers and bring people together in ways that don't require words. Luis adds his own experiences, talking about introducing different types of music to coworkers and how reactions can vary depending on taste, culture, and exposure. The conversation isn't just about bands—it's about identity, connection, and how certain eras of music leave a lasting mark on who you are.As the episode continues, things take a more playful turn with a viral-style game where they have to choose between different “rooms” filled with celebrities. It's one of those segments that instantly sparks debate, not just between them but also with the audience. They try to figure out who's in each room, debate their options, and ultimately make their picks based on a mix of attraction, curiosity, and humor. What makes it work is the back-and-forth—the second-guessing, the jokes, and the willingness to call each other out. By the end of the episode, what stands out most is how effortlessly everything comes together. There's no single “main topic,” but that's exactly the point. It's a mix of stories, opinions, jokes, and reflections that create a full experience rather than a rigid format. Whether they're talking about music, birthdays, sports, or random internet games, the focus stays on connection—between the hosts, with the audience, and through shared experiences. It's the kind of episode that feels like hanging out with friends, where the conversation can go anywhere and still keep you entertained the entire time.Keep Up With Us:Tuesday Live Show Direct Link ► / https://tinyurl.com/tasbl Twitter ► / https://x.com/aftershowblYouTube ► / https://www.youtube.com/c/aftershowblContact Us:928-235-5285
Here comes the snow!!! We're seeing reports of 8-12 inches on Sunday before a high of just 19° on Monday. WTF? Thankfully, it looks like 52° by next Thursday, so it should all melt quickly. We started the show with the Thursday Song and we talked to Office Cora to see what she's up to in the 715 this weekend since she's recovered from her illness last week. In sports, the Bucks are in Miami tonight to take on the Heat, results of yesterday's Big Ten basketball action and a look at today's schedule, Team USA advances to in the World Baseball Classic, and the scores from yesterday's Big Ten men's hockey tourney. We had stories about priests behaving badly, including one who was stealing baseball cards from a Walmart, and an update on the priest who was embezzling money from his own parish. Elsewhere in the news, a new game from the Wordle people to keep you occupied in the morning, and a fun website to waste some time later today. Plus, the outcome of the wife-carrying championships in the UK, and a bunch of terrible grades for Buc-ee's stations. Also in sports this morning, an update on free agency in the NFL, Alex Bowman is going to miss another NASCAR race due to vertigo, we might be seeing an NFL game on Thanksgiving eve this year, Jonathan Davis of KORN is going to be the grand marshal at this weekend's NASCAR race, and an incredible goal from Colin Dorgan. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight. Also talked about Jeff Probst "rapping" on last night's episode of Survivor, and Kelly Clarkson admitting that even though she won American Idol Season One, she never actually received the car or the cash that was promised. Crazy story about a 19 year-old pilot who had to make an emergency landing on a highway in Florida and got an assist from a guy in a pickup truck. And check out this severely neglected pooch who got some much-needed help at an animal rescue in Minnesota and is now living her best life! We asked each other Hypothetical Questions today and Brian's question for Jean was: "Would you rather be able to speak all human languages or be able to speak to animals?" Meanwhile, Jean's question for Brian was: "Would you rather go 100 years into the future or 100 years into the past?" And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a woman who just won a bunch of money in a lawsuit after her boss kept calling her "potato", a kickboxer in the UK who just pulled a 4,000lb car over 160 feet with his junk, a couple of women in Texas who were trying to drop some contraband into a prison using drones, and a #FloridaMan who got a bunch of lap dances & tried to skip out on the payments.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show starts the way all great chaos begins: with a few innocent birthday shoutouts. But this is a daily comedy show, so naturally the conversation derails almost immediately.First up, the crew celebrates a bunch of birthdays — including listeners, family members, and basically anyone within shouting distance of the microphones. Somewhere in the middle of that celebration, the topic shifts to National Frozen Food Day, which sparks an extremely serious and definitely scientific debate about the greatest frozen food of all time. Are Totino's Pizza Rolls the GOAT? Do Eggo waffles even count? Is Stouffer's mac and cheese a masterpiece or a crime against humanity? The arguments get heated… and someone definitely burns the roof of their mouth reliving their pizza roll trauma. Then we get into one of the wildest stories of the day: a DARE instructor — you know, the guy whose job was literally teaching kids to say no to drugs — getting busted for selling them. Out of his patrol car. In uniform. The part that really blows everyone's mind? The punishment is basically weekend jail. The crew debates whether that's justice… or the world's worst episode of The Breakfast Club. From there the show takes a sharp turn into music nostalgia, with the gang breaking down the greatest concert opening songs of all