The Table exists to be a Christ-centered, outward-focused, community of friends for 20 and 30 somethings in Austin, TX. We’ll post audio versions of our Tuesday night sermons here as well as bonus episodes with exclusive podcast content, Q & A, and real stories of life change.
We take a look at the story in Matthew 9:9-13. There we find Matthew, the tax collector... Why does Jesus pursue Matthew? Why does He invite Matthew to His inner circle? Well, there is a seat for EVERYONE at the table!
We are BACK at The Table! We are going to have a short vision series to remind everyone why The Table exists. Come hear what we believe God’s heart is for The Table and help us take it where God wants it!
We check out Isaiah 9 and see just who Jesus is, and where we find TRUE hope.
We continue on with our series! Spoiler alert? Look at the birds...
Join us as we take a look at the birth of Jesus. A DIVINE human, sent to dwell with us to save us.
We take a look at Matthew 4:18-19 and find that Jesus asks his crew to "follow Him" and then He will make them "fishers of men". Jesus called you to BECOME something, not just do something. He invites us all to "follow Him" so that we can spread the good news.
Revelation 19 describes Jesus coming back to judge and make war in righteousness. When we really think about it, do we hold a higher view of who Jesus is? Do we remember the descriptions that Revelation describes?
Do we get "angry" about the things Jesus gets angry about? Let's find out.
We're moving on in our series with a section in Luke! Do you see yourself through the sinner's eyes? Or the pharisees?
Pastor Matt Thigpen preaches on Matthew 8:1-5 and how much better Jesus is than we even believe!
Meet... Matt Thigpin, our new Table pastor! Listen in as Joey interviews Matt about the future of The Table, and what Denzel W. movie is superior.
We're going over our first Table core value! Christ-Centered.
We take a look at a variety of Proverbs with the central idea of "we are what we associate ourselves with".
Steven gave us a blast from the past focusing on his first Table Day sermon, Mark 10. What is it that’s holding us back from truly living our lives out for Christ?
We take a look at many different Proverbs that strive for humility, and to resist the evils of pride.
The Table is BACK in-person! We move on to our next part of our Proverbs series with parts of Proverbs 18.
Our LAST (Lord willing) Zoom edition of The Table! We continue our series through Proverbs: Wisdom in an Age of Foolishness
The book of Proverbs gives the people of God eternal wisdom in this temporal world where foolishness often seems to reign supreme. We hope you’ll join us as we seek wisdom together! More importantly, we will seek the Giver of wisdom together!
Our final week of our “Joy Invincible” series through the book of Philippians!
Do you ever find yourself reading the Bible and come across a commandment or a passage that seems the exact OPPOSITE of how our culture lives or thinks? Our next passage in Philippians is like that!
Our Austin Ridge friend, John, joins us for this Table Zoom!
In our next passage of Philippians, we’ll be guided by the apostle Paul through different types of days – and how to glorify Jesus in both! Pardon the sound quality, as we had a bit of Zoom interference. :)
We continue on with our series, Joy Invincible... Table Zoom Edition!
Our first Table LIVE Zoom call went great! Hear our chats as we go continue on with the Joy Invincible series.
Hear from some fellow Table friends sharing their stories in how Jesus changed everything.
As we begin Chapter 2 of Philippians today, I want to let you know how much we miss you! This text and the accompanying sermon are focused on the strength of The Table’s third core value, a community of friends.
How are we to act? More accurately, how then are we to live as Christ-followers? That’s where we pick up our “Joy Invincible” series through Philippians today as we cover 1:27-30.
We're looking at possibly the most popular verse in Philippians! Most of you will have heard these words many, many times but I want to challenge to approach our text and our time in worship with a freshness and expectation that might have started to grow stale in this shelter-in-place time. God is still ready and excited to meet with you, no matter where you are!
As we continue our “Joy Invincible” series through the joyful book of Philippians, Paul has a singular focus that is both encouraging and challenging as we examine the own ways we follow Christ.
We are diving into the Book of Philippians, which encouraged a worried church, to combat false teaching, and to thank them for being generous with one another in the midst of great distress.
Join us for another "Shelter in Place" edition of The Table podcast featuring Megan and Steven! They discuss what's new in their quarantined lives, and how we can use this time to spend more time with God in the waiting.
We’ll deal with a question Jesus asks that dissects the heart behind prenups. Those involved want security in case things so badly, a back-up plan. This week’s question from Jesus causes us to consider if we approach Jesus in the same way — cautiously, with an eye toward the exit back to our own desires and old ways of life if things with Jesus go badly.
Join us for this "shelter in place" version of the Table Podcast with Steven and Megan! They chat about what they're learning about during this time of "social distancing" and remaining faithful through it all... all in their separate homes, of course.
On this Hot Seat sermon, we’ll answer Jesus as he poses the following question from Matthew 9, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” Chances are, over the last few weeks you’ve been asking some tough questions as we all navigate through the spread of the coronavirus. I believe this question from Jesus is just as relevant today as it was when he first posed in 2,000 years ago. Do we really believe Jesus can handle this situation? Do we really believe he can handle your life?
We're living in strange times recently! Join Steven and Heather on this episode of The Table podcast as they discuss what we can do and how we can respond as Christians to respond to the Coronavirus.
