Suzanne Noble @ Advantages Of Age
Formerly a session musician, Adrian has now done what so many of us dream about but rarely accomplish - transition his career, move countries and learn a new language. He now works as a health & nutrition coach, voice-over artist and occasional drummer... in Budapest. Listen to him share his story and be inspired.
How we connect with our bodies, especially in our later years, is the topic of this week's talk with my guest Fiona Winter. Fiona works with people of all ages, but primarily older people helping them to move, even if chair bound. Starting out as an actress, she now has been facilitating, mentoring, coaching and training others for over 37 years. She specialises in holistic health and well being, movement and body awareness & personal development. You can find out more about her on her website: https://www.fionawinter.com/
Is there such a thing as a 'good death'? In the latest episode of 'What's Age Got to Do with It?' Suzanne Noble chats with a woman who is on a mission to help others to make end of life plans. Award winning coach and author Jane Duncan Rogers was devastated when her husband died of cancer in 2011. Little did she know that several years on she would become founding director of Before I Go Solutions, a not-for-profit that helps people and especially carers to make good end of life plans, based on questions she had asked her husband before he died. In 2018 her second book, Before I Go: The Essential Guide to Creating A Good End of Life Plan was published. She also leads the B.I.G. accredited training for those wishing to train in the Before I Go Method® and spread this work to their local communities. https://beforeigosolutions.com/
Debbie Golt , seasoned advocate, DJ and enthusiast for diasporal folk music compares notes with A of A Co-Founder Suzanne Noble on formative experiences, promoting musicians and being heard as a woman, and choices in later life where great music is a lifelong passion. Andy Bungay interview jazz musician and soundtrack maestro Duncan Lamont, who inspired a young generation of adventurers with David McKee in collaborating on 1970s children’s TV show Mr. Benn, and discreetly enhanced all manner of multi-media experiences before the term was invented. Duncan died on 2nd July 2019 but will be remembered as one of our leading jazz saxophonists, and our focus this time is on his equally prolific career as a songwriter, which has fuelled The Duncan Lamont Songbook If you’d like to be profiled on this channel, get in touch with us at info@advantagesofage.com