time. Korn, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit — if it's the kind of song that makes you want to run through a brick wall, it makes the list. But the real chaos kicks in when the crew talks about the possibility of buying a movie prop from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls — the famous rhino scene prop. The idea seems brilliant until they find out shipping alone might cost around $8,000. Suddenly the show is pitching sponsorship ideas, planning a cross-country rhino road trip, and trying to convince management this is somehow a “business expense.”Meanwhile, the morning kicks off with dense fog, a bizarre “weather sandwich,” and news that Six Flags St. Louis might be getting new ownership — which raises a critical question: if the DC licenses disappear, do we get to rename all the roller coasters? It's another perfectly ridiculous episode of your favorite funny podcast, where serious topics, weird news, and completely unnecessary debates collide in the best possible way.If you like daily humor, bizarre news stories, and a comedy podcast that never stays on topic for long, welcome to the chaos.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Six Flags sells off Worlds of Fun, Six Flags St. Louis | Here's what that means for the upcoming seasonWoman arrested after six children test positive for alcohol at birthday partyStowaway Svetlana Dali successfully sneaks on plane to Europe againOfficials Warn of Fake Restaurant Inspectors Filming ‘Secret Audits' for Social MediaFormer New York DARE officer admits to selling drugs while in uniform in squad carEffort to raise speed limit in Missouri advancesParayko declines to waive No-Trade Clause, staying put for nowBillikens Turn Back Loyola Chicago 79-65, Claim A-10 Regular-Season Title ShareSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the comedy podcast that turns everyday news, pop culture nonsense, and the weirdest stories on the internet into a full-blown morning show meltdown.Today's episode kicks off with a story that feels like it was written by the world's laziest screenwriter: a DARE officer — literally the guy teaching kids to say no to drugs — got busted selling drugs while on duty in uniform. Not only that, but he was allegedly making deals out of a marked patrol car. Because when you're committing crimes, subtlety is overrated apparently. The gang breaks down the story, the wild investigation details, and the absolutely baffling punishment that has everyone wondering if justice accidentally took the weekend off. From there, the conversation shifts into something that instantly fires up every music fan in the room: the greatest concert opening songs ever. What song makes you want to run through a brick wall the second the band hits the stage? The crew debates legendary openers from Korn, Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, and more — plus the kind of songs that instantly turn a crowd of thousands into one giant mosh pit. If you've ever been to a show where the first riff gave you goosebumps, you'll feel this discussion. Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, where the gang digs into the latest pop culture chaos. Britney Spears headlines the conversation with another headline-making moment that sparks debate about fame, mental health, and the internet's favorite hobby: pretending it knows everything about celebrities. The show also dives into music news, massive concert ticket prices that could destroy a mortgage, and some classic rock album debates that may cause arguments in record stores everywhere.Along the way you'll also hear:The surprisingly light punishment for a cop dealing drugs while in uniformThe songs that instantly turn a crowd feral at concertsWhy some concert intros are basically adrenaline injectionsCelebrity headlines that sound fake but somehow aren'tThe ongoing debate about which albums belong in every vinyl collectionBasically: it's another completely normal day on The Rizzuto Show — which means nothing makes sense, everyone gets roasted, and somehow we still learn something weird. If you're looking for a comedy podcast that mixes weird news, music talk, celebrity chaos, and pure sarcastic nonsense, congratulations — you found it.And remember: if your anti-drug instructor starts selling Adderall out of a squad car… maybe the program needs a refresher.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

A 85. adás vendége Révész Tamás fotográfus, fotóriporter, a World Press Fotókiállítás szervezője. Ian Curtis i zespół One Division śpiewali, że “Love will tear us apart again”, a ja myślę, że gdybym ja zakładała nagle jakiś zespół, A UPRZEDZAM - nie zamierzam, to zrobiłabym remake, że LIFE will tear us apart again. Bo życie czasem ludzi i zmienia i rozdziela. Zmieniamy się my i nasze relacje. Czasami nadając im nową dynamikę, a czasami zamykając pewne etapy, znajomości i związki. The Dead Buddhas stopped by Fox Cities Core on Code Zero Radio (WCZR) to celebrate the release of their debut album Sludge Americana. The Dead Buddhas are a band from Oshkosh, Wisconsin — Connor (vocals/guitar), JT (bass/vocals/recording & mixing), and Kevin (vocals/guitar) — who have been playing together since their high school days at Oshkosh West. They describe their sound as "sludge shoegaze" — a genre-bending collision of heavy, abrasive noise, dreamy post-rock atmospherics, and rootsy Americana influences. Think Black Sabbath meets the Grateful Dead, with a healthy dose of Johnny Cash and Korn thrown in for good measure. There's no single frontman here — all three members share vocal duties, which means any given song can swing from delicate, melodic singing to full-on aggressive