This week I chat with Georgia Hinkley who is one half of a same sex couple from WA and has two beautiful daughters, that her wife Kayla carried. Georgia is so open and raw in this conversation about the thoughts and real life situations that she has faced being the non-birthing parent.What does it feel like becoming a mum but not actually giving birth?? or not being the one to carry the baby? How on earth do I bond with it? THIS is the episode that I needed going through mine and Maddys own IVF journey and as the "non-birthing" parent, I struggled with how I was going to bond with the baby when Maddy, my fiance', gave birth.
