We tried twice to record this episode, due to make technical errors and internet instability making it a nightmare, hence the name. In this episode we talk about new body parts, we show some old photos of ourselves to each other as part of the fun for us is getting to know each other. We also ask the question, How many bottles of shampoo do you have in your shower? We'd love to hear how many you have to navigate.
Our conversation revolves around the experiences of menopause and its impact on relationships. The girls school us on the challenges faced by women during menopause, including mood swings, hot flushes, and changes in libido. Lisa also touches on the lack of education and understanding for men about menopause. Some of the boys get introduced to andropause, the male equivalent of menopause. We also touched on various topics including relationships, sex drive, weight gain, mental health, and personal growth. We all got a bit brave as we shared our experiences and perspectives, highlighting the importance of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and taking responsibility for one's own happiness.