screaming. Listening on headphones is strongly recommended.Sludge Americana was recorded and engineered at TR's Recording Studio in Oshkosh, a space the guys have deep connections to through longtime Fox Valley music community figure Uri Weber. JT handled all the recording, mixing, and mastering himself — a testament to the band's fully DIY approach. The album was written mostly on acoustic guitars, which is actually how the album got its name: when Connor and JT first started playing those heavy riffs acoustically, they looked at each other and said, "that kind of sounds like sludge Americana." The name stuck. In this interview we get into the full story — from their early open mic nights at New Moon in Oshkosh (where they were influenced by artists like Sarah Vos Winkle of Dead Horses and Nick Raymond of Traveling Suitcase) to their previous projects (Trying Tribals, Everything Went Silent... don't look those up, they said), to the making of Sludge Americana and what's coming next. We talk about the richness of the Oshkosh music scene, the DIY ethics driving the Fox Valley underground, and why they believe this region could become a legitimate hotbed for alternative music. We also get into the deeper themes of the album — nature, loss, urbanization, the anxiety of watching the world change around you — as well as some lighter moments: dream instruments (saxophone, cello, and lap steel), JT's hiccup phobia, the story behind the song "The Stairwell," Connor's dad and his bagpipes, and the band's whiteboard that doesn't have any markers yet.Sludge Americana is available now on all major streaming platforms and on physical CD.Fox Cities Core airs on Code Zero Radio (WCZR) — broadcasting live from Appleton, Wisconsin.
Some say the “Sgt. Pepper”, post-touring era is the peak of The Beatles recorded music. Others prefer Korn. For those who are slightly more into The Beatles, Tony, T.J. and Producer Casey deep dish Episode 6 of “The Beatles Anthology”. This has always been one of the most fertile and astonishing chapters in Beatles history, but we can all be thankful that Disney truncated it by 15 minutes for those of us in a rush. Beep beep, toot toot, no time for the “For No One” bridge, damn it! And, sure! The UBP3zteetles (you try it, tough guy) talk “Anthology” 6 in great detail, but still find time to probe the throbbing questions, like:

Being easy to work with sounds like praise. For many women, it's actually the beginning of a ceiling. In this episode, Julia Korn unpacks the hidden cost of being agreeable, likable, and low-friction at work, and why those traits so often cap women's power, visibility, and earnings. We talk about the moment “working hard and keeping your head down” stops working. The subtle signals that tell you you're losing influence. And why women are still punished for personality traits that have nothing to do with performance. This is not about becoming abrasive or difficult. It's about owning your leadership brand before someone else defines it for you. If being “easy” is costing you influence, opportunity, or momentum, it's time to rethink the strategy. The takeaway is simple and uncomfortable: If being easy to work with is costing you influence, visibility, and opportunity, it's not working. You don't need to be abrasive. You don't need to be someone you're not. But you do need to stop shrinking. After literal years of trying, one of Bryan's most beloved nu-metal albums, "Strictly Diesel", gets the P.O.D. Kast treatment, and it's probably no surprise that he still loves it...but John loves it too. A true testament of the era, it has all the production quality and heaviness of a late-90s nu-metal album from one of the rare bands that wasn't afraid to say they really liked Korn, Deftones, and Fear Factory, and tried to make an album that borrowed from all of them. We do bemoan the lack of a single on the album in a nu-metal era that demanded singles, and felt like that could've been the one piece the band was missing to truly catapult them to stardom. That and maybe that they admit they were drunk almost all of the time and they certainly were not smart, as Jonny Santos gives us one of the funniest quotes in the show's history. But hey, we love them and we love this album. If you want some more funny stuff, why not head on over to our Patreon? Why not finish the year with a geek-strength pile-on: we've got everything from robot cars freezing up in blackouts to electric Jeeps blowing up in garages, rich fat girls getting high and running over the NYPD, the importance of being prepared for your adventure (whether at sea in your sweet fishing boat or on-trail in your busted up rock rig), and electric school busses that can't keep kids warm (let alone work on hills, in the cold, with a load, or in any municipality's budget). There's also a maddening report on the ongoing inability of bureaucrats to make the Dem's watermelon nightmare of electric everything actually work (stupid physics always getting in the way). More: another way that pinko Chinese manufacturing is destroying the free world, and some analysis of the problem posed by folks who think the Second Amendment is a second-class right (or don't even have one in backsliding nations like Australia) and that bans on guns will stop the evil in a man's heart (when it just stops law-abiding citizens from defending themselves). Going for broke: a rare exception to the Good Soundtrack/Bad Movie Rule, an Excellent Weirdo R.I.P. for Gil Gerrard (Buck Rogers his own damn self), some Morty & Rick, and music from the Chemical Bros., Prodigy, Bio-Mechanical Degeneration, Josh Wink, Naked Funk, Soul Coughing, Poker Face, Mirwais and Korn.

In this extraordinary episode of Takin’ A Walk, host Buzz Knight sits down with Oscar and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Rick Korn for an intimate conversation about the power of music to transform lives,.Rick’s latest documentary, “Cat’s in the Cradle: The Song That Changed Our Lives,” explores one of the most iconic and emotionally resonant songs in American music history, revealing how Harry Chapin’s timeless classic continues to influence musicians, families, and communities decades after its release. Rick Korn has built his remarkable career around creating socially conscious documentaries that don’t just document history—they inspire people to take action and make a difference in the world. Rick has dedicated himself to telling inspiring music stories that illuminate the intersection of artistry and activism, showing how musicians can leverage their platforms to address society’s most pressing challenges. His work with legendary artists and humanitarian causes has positioned him as one of the most important documentary filmmakers working in the music space today. The conversation begins with Rick sharing the origin story of his deep connection to Harry Chapin, the singer-songwriter whose commitment to fighting hunger and poverty was as legendary as his musical talent. Harry Chapin wasn’t just a hitmaker who gave us “Cat’s in the Cradle,” “Taxi,” “W.O.L.D.,” and other chart-topping songs—he was a tireless activist who gave away an estimated half of his concert earnings to charitable causes. In 1975, Harry Chapin co-founded World Hunger Year, which later became WHYHunger, an organization that continues to fight food insecurity in 24 countries around the world, affecting millions of lives every month. His impact on the philanthropic world was so profound that he received the Congressional Gold Medal posthumously, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of artists to use their fame for good. Rick explains how this song, written by Harry’s wife Sandy, became more than just a hit record—it became a cultural mirror that reflected back to America the consequences of misplaced priorities, the pain of missed opportunities with loved ones, and the universal struggle between career ambitions and family responsibilities. The song’s narrative about a father too busy to spend time with his son, only to find that same son too busy for him in later years, struck a chord that continues to resonate more than fifty years after its release. What makes Rick’s latest documentary so compelling is the diverse range of voices he assembled to explore the song’s impact. Billy Joel provides fascinating insights into the craft of songwriting and how “Cat’s in the Cradle” achieved something rare in popular music—a perfect marriage of melody, lyric, and universal truth that transcends generations. Billy Joel’s own relationship with Harry Chapin as a mentor and friend adds emotional depth to his reflections on the song’s enduring power. He discusses how opening for Harry Chapin’s band taught him not just about performing, but about using music as a force for positive change in the world. Rick shares the story of interviewing Darryl DMC McDaniels and being struck by the raw honesty of his reaction to “Cat’s in the Cradle.” Despite coming from a completely different musical tradition, DMC connected deeply with the song’s message about fatherhood, presence, and the choices we make about how we spend our time. The documentary also features Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, whose interview began with him declaring his dislike for acoustic music, only to confess that “Cat’s in the Cradle” was the one song that broke through his resistance. This moment perfectly illustrates the song’s unique power—it can reach people who might otherwise never connect with folk-influenced storytelling music.Support the show: https://takinawalk.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's Homecoming week in Pondhill, 1994. Fourteen-year-old P is barely holding it together, shaving a single whisker in the bathroom mirror, writing a note he almost can't take back, and dialing his best friend Kev before a Zippo flame turns fear into momentum. At school, P's movie-trivia fluency sabotages Kev in a "battle of the sexes" quiz, earning heat from Kev and former best friend Bex. After class, the band - P, Kev, and Dizzy - argues Pantera vs. Korn, then mainlines '90s VHS nostalgia with Ace Ventura and The Crow. Then the impossible slides by in stainless steel: a DeLorean. Its driver, "Miss World," knows her metal, quotes regrets, and won't take three teens on a joyride yet. She'll be back tomorrow at 11 A.M.Under Friday-night lights, P pulls down a highlight-reel TD in a scrappy eighth-grade pickup game while Dizzy's hustling block saves the play. Back in the stands, P's parents pitch football and fitting in. P keeps tugging his shirt straight and his purple beanie low, but the question won't leave him alone: who is he allowed to be, especially if the words for it don't exist here?SMALL BLOCK is a feature screenplay by Ashley Lauren, performed live and mixed like a feature film for your ears.
